This hotel is beside the River Tay, a minute from Perth Museum and Horsecross Concert Hall. Rooms are en suite and many have views of the river and the hotel's award-winning gardens.

This elegant, 4-star Victorian guest house is situated just outside the picturesque old city of Perth, Scotland.
Score from 99 reviews Superb
Tastefully decorated room, good sized single room, friendly jots with good local knowledge
Inexpensive B&B as we were just passing through on way to Edinburgh.
Parking limited, and room a little cramped with sink cabinet next to bed. Wifi signal not great in room.
Good hearty breakfast. Comfortable room, although creaky floorboards.
Problems getting into guest house. Although booking in time 4-7pm no one about until nearly 4:30. Not an isolated incident as a party arriving next day had same problem. Radiators needed bleeding, hot at bottom, cold at the top.
Good location, easily reaching city centre by walk. Room was great and facilities where good as well.
Wifi signal was not that good from inside room. I did ask them about it and they did solve the problem by shifting one of the home plugs they use from the corridor to my room which has solved my problem. However this should have been at the expense of others.
- very good bed - very good breakfast - very friendly staff - quiet room - easy to walk to city centre
- not easy to find (the satnav couldn't find Pitcullen Crescent: the road changes name halfway) - not very spacious room, so we probably wouldn't want to stay there longer than 1-2 nights
Beautiful rooms. Lovely landlady. Free wifi. Free parking. Good breakfast. Everything was perfect.
Shower good breakfast very good free wifi
very small double room difficult toget round no storage for suitcase stayed for 4nights no towels changed during our stay Arranged for a packed lunch on the day of departure instead of breakfast because of early start and long train journey we asked for our packed lunch which they had forgot to do
We loved every minute of our stay at Dunallan guest House, Francis and Jeanette were very friendly and made sure that we were always ok and if there was anything else they could do for us. We have nothing to complain about and certainly would recommend you visiti with them if you are in the Perth area.
I love good tea, so it was really nice to discover that the drink-making facilities in my room included a teapot.
Everything was extremely clean and nice. The staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Our bed was comfy and spacious, and the bathroom/shower was spa-like. We made the booking a day before the stay and it was a nice last-minute value.
Not a single complaint!
friendliness and politeness of staff cleanliness
location on a busy road tiny en suite bathroom no cable TV very cramped parking space expensive
My sister and I had a lovely stay. Frances and Jeanette could not have been nicer and made us feel very welcome. Breakfasts were delicious too. Beds were like marshmallows, so comfy. Will definately be back.
Nothing not to like
The warmest of welcomes and standard of accomodation and food was well above average and could easily top four/five star hotels for service and friendliness.
Short walk to centre with many bars n restaurants. Good base for exploring other areas of Scotland. Good walking in and around this area. Owners very helpful with information about where to drink eat and walk. Off road parking.
Lovely friendly host. Good breakfast and quiet comfy room. Location is about 15 minutes from town centre across the lovely River Tay.
The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Especially when I left my iPod in the room. They immediately emailed back and sent it that same day.
Clean comfortable and made very welcome, will defiantly be staying again.
What's not to like! the staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the bed was very comfortable.
Our three night stay in the ground family room at Dunallen was perfectly comfortable and quite OK. Obviously designated for guests with a disability. LOCATION - a good 15 mins.but pleasant walk into the centre of Perth. Being on the other side of the city centre it is an excellent excuse to walk over the bridge crossing the River Tay at any time of day, but especially on a summer evening to enjoy the evening sunshine. However, the best time to catch the beauty and quietness of Perth is early morning before the city is fully awake.
CAR PARKING - the limited space is all a bit tight. You should make sure that you are not boxed in - especially if another guest has an early getaway on foot and leaves their car behind, so beware ! BREAKFAST - Well, on a scale of 0 -10, it was about 6 - adequate, but nothing to shout home about,. Although the bacon was most excellent, I advise steering clear of the rather peculiar 'sausages' that are on offer. The breakfast service was all a bit too casual - more attention to detail would have been appreciated. (Much to my disappointment, Arbroath Smokies were nowhere to be seen on the menu, but maybe that is too much to ask at the Dunallen).
Enjoyed my stay here! The staff are very welcoming and very willing to advise on where to go in Perth. An excellent breakfast. The room was comfortable and I felt quite at home during my stay. Would stay again.
The wet room, a handle to hold onto while in the wet room would be a good idea.
Step into dinning room but this managable.
Friendly welcome. Spacious room and good breakfast choice. Handy location for pleasant walk into town centre.
Bedroom looked onto very busy road. Missed having whb in bathroom.
The staff Janette in particular were very helpful and nothing was any bother. The breakfasts were made to order and very good.
A small point really, but The only non-positive comment I could make is that the showers could be a little more consistent in temperature and power.
Absolutely spotless room and every convenience you would need. Only thing was the wash hand basin was not in the bathroom and it was a bit of a tight space to get into the wash hand basin but maybe wouldnt be so tight if the room was made up as a double and not as a twin as we needed? Other than that the owner let us in early to get ready for going to Rewind which was a great bonus. She also phoned us a taxi which was helpful and also asked us when we wanted our breakfast for.
Unfortunately we did ask for a vegetarian breakfast when we booked and thought maybe a vegetarian sausage could even be offered instead of just a fried egg or a potato scone.
The nice big room with a comfy seating area by the window and a good en-suite. The breakfast was very good.
The traffic noise when we had the window open which we had to do as it was particularly warm during our stay. The sign was very difficult to see when driving. We went past several times without seeing it!
