The Duisdale House Hotel  

The staff were all wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The evening meals were inspired.

The bed was very small and as hard as a rock.

It is a beautiful property in a lovely setting, and most conveniently located for either the Bridge of the Mallaig ferry. The dinner we had in the restaurant was really first class

Our room was extremely small and cramped, with "lovely" views over water tanks to a very close-by high hedge

Very helpful staff, great location and a fine restaurant albeit with a limited menu.

Room looked great, but lacked practicality. No way to hang any clothes, not even a stand for a bag or case. In the bathroom, no shelf in shower and with curved bat edges absolutely nowhere to put soap or shampoo.

The bed was comfortable.

I did not like that there was an expectation that I eat there for dinner. The room we had was very dark. It had dark red walls and black headboard. The light was poor and there was no light to read in bed. We had one window that looked over the fire escape. The WiFi did not work. The room was about twice the cost of anywhere else we stayed in Scotland and it did not feel like good value for the money.

The hotel is located in a quiet country environment and the front office staff are excellent.

Wifi didn't work in the room and the restaurant meals are very overpriced. Simple things like clothes hangers in the room were not provided.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and luxurious. the Satff were lovely and friendly. Made us feel very much at home. They were balanced being very attentive while still giving us privacy very well. The food was fantastic ( breakfast and dinner) . The hotel had a great location with amazing views from the front windows. We were rushing to try to make the ferry whe we left and the staff even phoned ahead for us so the ferry waited for us.

Me parece que es caro, para lo que es. El servicio es mediocre. El personal un poco arrogante. Las habiraciones decoradas muy oscuras, y poco iluminadas.

Scelto questo hotel poichè quello prenotato a Onich non corrispondeva alle qualità descritte, quindi abbiamo scelto di andarcene via, prenotantando prima questa meravigliosa camera.

Chambre bien décorée et de bonnes dimensions. Bon petit déjeuner servi dans une très agréable véranda donnant sur le jardin. Ordinateur à disposition facile d'accès et gratuit.

Nous avons dîné le premier soir mais nous n'avons pas renouvelé l'expérience. Le prix du menu était élevé, mais nous avions faim en sortant malgré une mise en bouche suivie de 3 plats. Les portions étaient ridiculement petites, avec une recherche d'originalité et un mélange de saveurs pas très réussis. Par ailleurs, le prix de la chambre + petit déjeuner est trop élevé par rapport au standing de l'hôtel.

Die Lage mit dem umgebenden Garten ist sehr schön. Allerdings ist man weit von der nächsten Ortschaft entfernt.

Der Hotelpreis ist überzogen. Dieses gilt insbesondere für das angebotene Menue für 45 Pfund. Es ist nichts Besonderes, was den Preis rechtfertigen würde. Am zweiten Abend haben wir daraufhin im sog.Chartroom, sehr einfach möbliert, Gerichte von der Karte gegesssen und wurden vom Eigentümer keines Blickes mehr gewürdigt.

Very friendly personnel, good location, we toured all over Isle of Skye from there.

The price is a bit exaggerated for the rooms already, but for the food and drinks it is really overprized. The wifi didn't work in our room, probably too far away from the router. But all in all, these are minor complaints.
