The staff were very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was excellent and the whole atmosphere of the place was superb. The standard of cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms, was second to none. As we got a very attractive rate for our stay we were very, very happy with the whole trip. There was not anything we didn't like

The only thing that let the trip down was how cold it was in the lounge where the singer was on the saturday night. There was a log fire on but because of the size of the room and the particularly cold night the room was freezing. I would love to have sat longer as the singer was superb but was too cold so had to go to the room for a heat, We spoke to a couple of guests the next day who left because the room was so cold. Apart from that it was an extremely good break.

Kaliyard restaurant is fantastic quality at good price. Staff exceptionally friendly and hotel is good quality but not snobbish. Small dogs allowed which is great for us. Free parking and use of leisure facilities make this a great stay in clean, comfortable and up market surroundings, family friendly. On 2nd day of our stay, local power cut occurred and yet staff all very concientious about guest safety and comfort - even managed to serve breakfast! Bed was. Little too soft for personal taste and gym is limited but perfectly acceptable. Neither are reasons not to stay!

The staff were good and the setting was perfect. The Nick Nairn Restaurant food was very poor for the price. Very small steak and tasteless soup. We were there before and it has definitely slipped in standard. We were also unaware on booking that the Spa was shut at 4pm and so we did not get to use it when we arrived. Sadly our next day was ruined by a power cut which made it a very poor experience indeed.

Staff very friendly Decor/Ambience very good We could not book in to 16;00Hrs on a wild and miserable day, then had to waste 1hour 30 minutes having to move room due to tv not working. We were given a smaller room with no bath which had not been cleaned properly(unacceptable amount of dust in room, human hairs in bathroom,no bath towels and not set up for two people) Woken up 06:00hrs with very noisy extractor fan as we had been moved from front of hotel to side of hotel above the kitchen. We decided to have a meal in the bar, which although the fish was lovely it was served with frozen thin chips and a very poor salad with no dressing. Very poor and more expensive compared to Glasgows Crowne Plaza (same meal a few days earlier) Power cut in the morning due to bad weather and left only having cereal, orange juice and look warm tea and coffee. There was never enough food to cater for the amount of people having continental breakfast. Surely it would have been easier to change tv in the rather than be down graded which we certainly felt it was done to us. We own an established bed and breakfast in Inverness and know we always have to wow any guest who has made a complaint.

The Hotel is stunning and the staff were very nice however our room was appalling! It was so small, it was definately in older non refurbished part of Hotel, small double bed or large single, shocking really. Not what we booked or paid for, very dissapointed in Booking.com and Hilton! The bedroom we were allocated was appalling! It was so small, it was definately in older non refurbished part of Hotel, small double bed or large single, shocking really. Not what we booked or paid for, very dissapointed in Booking.com and Hilton. The hotel was no where near full either as it was so close to Christmas so very dissapointed we were shunted off to small older room at far end of hotel rather than been given a room as advertised and what we thought we had paid for. Maybe all Booking.com customers are treated this way by Hilton as the deals and room rates are competitive but it defeats the purpose and leaves a bad taste in ones mouth when you are given a room that is not even as good as a room at a Travellodge (no disrepect to tl, they are a very good budget hotel chain) actually Travelodge rooms are more spacious and comfortable than the box we were given! I use Booking.com all the time and have booked more than a fifteen hotels with them this year but I will have to reconsider this.

There was communication failure between Booking.com and Hotel as hotel could not authorize my credit card. Tried on 3 occasions. Reception at Hotel could not reserve dinner at Nick Nairn's restaurant, just along the corridor, as their computer systems were not compatible! Hotel did not control noisy party revellers running around guest floors at 2am. Seems to be a common occurance. Will not go back.

We were celebrating a special birthday with the family, and this was one of very few hotels in the central belt that offered a good lunch menu in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Was surprised to receive a lovely chocolate cookie on arrival which went down nicely with a coffee as we relaxed in our bedroom. It was my husband's 50th and the staff had left a card and chocolates in the room which was a lovely surprise for him. We were impressed by warm welcome we received at reception as the hotel was very busy when we checked in, we liked the decor of the room, room was spacious, had comfortable sleep and a nice buffet style breakfast in the morning. We look forward to a return visit.

Easy to get to, Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was exceptionally good. I had a problem with the hot water supply to the shower but this was fixed within 15 minutes and this was at 2 am on Sunday morning! All in all I was impresed by the service and ambiance of the hotel.

The Kailyard Restaurant serves very good food, albeit in substandard surroundings. The hotel pictures were of the grand front facade, however the guest rooms were in a grotty, utilitarian annexe at the back of the hotel where the room decor is peeling and shabby, the doors don't lock and drawers don't fit. The spa and pool facility were again pictured in the advertising as being luxurious and exclusive, in reality it's another functional annexe, separate from the hotel and open to the public. They had no availability for any treatments over a 48 hour period when I made an enquiry as a hotel guest. With one or two exceptions the staff are incompetent and poorly turned out. Rooms are not made up until late afternoon, so having been out all day and returning to our room at 4.15pm we had to go out again to allow the housekeeper to make the bed etc. The housekeeping manager explained this was standard practice. In each of the bars and lounges used glasses and cups littered the tables (and on occasion the floor!) and were often ignored by waiting staff giving the whole place an air of being run-down and dirty.

Liked the spacious public rooms and the view over the town of Dunblane. Didn't like the choice of colour of the decor - particularly in the dining room and the conservatory. Both rooms were lovely, but very dark and the lighting was too subdued. When you are older you do like to be able to read the menu!

Its set in a very nice place, looks pretty. Staff are very friendly. Not suitable for children - we have a 3month old baby and we were put on the 4th floor- able to use the lift but there was still approx 20 steps to get push chair up and down.

The hotel location and the service of the staff. Not being able to check in until 4pm. We were traveling around Scotland for the week and landed at the hotel by 1pm. The room was ready by 3pm which was a plus but I've never known such a late check in.

Lovely looking, highly appointed hotel. Room fully equipped. Location excellent for the Stirling Auction Mart sales. As lovely as this hotel was......the bed was the most uncomfortable that we have ever slept on....so sad to say.(extraordinarily hard) Seemed like they went to a lot of effort in all areas except the most important one. Your facilities seemed to be lacking as we found it very inconvenient to have to wait until 15 to 10 pm to get a reservation for dinner. Having booked upon entering our room. In waiting for our dinner, we thought we could have an appetizer and drink in the lounges but found them all full abut we did finally find sitting room. It would have been nice to have an alternative for a full restaurant as we were very tired and needed to get on with business the next day. We would love to stay again if these issues were addressed.

Nice and relaxed atmosphere, lovely rooms. Fantastic full breakfast. Only downfall we had was we arrived on the Friday around 5pm and couldn't get a table for tea which we were gutted about as we had plans for the Saturday night with friends so didn't get a chance to try the evening dining. But all in all a pleasant stay and would stay again, and book a table in advance. Thanks, Tracy Sutherland.
