Was a little noisy when guests moved around the corridors and in the room above Room was a little too warm for me but luckily could open the window
Location & rooms & Breakfast
Bar closing too early for residents
Room was great and the hotel is right in the centre of town
Nothing to dislike
Good location for town centre, shops and restaurants etc. Good food in bar albeit a bit quite but probably due to time of year. Good friendly service from all staff.
My room was in the courtyard and was a bit noisey in the mornings with other guests who are up earlier and walking around and cars parked directly outside rooms. Breakfast was only ok, bit of a down after a nice evening meal
Easy access to Town and places to eat.
Cold room and couldn't turn the heating on in the room or the bathroom, the room door didn't open fully and hit the bed when you try to open it. Not very sound proof as you can hear other guess very easily.
The staff were all very helpful and pleasant and the food was very good. We also enjoyed the free use of the hotels DVDs which was a bonus in the bad weather.
The only thing we could criticise was that the bed mattress felt well used and could have been a lot firmer.
Staff were great. Location excellent, nicely maintained clean room, breakfast not bad too.
Our Room layout was a bit awkward. But in an old building you can't get perfection. It was a bit chilly in the breakfast room.
very good value in spot-on location
Location of hotel was excellent with car parking. Bar was adequate for food on one night with reasonable pricing. (Da Nello's following night --expensive but excellent). Room was of a good standard except---see opposite.
Two single beds had been pushed together (not zipped) to make a king size--- so gap in the middle was not comfortable. Also did not specify bath when booking -- ended up with shower which wouldn't have been the end of the world but the size of bathroom was tiny. Room for one person at a time.
The location of the hotel was excellent.
Breakfast was very rushed!!Had just got our cereals when the main breakfast was served!!No soya milk which was very disappointing.
Good welcome. Good breakfast. Very clean. Good central location.
Limited choice of food in bar. Car park entrance a tight squeeze but practice makes perfect.
Room Food Helpful staff
Step down to bathroom
Nice rooms, with up to date and stylish decor. Breakfast was typical for a mid-range hotel. Has a slight motel feel about it, with most room doors opening onto the courtyard car park.
Finding the hotel!!! Sat nav was no use, as it couldn't keep up with the spiral of narrow, twisting, one-way and dead-end roads that this hotel is situated in the middle of. Great for town access on foot. Will not be staying here again due to damage caused to hire car as tried reversing up steep one-way lanes that can be mistaken for the road this hotel lies on and very tight turning into small tunnel for carpark.
Very nice room making it more four star than three star.
Only one set of towels left in the room for two people staying. Small bits and pieces falling off or not working in the bathroom.
Location is good, a few moments to the harbour front and shops. Parking is a good point as well. breakfast fantastic.
A little bit scruffy.
Excellent breakfast Comfortable bed Very well equipped for 3 stars Terrific staff Central location
The shower was a bit obstreperous, meting out abitrary punishment and leaving the bathroom awash.
The breakfast was excellent. Location one of the best. The bar lovely.
Good food, well priced. Comfortable bed and room was very nicely decorated. Great location for getting into town.
Room was far too hot. ( Too windy to have the windows open ). A number of things needed fixing in the room. ( Leaking shower screen, faulty tap, rattling door ) No free water in the room!
Good central location , yet tucked away from the hustle of the Main Street . Quiet
booking.com advertised this as an executive room but we were only given a standard room and we're told by staff that Booking.com had misinformed us. So we did not get the room we thought we had paid for. Staff were miserable.
Restaurant service first class
everything was good and we had a lovely time. The food was excellent as was most things
Better sound proofing between bedrooms or televisions should have restricted volume.
Being on the top floor afforded a fine view out over the harbour, Castle Cornet and the islands beyond. The breakfasts were very good and the staff very helpful and engaging. We had dinner on one evening and that was good as well.
The downside of being on the top floor was the heat of the room (there is no air-conditioning) and the stairs to get there especially with luggage (there is no lift). We had no serious help from the staff to get an early morning taxi. Being told we should have ordered one with more than 12 hours notice was not helpful and left a "bad taste" after what had been a pleasant stay. We eventually secured a taxi through a local restaurant.
The location was excellent
There wasn't a much space to move around the room. The room was very hot and there was no air conditioning to cool the room down.
