Food was below standard
Location, size of room, facilities, look of hotel
Evening meal, bland and not good value for money eat out if you can !
Food, afternoon tea.
We are both disabled with Multiple Sclerosis. The 'disabled' room we were given had no mattress protector on the bed and we couldn't use the shower as it was above the bath which we couldn't get in.
Quiet Classic Hotel Food very good
Location, peace and quiet.
The hotel said it accepted dogs. The staff were so helpful with every request we made with regard to our dog, and all seemed to be dog lovers. They made such a fuss of Millie.
The grounds, lovely setting. Bathroom was clean and modern, helpful staff.
Room was a tad shabby, paint was peeling of the wall, dirty marks on the wall and the bed was very uncomfortable. taxi was expensive to get to closest village/restaurant £18.00 one way for 3 miles! you should make an arrangement with a taxi service to get cheaper rates for hotel guests
Good location and facilities. Staff was friendly and had good hospitality.
We had a dinner at the resutaurant. Pasta menus were not tasty, so I will not recommend.
The staff were unbelievably helpful and considerate. The grounds are beyond description. Breakfast was varied and bountiful, as well as delicious.
A couple of weddings were going on while we were there, and we had to walk through the assembled guests to get from one part of the hotel to the other. The staff assured us that this was fine, but some of the guests looked at us like interlopers.
Location and quietness
Better signage and directions
Great staff and service Rooms lovely with nice modern twists
Freindly staff and very good breakfast
No air conditioning in the bedrooms, bedrooms in need of repair and redecorating. Also offers made to only some members for discounted nights and meals when other members of the family had booked some 7 months previously and paid normal rates.
loved this hotel . staff very good , the grounds and trees. lake. black swans , sheep , church bells , cricket .
the bed rooms hot duvet felt like winter weight.
The bed! My first comfortable night for a long time, I would like to know how to have one for myself. The surroundings were spectacular, the yoghurt at breakfast the best I've had
It's amazing. Like a castle and my child enjoyed very mutch. And restaurant is perfect.
Everything. Especially the outside environment and the interior ambience. The dining room staff were very welcoming, efficient and friendly. Our one night stay was a delightful experience. We will definitely return.
very nice hotel in lovely area of the country for seeing the cotswold villages. Excellent food and staff, comfortable atmosphere you are made to feel welcome.
bedroom cold & very draughty
Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel in beautiful setting and very clean. Food excellent, well presented and hot.
Hotel has a complicated layout, so it took a while to find our room. We had a heavy bag and was not told that room was on the 2nd floor and along many corridors and through lots of doors. Perhaps we should have been shown to our room or given directions. This was not a major concern.
Dinner & bar meals very expensive for the quality.
An excellent location for a relaxing countryside break. The evening bar snack we had on our arrival, which was rather late, was no problem for them and was more like a full meal and was wonderful.
This was a last minute booking and was all that I could get. It would not have been my first choice however, I was very impressed with the stunning location of this lovely building. Very comfortable room coupled with great breakfast and friendly efficient staff. I will definitely use this hotel again if and when I am in that area.
Nothing really. to comment would be being very picky.
The hotel was a venue for 5 old school friends to meet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & we had a very happy time. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful & it was a bonus to walk round the lake & see the black swans with their cygnets.
Excellent location for a short break
The bed was too soft for our liking
Fantastic place to meet friends and chill. Big comfy sofas in communal lounges to enjoy coffee/ wine etc. Lovely pleasant surroundings- as soon as you enter the main drive you find yourself in days gone by- so tranquil. Would recommend dinner in the restaurant- superb (at a very good price too!).
