Close to Blenheim Palace and Woodstock Friendly staff Room was a reasonable size Very close to the main road which was noisy at night. Bathroom was not clean especially the floor. Kettle had not been cleaned for some time. General lack of care in the cleaning of the room, dust and bits and pieces left over from previous occupants.

The service and friendliness of staff. Ideal location for Oxford and Blenhiem Palace. Woodstock, nearby, is the archetypical English village. Decor and signage a bit jaded.

Very pleasant and efficient staff. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Spacious room and copious amounts of hot water. Very good location for visiting local attractions including Oxford. Uncomfortable mattress.

Wonderful hotel it was great being able to have a drink and a lovely meal without having to drive to find this. The room was perfect, clean furnished well by the owners who had thought about everything you would need for a stay. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful home cooked with a good variety on offer, The weather! could not fault the hotel.

Evening meal and breakfast were good. Bar and restaurant service was attentive and good. Parking and location are good. Room is basic with average comfort. OK for a bed for one night. I bit over priced for pub/motel standard accommodation.

A very welcoming hotel a little way out of Woodstock. Our room was spacious and comfortable and peaceful. Excellent bathroom facilities. large bath , loads of hot water, soft towels. We ate in the restaurant in the evening with good food and wine and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good quality and plenty of choices. We highly recommend the Duke!! Nothing to complain about!!!

Lovely location - in the country but close to Oxford and Woodstock. Friendly and helpful staff, great food, great beer. Its a generous place - loads of hot water, great big bottles of shower gel, shampoo etc and it's Duck Island so it's real luxury stuff. We love the Duke of Marlborough and would always stay there if we were in the area

Very friendly staff. Owner/Landlord is friendly and helpful with a wonderfully dry sense of humour. Excellent beers and wine selection and a good menu. Rooms were a little noisy as in could hear guests in other rooms but not road or other environmental noises.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights while visiting relations. We were made very welcome by the staff who always made time to have a chat by the fire, if you wished. The accommodation was good, and the atmosphere in the pub, warm and welcoming. The food was excellent as was the service. We will be visiting the area again soon and will have no hesitation in repeating the experience. Thank you for a very pleasant stay, even though the weather was freezing!
