The location of the hotel is good. It's close to a couple of underground stops and also close to the center of London. It's very expensive for what is provided, but I think London is expensive anyway. I travel in Europe several times a year, and the rooms are modern, and clean compared to some although its certainly no 4 star hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed by the young lady at reception that a tour company had called the hotel to confirm a tour we had booked to Stonehenge the following day. She told us she informed the company we were not staying at the hotel, because she didn't check the reservations and didn't recognize the name. I asked if she would mind calling the company back to inform them we were indeed staying at the hotel, and to pick us up for the tour. She told me that we could call from the room, and we would be billed for the call. This is pretty much the type of service you can expect here. The breakfast staff, was polite but I'm sure there are many hotels in the area that provide better service.

The staff tried to help, but being from so many different countried there was no real co-ordination & so my requests were ignored My room overlooked the busy, noisy road, my request for a change was sidelined. It was grubby, & the breakfast room was too small & the selection on offer, of food was limited

It was a horrible experience. A small breakfast room - our room on the first night was inhuman, the service was appaling, it cannot be rated as a 4 star hotel. They advertised a room for 2 as being a quadruple room - so we ended up crammed on the first night. The bathroom was a disaster.

Arriving at the hotel we were informed that we would have to change to another hotel with the same quality standards, Reem Hotel. It was a disappointing the lack of quality... Hotel Reem (50-51 Princes Square, Bayswater) - Poor condition of facilities, poor cleaning, etc!

The location was the only thing we liked. The room safe and the refrigerator worked. Staff did not seem to know how to do their job. Staff could not communicate using English language. Breakfast was poor. We had to delay our arrival by a day due to illness and the front desk led us to believe we could extend for an extra night but in the end said they were full even though booking.com showed vacancies. Wifi was hardly on the air at all and the internet speed was terribly slow.

It was in a convenient location close to tube stations and for the price it was reasonable The staff could have been a little more helpful and if you order breakfast in the room be prepared for it to arrive in takeaway bags, cups and plastic cutlery.

The location was the best thing about the hotel. Size of the room was very tight and small. They also had thin walls, you can hear people sleeping.

The price was good for the location, was in easy reach of the city centre. The staff weren't that friendly, they took forever to check us in and didnt talk to us at all. We were rudely awoken at 8.30 by the cleaner who walked straight in, luckily we'd put the bolt over though.

Only the location, the receptionists were polite and helpful enough. Room was small, the air drying wasn't working well and it took 1 hour to dry my hair, and I was told by the reception desk that they could only send people to fix it the next day, which wasn't the receptionists' fault cos probably it was due to the facility insufficiency (which is quite a disappointment as a 4-star hotel).

Free breakfast, comfortable bed, a safe for valuables in room, free wifi, courteous staff, fairly close to tube stations, close to Hyde Park, clean and fresh towels daily. We would recommend this hotel if it were less expensive or if the noise factor could be fixed, but cannot recommend it in the present state it is in. Also for those who have complained about having to pay extra for breakfast - they give you a very nice continental breakfast with hot boiled eggs, breads, cheeses, cereals, etc., but if you want a "hot" breakfast with omelets, etc. they charge an extra 2.50 per person which is very reasonable. We enjoyed the continental breakfast very much. Small space around bed, no table for eating or playing games, etc., noise factor inside and out due to lack of good windows and insulation between walls, window would not close properly, no air conditioning - but we were fortunate and stayed during a cooler time period, very small bath, although the space was very well used and the shower pressure was good with plenty of hot water. We chose this hotel because it was during a very high season and a lot of hotels were sold out. This hotel was less expensive than the places we wanted to stay, but we were still disappointed that we were paying well over 200 pounds per night for a room that was so small and had so much noise problem.

Central position near underground with comfortable rooms. Price is competitive. Toilet did not work properly and although they tried to fix it we did in the end. Rack price at reception is £1000 for a single room. This is very misleading as this is not a hotel of that calibre and this price is quoted on your booking site.

Location. It was near an underground station It had an arwful smell of foul sewer in the bathroom. It made me sick. Tried to have the room changed but the gent at the front desk refused. He said, "you get what you paid for" and for that reason iwill never stay at this hotel again.

I liked the location & price. Room very stuffy & hot. Lots of noise from inside hotel due to thin walls between rooms & street noise. Rooms very small. Fold out beds saggy & uncomfortable. Basic breakfast & cramped dining area. Staff OK but don't go out of way to be helpful.

Awful hotel, quality of rooms are very poor for the price asked! Hotel has problems from lice and bedbugs, contacted Westminster council about the problem, and they responded that they have been informed already and told the hotel to sort the problem, however the hotel is still putting people in the affected rooms! Therefore had to find a new hotel at 1.30am, as the duke of Leinster hotel could not offer a new room. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!

The girl at reception was lovely and the bathrooms were very clean and the shower and breakfast were really nice. Hi there! My husbnd and I are regular London vistors,we go atleast twice a month and my hubby used to live there,we r usually very street wise and quite good at booking a bargain, but this time we were deffo conned! We booked through booking.com which usually is reliable, based on the reviews and pictures we picked this hotel.anyway we walked into the reception which seemed bright and clean and then we were shown to our room which was a bit small but clean and with a new flat screen,i thought fair enough, this is quite nice and clean for the price,! Great! And the breakfast room seemed nice, anyway all was well, till about 2 am,i got up to use the bathroom, and I felt really itchy on my scalp, and arms so I checked my pillow with my phone torch and didnt see anything, and I didnt want to wake up my hubby so went back to bed, then I woke up again at about 4 ish and low and behold!! Disgusting juiced up bed bugs on the bed! Every where I woke up my hubby and we started shaking the pillows where they awere falling out! My husband has a rash on his forehead, there three different types of blood suckers and we took pictures of some which I will post so we went to the reception, and the same story as I have now read, this is why I have posted this,i though our incident was a one off with the bed bugs and lack of manager but it was not apparantly this has been going on since 2010!!!I am disgusted. We got to the reception and same old story that they have been giving since 2010 aparantly, theres no manager,we cant call him, its a weekend, bla bla bla, anyway the girl on reception was very nice to be honest and did actually want to help so can not complain about her,she was lovely, she did what she could do under the circumstances, she gave us a new room on a higher floor and it was upgraded which was nice of her. We checked the bed when we got up there and we didnt see anything after a thorough check, but again we were hit!
