Nice interior; attractive surroundings; friendly and professional staff. Room was cold and no additonal heaters available. Could not get wifi in room. Note: Room has 1 TV, not 2 as stated, and only 23" in size.

I absolutely adored this hotel. I stayed in the Avon room, and was pleasantly surprised when the concierge opened the doors to a spacious room with a four poster bed, chaise lounge, and a stunning view out of bay windows. There are two chairs and a table in front of the windows which allowed me to read and do work on the computer while I enjoyed the breathtaking view. The food was fantastic, and the concierge was very kind & accomodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Although less than 5 miles from our house, from the moment we walked through the door we were in another world. There was a natural luxury about the place in an intimate way that seemed to be achieved without effort. Staff were very helpful but not intrusive, food was a wonderful experience and the room was perfect. If you have to become 50 I can think of no better place to do it!!

Attentive and welcoming staff. Beautiful country house and grounds. Large, comfortable room. Pleasant ambiance. Superb food. We had a ground floor room and one of the window locks was broken. Not a major problem since we didn't leave anything valuable in the room. Sink in the bathroom was cracked and the shower had a tendency to leave a puddle of water on the floor if you weren't careful. Again not major problems - the sink was a cosmetic issue and we weren't the ones cleaning the bathroom each day. Radiator in the bedroom didn't work. We still had working radiators in the bathroom and living room so this didn't bother us too much.

We can honestly say that everything was better than expected.. The location is secluded not isolated, the accommodation is above expected and advertised, and the food was great, and most importantly the staff were efficient, courteous. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay… anywhere..

I stayed in room 12 ghlas! There was a very strange room just near the entrance to my room! It was unmarked and was not sure where it went! I looked in and it looked like a squatter had been living there! The room was nice but I was kept up untill 2pm with the sound of some sort of pipes banging! Strange and unacceptable in a hotel of this class! Room not as advertised on the website! Food was very very poor! Breakfast was extremely salty! Burger at night was drenched in sloppy onions and cheese- which I asked the staff to exclude from my order! Over

Pleasant hotel and nice size rooms. Lovely gardens and stately atmosphere. Needs updating. Rooms could do with a lick of fresh paint and bathrooms modernising. Food was good but pretentious decoration and small portions even at breakfast. Not enough staff while I was there in September a d had to wait for my dinner table for an hour even though I had booked ahead. Generally good wuth pleasabt though stressed staff.

It´s a very nice hotel, extremely beautiful surroudings. The staff is very nice and helpful and the inside of the hotel is lovely. We loved the hotel and its view. If you have attached or communicating rooms and have the bad luck that the room next to you is ocupied by someone noisy, you won´t sleep! You can here everything through the walls and, although the staff asked our neighbours to stop, they weren`t very efficient and we had to solve the situation ourselves!!!

The room was very nice, and was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel restaturant was excellent. I would highly recommend it and I would go back there any time. The only slight diffculty we had was with the sign directing to the hotel from the road as it is not easy to spot. The loch ness part of the name is in large print, but the 'country house hotel' is in very small print, which made it difficult to read when travelling at any speed in a car. Changing the signage to make the entire name larger would make it easier to spot.
