Located on Bournemouth's East Cliff, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre, the Menzies East Cliff Court offers 4-star accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking.
Score from 410 reviews Very good
Perched on East Cliff, Best Western Hotel Royale is just a 5-minute walk from Bournemouth’s 7-mile sandy beach. The hotel has a stylish swimming pool, sun terrace and a restaurant.
Score from 663 reviews Very good
Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It offers 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.
Score from 1900 reviews Good
This traditional 17th-century stone farmhouse is located on quiet farmland, less than 1 mile from Hurn Airport.
Score from 50 reviews Good
Staff friendly and helpful
The whole place is much less than advertised and the reviews indicate, I was personally looking forward to enjoying a weekend at a SPA place with a friend but it was all below my expectations, the rooms were ordinary and small, there were no therapists available for treatments and the first room allocated to us smelled really badly, they have dealt with it in a quick manner though. I wouldn't go back.
Breakfast excellent choice and quality.
Family room that we booked unavailable so put in smaller room with no price reduction. Uncomfortable bed. Room too hot. 'Villa' room opened straight onto car park which isn't ideal with a toddler. Decor awful!!
Spa, golf facilities.
Main restaurant menu a little average.
Room Breakfast Pool Location
Duvet- just too hot
Staff were very helpful and professional The spa and pool were good The room was spotlessly clean The location was quiet and peaceful
Modern hotel kept spotlessly clean. Plenty of parking spaces. Rooms good size and air conditioned. Swimming pool is good for a hotel of this size.
Reception was a bit of a let down with staff that perhaps were not experienced enough to cope, good job there was not a rush on or it would have been even more frustrating.
While staying at Dudsbury, my girlfriend and I really enjoyed the services available to us, the location and overall high standards within the establishment were sky high. The spa; with sauna, steam room, swimming pool and Jacuzzi was clean, relaxing and had a lovely atmosphere- and was enjoyed thoroughly. In addition, the golf club was situated well, being close to the beach, but was not extremely busy and chaotic like other clubs can often be. The reception room, bar and dining area were all very lovely, appearing modern and clean, again with a relaxed atmosphere. We rented ine of the cottages on site but not attatched to the Golf Club (about a 1 minute walk) it had a Jacuzzi bath with integrated sound system, auto fill and temperature option, state of the art facilities (shower, toilet, basins etc...) An extremely good get away! Would recommend to anyone and definately go again.
Although the food was lovely, when we went to sit down at the table for breakfast, we arrived about 10 seconds before an older couple behind us, ready to be sat. The server ignored us at first and sat them first and took their order first, then proceeded to seat us. The server then took our room number and soon changed her tune when we told her our room number (the most expensive on site), to which she stopped sticking her nose up at us and treated us like everybody else. Food was awesome, but a couple of the staff are pretty stuck up if you don't walk around in your fur coats and Rolex watches. Which I can't understand why, because the clientel, the golf club members and other guests weren't all "what ho chocs away, lets all go out for the hunt" type. But ultimately, you don't stay somewhere to speak to the servers much.
the hotel was clean and quite, we had a minor niggle with the hot tub, when we voiced our concerns at check out we were compensated due to the coldness of the tub, which was much appreciated, we would use this hotel again,
the hot tub was cold, and not what we would call 100% clean, there was scum marks around the hot tub edges.
Facilities, en-suite excellent. Both of us had key entry for room towels dressing gown ver good quality
Swimming pool cold and jacuzzi. This was the main reason for choosing this hotel
The golf course venue was very pleasant. The room was in a cottage style annex which was large and roomy but with some very suspect decor.
The full English breakfast was more like a "half English breakfast". Very dissapointing for a relaxing Sunday start. We waited half an hour between ordering and getting our food, I assumed it was all being freshly cooked. Alas it was mass produced with zero attention to detail. Oh and the coffee was dreadfull!!! I would not book this hotel again and include breakfast!
Good food and a good nights sleep
Friendly atmosphere, decent food and good breakfast
Was told restaurant was open, went up to dinner but closed on a Monday evening, poor wifi in bar area, chalets 25/26 in converted shed located in 3rd car park...that was bizarre
Plenty of parking spaces and as I was in an outside cottage was able to park by the door to unload. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced meals in Spikes Bar. A good magnifying mirror (for those with glasses a great aid when applying make-up)! Would definitely stay here again.
Surrounding roads grid locked because of the air show. Not the fault of the hotel I know but was a bit frustrating trying to get anywhere.
Location, price, breakfast choice, room size and facilities. The Hotel is part of the Golf Spa complex. Free use of Pool & Gym. Free wifi in the room. Excellent!!
No bath, but apart from that the en-suite was perfect.
The staff were friendly, helpful, courteous & professional. What else is there, what more can one ask for? Everything about the place was excellent, nothing at all to pick fault with.
What's not to like?
loved the location view and amenities.room spotless and lovely comfy king size bed.nice and quiet staff very attentive fantastic value for money resturant with entertainment
only fault with very large king size bed no room for a comfy armchair to sit in
The location and the rooms very comfortable.
That Children under 16 only could use the swimming pool for only two hours between 4.00pm to 6.00pm why? this was never mentioned when making the booking.Family room.
we booked the hotel on a last minute basis at a good price.locatoin is good if you have car.they have nice rooms and swimming pool, sauna and steam to enjoy with.breakfast is made to order which is really good. very nice staff.place is really excellent.we love to come back here next summer!
We are not a golfing family, and booked a one night stay over. Really loved the spa facility, which included robes and towels. The rooms were clean and well presented, and I had a wonderful nights sleep (the bed was perfect) even though there was a party going on this did not intrude on us once the door was closed.
Breakfast was nice, but mushrooms should be included in the English breakfast, and perhaps a better quality sausage should be used. (Just these small tweaks and it would be perfect).
Décor and cleanliness, tea & coffee making facilities, iron/ironing board. Pool and spa facilities excellent.
Bar prices a little expensive.
Clean friendly staff quite comfortable rooms
We are not golfing people and Hurricane Bertha ruled out golf anyway. It was just so peaceful and relaxing, everything so perfect and in such beautiful surroundings that we are really looking forward to visiting you again. Many thanks indeed for all your attention.
It was clean parking was easy It was quiet
the towel rail did not work. breakfast was modest tissue box empty. wifi would not connect bed to big for room
As a Christian I didn't like the Buddha statue in the room
The cottages are a good place to stay, especially room 23. We'll cooked breakfast
Dining room is an add on to the bar and feels like it is a poor cousin of the rest of the facilities
