Value for money very good. We were half board and the food was excellent in the Kailyard
Room was cold and heating poor, on day of departure discovered the window did not close properly, room 160 .
Food was good
The cleanliness of the room
Good staff, good facilities,
Shocking food at the bar when the hotel had a big function on. Food was cold and there was very little of it. This was compared to the previous night when it wasn't busy and the food was very good. We never ate at the hotel for the remainder of our stay.
Excellent dining in Kailyard restaurant Swimming pool and spa very good Impressive from the outside Friendly efficient staff
Rest of the hotel seems to have lost its soul No recreational facilities other than swim pool No hotel information in rooms Very stained carpet in bedroom Wine very expensive
food in the restaurant
The hotel was lovley meal was lovley and all staff pleasant
The carpet in our room was really badly stained and we wer put in a connecting room which was noisy
Peaceful location beautiful hotel and excellent cuisine.
Bed very uncomfortable.
food excellent dinner amazing ,breakfast ist class cant complain............
no quick path to walk down the hill
Room very comfortable and food delicious.
On our arrival to the room in the Stirling Wing we noticed that there were socks placed over both smoke alarms which as you will agree is a serious health and safety issue. It was also noted that the toilet had not been cleaned, the seat, lid and wall tiles had urine stains on them, another breach of health and safety. I reported these issues to the reception and was given a drink at the bar. We had previously stayed in the hotel last year and could not fault our stay or the high quality of food on offer. So much so, that we recommended this to friends. This stay however was not of the same standard. My partner became unwell with a stomach upset late on Saturday night, after eating in the restaurant, and this continued through Sunday. We had booked a double room and I am aware that the hotel was fully booked due to Valentines, however it appears that we were given a twin room with the two beds pushed together. One of which was a different height. I am extremely disappointed at the deterioration in service offered at Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro and would now have serious concerns about recommending or using this again.
the hotel was nice and the leisure facilitys were good
Loved the kailyard restaurant, food was amazing.
No Internet connection and £9.99 if you want a days WiFi. Room very small and nothing like the ones shown on the website especially the bathroom. Also I have been charged twice and now have to wait 3-5 days to have £129 returned to my account.
Area, leisure facilities.
Staff, placement of room, poor correspondence between booking.com and the dunblane hydro regarding package.
Free warm cookies at check in. Decor throughout the hotel.
Size of the room. extreme overnight heat within the room. lack of overall space in room
Couldn't fault the staff, the food, the spa facilities or the location.
The rooms and bathrooms are looking a wee bit tired. We found ladies underwear in the wardrobe.
Grandeur of the building
Bed was old, wifi rubbish
Beautiful setting great food
Paper thin walls and room was across from the lift, very noisey neighbours at the other side of an adjoining room door that kept us up until 4:45am.
when we got bookked in were told to go to restaurant to book tsble offered table for dinner at 6.30 or 9 wine glass chiped cutlery dirty . decided to gp to cocktail lounge for a drink standing room only and had ran out of rose wine when offeref alternative they hade no wine glasses left tables were cpvered in empty food dishes as staff wete overwhelmed by the amount of people that had booked in
great view, good location
Leisure facilities are poor
Staff and facilities, food was excellent, hotel is modern yet maintains its historic feel. Facilites are excellent with a great relaxed atmosphere at night.
Bed was very poor for a deluxe room. There was a small room overlooking the lawn, it was empty which is a shame as it could have had a small chair??Remove net curtains as they obscure your view, there are curtains for privacy.
Staff all friendly. Location, nice atmosphere.
The only time I ate in the bar the food was shocking. It was a busy night (full of farmers) and I suspect the kitchens were busy. However, the food was served cold and there wasn't much of it. This is compared to my experience from my stay the previous week when everything was fine. It has put me off eating here and I have found some other great restaurants a short drive away where I'll be eating during future stays.
Staff were friendly and u recieved a warm cookie on arrival. Room was spotless, very relaxing night away
We were givin a room in which there was already a couple in there, quite embarrassing. But they located us to another room which was an upgrade.
The gentleman working at the bar was very friendly and provided a great service!
We arranged a last minute booking at the Dunblane hydro hotel on Friday 6th February 2015. We have been to many other Hilton hotels and have always had positive experiences. However, we were both left really disappointed with our stay on Friday night and are both in agreement that we would be reluctant to book a stay at the Dunblane hydro again! We were staying in room 260. The bed had a huge dip in it and it was extremely uncomfortable to lie in. Whoever is responsible for making the beds should have realised this and should have reported the problem to avoid a paying guest having to endure a sleepless night!!! We booked a reservation for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. The soup was warmish and the waiter forgot to bring our bread with the soup, we had to ask!!! The main meal was only slightly better! We only found out when we arrived at the hotel that the health suite was actually in a different building. We had to return to the hotel with wet hair to be on time for dinner!!! Perhaps you could advertise on your website that the health suite is in a different building? In the morning, I approached customer services to inform them that we were not satisfied with our stay and were left rather disappointed! The gentleman was very apologetic and politely explained that we could have been moved into another room. As we were only there for one night we just stayed in the one room to avoid any upheaval. We really were looking forward to a relaxing stay!! While I was discussing my concerns with the gentleman at customer services, I was very rudely interrupted by a cleaner, hovering the carpets. She had overheard the conversation and decided to involve herself in our conversation. I was completely shocked that this would occur in such a high profile hotel. The cleaner told me I should have used the hair dryers at the health suite. She didn't even say it in a friendly, helpful way.
