Location very convenient
Poor lighting in bedroom
I entered "Hotels Guernsey" into Safari and chose the Duke. A tremendous choice, real quality in every aspect. It is so conveniently placed just off High Street, yet very quiet. The staff were very considerate of my sight impairment, the food was very good, the room very comfortable, what more need I say? We will be back next time we visit Guernsey.
Gold bar, Ray is very good in his job, good breakfast. Parking is great.
the Toiletten was in poor condition, it was reported, nothing happened.
Location near town centre yet very secluded. Room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast was decent and the staff were friendly.
Car park very limited
Location. fabulous, friendly staff. excellent rooms. spotless. Two minute walk to harbour.
good food good location comfy bed lovely room helpful staff
Bar not open late could hear everything in early morning outside, but am a light sleeper
Friendly service, excellent breakfast, character bar
Bit of a trek up the hill
Location, Staff, Food Price Everything was as it should be Fabulous room, with every thing you needed.
Hotel is on a hill which was not a problem for us but would be difficult for anybody with walking difficulties
The management and staff very helpful, the location ideal, good value for money all round
Location - right on the centre Breakfast - excellent choice, very good quality Comfortable room
The one niggle was that our room was above the outside smoking area. For 90% of the time it was extremely quiet but for 10% of the time it was very noisy. Avoid room 23!
Staff very good, room excellent, good vfm hotel
Bar a little dingy.
The restaurant staff went out of their way to make sure I was catered for. I am coeliac and am always worried about eating out. Everything went really well, the food was always of a very high standard. The reception staff were very helpful and even printed out our boarding passes for our journey home. Would certainly return to this hotel.
The standards at the hotel were of a very high quality across the board. We were very impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Food was of a high standard, as was the cleanliness. It's proximity to the town was of particular benefit.
We had great difficulty in finding the hotel.
We liked the location it was central for everything. The breakfast was very good and the outside bedrooms were lovely although 1 of my friends had a single inside room which was very small.
After returning from a wedding at 11.45pm the barman served us one drink and told us to go to another pub as he was closing up!! Its a bit of a steep hill to the hotel.
Reception/ Aine Breakfast service Ken the bar man Room cleanliness
Saturday night, not being able to have a drink at 11.30ish and being told to try the 'Thomas de la Rue', very poor, don't know the guy's name but he said he had lots of cleaning up to do.
location staff breakfast
no ac in rooms -hot nights need open windows and courtyard below room very noisy-at room rate should have ac in rooms hot water dangerous temperature with no warning notices posted in bathroom
Staff (Standard of Service) & Restaurant (Breakfast & Dinner)
While location good within St Peterport it is noisy from early morning traffic and weekend late night antics of alcohol fuelled youth. Hotel room classed as "Executive" but of average size, depressingly dark and in need of some "maintenance issues". Dinner menu very limited, but plenty of other restaurants nearby. Admiral pub a bit dowdy and no "real ale". OK for a very short business or holiday stay (2 nights maximum).
Staff were very helpful
Quite difficult to find. Even when we found it once by car, we still had trouble the next time.
We especially liked our room now they've been refurbished as we stayed here a few years ago.
The fact that there was no fire escape near our bedroom.
The hotel was fabulous! The staff were so helpful and the room was perfect. The bath in the room was just amazing!
Great location on weekdays, very clean although for the price I would expect a kit bed
Our room was near the beer garden and the smoke from the people smoking kept flooding our room. On the weekend the people drinking in the pub and beer garden were very noisy, so I would not stay on a weekend again.
Clean and comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly.
Bathroom needs updating.
a cheerful staff, location, terrace accommadation and good restuarant.
Quality of food
Position of wash basin in the en suite definitely not suitable for short people!
Friendly staff Central location
