Dinner and breakfast were excellent Hotel décor lush and hotel staff very friendly Free warm cookies on arrival!
Room was basic. Comfortable. Restaurant was superb. Meal was stunning. Breakfast fantastic. Pool great and staff so helpful. We loved out time at doubletree
Location and breakfast.
Rather faded look and difficult check-in.
Nick Nairns restaurant and breakfast was excellant
Check in at 4 !!! Told no tables in restaurant till 9 o'clock and told we could eat in the bar, There was a wedding on and it was very busy When we phoned direct to restaurant from room got a table right away at 6.45 Don't know if the staff didn't want us in with two small children?
Restaurant, friendly staff, good night sleep as it is so peaceful. Good quiet location
Wifi should be free.
The upkeep of the hotel has not been to a high standard. The evening meal was a disappointment and not of the standard we had experienced in other Hilton hotels. While the soup served was enjoyable the rest of the meal was not - cold mash and braised beef in one meal and half cooked chips in the other.
Bathroom was dirty on arrival and room appeared not to have been dusted. Informed reception and the bathroom was then cleaned. Either no space in restaurant or limited availability at awkward times available during our stay. Certainly wouldn't return.
Location and staff.
Having to eat in the corridor of the hotel because there were no seats in the restaurant or cocktail bar. They should have opened up another room for diners to use.
The food was fantastic and if you get a 'deal' it's value for miney
Nothing I enjoyed my full stay
Service good cocktails food great setting excellent
Terrible Food and felt like a travelodge, not a 4 star hilton
The quality of the food and bed were good.
Very restricted in times for dining-we could not eat until 9.30pm on our arrival day.Totally unacceptable.
Too many stairs up and down so carrying bags was difficult
Location. Friendly staff
Faulty TV in room. Fault reported twice.
We had a deluxe room which was very comfortable with plenty room for an extra bed for our daughter. The view from our room looked out over the grounds and the surrounding countryside. We had a lovely afternoon in the spa and the food in Kailsyard Restaurant was delicious making it a very special stay.
Our only small complaint was the noise from wedding guests leaving from the front of the hotel in the small hours.
Health club, food, friendly staff.
Wifi in room was poor, time for dinner was slightly later than I would've liked.
Impressive building on top of the hill! very good location close to many attractions like The Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Safari Park, Stirling... Good food.
Pool and sauna was nice but really busy, maybe better during the week. Wifi £15! Free in the lobby but really slow. Overall it was good because there was 40% discount otherwise would be too expensive.
EVERYTHING. MEALS WERE EXCELLENT
excellent bed lovely dining room spacious bedroom
staff disorganised at breakfast - I cleared used dishes onto a neighbouring table limited lounge area apart from the bar where the actual bar was so large it dominated the room
Very comfortable room with free wifi
The staff could not be more helpful . The food was excellent .
The location and setting, and the bar. When the lights fused in my room, I phoned Reception, and a maintenance man came very soon to automate the trip switch, and restore the light.
1)The hotel was very large and busy, and there was a feeling of anonymity about it, which I found a bit scary. 2)Although I had originally made a booking for two rooms,(one for me,and one for my friends), the room I was allocated was not remotely near them! 3)The room next door to me was unlocked, and could not be closed over, which I thought was a security issue, and despite this being reported to Reception by the handyman, the door remained 'on the latch'. 4)Lack of information regarding the operation of the tv. 5) The tea and coffee tray was hidden so well in a drawer, that I was for many hours, and (until advised by my friends)unaware that there was one!
Great hotel and staff one of the best breakfasts I've had. Competitively priced food and beverages. Had a meal in the kailyard which was lovely. Leisure facilities are excellent. We had a fabulous time at the hotel and will definitely be back.
The carpets in halls and stairs were very dirty. The edges of the carpets require a thorough clean are thick with dust all other areas spotless !! Were not advised about leisure facilities on check in.
The outside appearance of the hotel
Room was a double when we'd booked a twin, neither plugs in bathroom worked, there was thick dust in bathroom and bedroom and then they gave us a bill for more than double the booking price (though they did amend this after some discussion)
Beautiful location, stunning views from our room. Excellent food and attentive staff.
