Hotel interior decor, room decor, room facilities. Staff excellent and breakfast superb. The private room set aside for the birthday lunch well done as was service
Minor in that the room heating over hot through night and only I piece of soap provided.
Nice hotel, good food and Staff
WiFi is said to be available all over the hotel, but found very poor coverage in room and restaurant plus the restaurant is located next to the main road in the town, people look in as they walk past, not what I want when I’m eating.
The hotel was immaculate and the staff were grade A - really friendly, chatty without being nosy and helpful whenever they could be. The food was really nice and the bed was a really nice sleep.
The walls are either paper thin or the woman next door was deaf. You could hear everything she said, from how comfy the bed was to how shocking it would be if Stevie got to the next round of X-Factor. Wi-Fi also worked very intermittently.
Staff, Decor, Food.
Good location for visits to Dumfries House and Maritime Museum (Irvine) [Not much else open in October if you have already done 'Burns']. Hotel an oasis in a town that has suffered from the decline in nearby mining industry. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The hotel amply supplied our needs - not much to say.
Staff were excellent and customer service was exceptional. Quality of food and drinks were superb
Wifi was very poor throughout the hotel
We were given an upgrade to a deluxe room which was very nice. Dinner in the hotel was lovely and I can't compliment the staff highly enough, helpful, friendly and attentive.
Not very well signposted until you had passed the hotel The doors need oiling, all of them seemed to creak!
We will stay here again.
Nothing to keep kids occupied in the hotel or surrounding area in the evening.
Staff, room spacious and nice decor. Lovely breakfast, good too for kids
Very relaxing & peaceful
Only wifi in lounge, would have liked to use in our room, that was our only downside of visit but not end of world
Bed and pillows were perfect. Windows open. Bathroom spotless and great shower. Lovely toiletries and full size bath to wallow in. Very helpful receptionist. Big comfortable room providing great sleep and excellent breakfast.
Difficult to find in the dark.
The imposing entrance hall and comfortable beds. The meal in the restaurant was excellent.
No indication where reception was on the outside of the building. The only name was on another side of the hotel.
Huge bed, decor, space, parking, restaurant, extremely helpfull staff.
no wi fi in room. no heated towell rack in bathroom.
Staff excellent. Top rate throughout, lovely rooms, superb meals, huge beds.Easy parking. We will be back.
Our room was very nice and very comfortable. The food was also delicious! Highly recommend!
great room, provided everything we needed - cot etc nice service.
noisy when there is a wedding on. and the rooms were so hot 28 degrees (we had a baby thermometer) even with the window open.
The staff were great and very helpful, rooms were clean to a high standard. Only wish that we could have stayed another night or two
Great facilities lovely bedroom big beds good food best bathrooms
Poor wi-fi unfriendly receptionist No cocoa pops
We'll trained and pleasant staff
Overhearing next room occupants
we went as a base for commonwealth games and it was a little way out of glasgow but there was an adequate rail and bus service at a reasonable price. The hotel had not hiked up their prices unlike many others in the region. The food is wonderful, the hotel is spotless throughout and the staff very obliging
poor wi fi
Spacious room Full Scottish breakfast Wide variety at dinner
Some noise from the adjacent lift Breakfast pastries were still frozen
Very helpful advice from Reception on where to park in the centre of Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. The hotel had not increased their prices for the Commonwealth Games (many other hotels close to Glasgow had done).
Service was a little slow on evening meals although the staff were very good and quality of food was also good.
A very tastefully upgraded hotel in a central position. Would definitely recomment.
The relaxing atmosphere provided by the staff. They could not do enough to please.
Staff all amazing. Nothing a problem.
