Our room was very nice and very comfortable. The food was also delicious! Highly recommend!
great room, provided everything we needed - cot etc nice service.
noisy when there is a wedding on. and the rooms were so hot 28 degrees (we had a baby thermometer) even with the window open.
The staff were great and very helpful, rooms were clean to a high standard. Only wish that we could have stayed another night or two
We'll trained and pleasant staff

we went as a base for commonwealth games and it was a little way out of glasgow but there was an adequate rail and bus service at a reasonable price. The hotel had not hiked up their prices unlike many others in the region. The food is wonderful, the hotel is spotless throughout and the staff very obliging
poor wi fi
Spacious room Full Scottish breakfast Wide variety at dinner
Some noise from the adjacent lift Breakfast pastries were still frozen
Very helpful advice from Reception on where to park in the centre of Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. The hotel had not increased their prices for the Commonwealth Games (many other hotels close to Glasgow had done).
Service was a little slow on evening meals although the staff were very good and quality of food was also good.
A very tastefully upgraded hotel in a central position. Would definitely recomment.
The relaxing atmosphere provided by the staff. They could not do enough to please.
Staff all amazing. Nothing a problem.
Beautiful hotel and very helpful staff. Prompt room-breakfast as had a very early start. Great evening meal - deals good value for money for quality and preparation.
We liked everything so elegant, spacious, smart and comfortable
Wi fi was only attainable in public lounge
Superb hotel, lovely room, great food, good menu with lots of choices and speedy service. All staff friendly, polite and cheerful.
Location is great for proximity to train line to Glasgow. Town itself though is very low key.
We could not find fault with anything at the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant food was extremely good and well presented. We had a lovely stay, using the hotel as a base to travel to Glasgow to go the events at the Commonwealth Games and as my birthday celebration (Housekeeping left me a message and 2 cakes!) I would recommend the hotel as a base to travel around the local area and to use the rail links to Glasgow.
We can't actually think of anything we didn't like!
Location to Dumfries house and gardens
All the public areas were beautifully presented as was our room. It all felt very much more luxurious than we expected. Breakfast was excellent; eg smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, full Scottish etc. Good yet modestly priced Table d'hote dinner. Good quality toiletries, big towels & excellent shower.
The hotel staff were excellent, great service, very polite, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the bedrooms are comfortable. The food, both breakfast and evening was superb
The overall attention to detail paid by the staff and their friendly but unobtrusive presence ; their ability to make their own decisions for guest comfort and circumstances, in particular the instant choice (by Fiona) to change our scheduled room to one which was accessible by lift. The food. The overall quality of the room fittings and facilities.
I haven't subsequently revisited the booking site which I used but I did not see that the hotel lift only runs to the first floor. I would have specified disabled access as at the end of a days travelling stairs can pose a challenge.
Loved everything! The location, the Town, the staff, the delicious Scottish breakfast and evening meal! Spacious bedrooms and cleanliness!
modern stylish hotel good car parking quality decor friendly helpfull staff good food
room was smaller than we expected and hot very dim lighting in bar and restaurant. service in restaurant was very slow in evening but ok at breakfast
The standard of decor was faultless, the rooms were well equipped, comfortable and excellent value for money. The inclusive breakfast was very good. The staff were helpful
surrounding area is a bit run down
We had a superior double room which was a very good size, comfortable modern decor, and a great bathroom. All staff were friendly, helpful & welcoming. Restaurant food was well priced & of a good standard.
Room was a little too hot, but can't expect a hotel in Scotland to have air conditioning for the rare times it would be needed. :)
It was close to Dumfries House where we had an early appointment. Good standard all round with helpful staff.
The full breakfast was a little dry and the poached eggs over done.
Lovely staff and really clean modern hotel with great features
every thing was fine
