Pleasant olde-world ambience in most areas, with beautifully cooked breakfast by a very amiable and helpful host. Public bar area spoiled the ambience a little. Unfortunately our room was right above main road - very noisy - as was the plumbing system in the toilet (must have woken neighbouring guests!) |

Fabulous breakfast cooked by Paul. Whole stay was marvellous value for money - especially in Cornwall in August! No staff in the building overnight (I assume) - effectively imprisoned upstairs as downstairs alarmed from midnight to 7.30am. At least I wasn't the only guest staying, in which case it would be a health and safety issue. |

Very nice food at the Pub and at good prices... the room was just ok, but at that price we can't ask for more! Having the fire exit in the room (!!!) I couldn't lock my door - is that legal? In case of emergency all the guests had to rush in my room to get out - it's bizarre!!! |

Very friendly and helpful staff. Around 10 - 15 min walk from St Austell train station, good location for a trip to the Eden Project. Nice breakfast. Need to share toilet with other rooms. The wifi network is not good enough. |

Easy to find, good-sized room, nice breakfast, and the staff were very pleasant. We had dinner at the pub as well, and then participated in the pub quiz afterwards (Wed night) which was most enjoyable! |

The breakfast, very pleasant, the garden great especially as it was so hot. The room was no smoking but smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke. Very noicy, night traffic prevented sleep. |

Friendliness of the staff, and the fact that there was little intrusion of noise from the bar areas later in the evenings The ensuite room was rather small |
