Staff were very friendly
Rooms was warm enough but the hotel was very cold
The restaurant was lovely. The food was amazing.
The cleaner was still cleaning the room when we opened the door.
Staff professionalism, ambiance and overall facilities and easy conveyance from glasgow
Soft pillows and jacuzzi was quite cold
Excellent location facilities & food
Minor niggles such as newspaper not arriving that could be resolved easily
Bed - So uncomfortable Room - Small Leisure Facilities - Horrible
Everything but the location and entrance is very grande.
Rooms were very clean and modern although would have liked a king size bed.
Hotel lovley no faults with it
Very dissapionted with manager as we booked half board through booking dotcom there was a mistake on booking the manager said we were room only then changed it to b and b when i informed him we were half board he said that is what half board is b and b only very poor service from this man if he dosent no the difference between the to he shouldnt be a managet
beautiful place breakfast was great decor is up-to-date staff were very helpful
bed was very creaky and uncomfortable drinks from the bar were very expensive (£8/glass of wine or £24/bottle) we were there for a wedding, we booked through booking.com in october, our friends booked late december and received their room for almost half the rate we did.
Surroundings were great and hotel staff very friendly. Food in the restaurant was good, but book in advance as we couldn't get a table until 9.30pm.
Paid for wifi doesn't work in some of the bedrooms - bit annoying to have to pay for wifi, even more annoying that it doesn't work. Spa is a little dated, and not great only getting 20 mins worth of a 30 minute treatment
Having to pay for Wi-Fi while meny smaller hotel's it's free
Efficient check in, friendly staff, clean well furnished room, restaurant was excellent, varied menu and food well presented and of good quality.
The hotel is in one the nicest areas of Scotland, the rooms are well designed, but the common areas are very poorly furnished and the corridors are a dull grey, remind me of a ww2 hospital, and do not represent Scotland
Food was excellent.
Felt that the bar area and restaurant could have been warmer.
Pool and sauna was good ,food in by nick Nairn was brill.
The time it took to get served was terrible 45 min for starter to arrive .
Dining Room & bar
Size of bed
Cocktails in the bar
Room at the front of the hotel had the bright feature lighting shining straight into the room all night long - light leaked around the curtains and was quite disturbing.
I booked a room for one night to suprise my boyfriend as a Christmas present. The hotel itself it's beautiful and the staff were very friendly. There was a significant amount of older people but even as a young couple it didn't bother us. Dinner was amazing. The cocktails were gorgeous (a little pricey though). And breakfast was out of this world. Planning to go again the same time next year. It was so pretty with all the Christmas decorations.
Our room was beautifully furnished but the telly service was complicated and slow. There was chipped paint and ceilings. The bed was noisy.
The location for a getaway, the hotel is beautiful and the food is excellent, excellent!!!
The staff seemed more concerned with their own affairs than with attending to paying customers. The receptionist was too busy talking to the workmen to attend to me as I stood waiting and carrying several bags. The workmen made me move out of the way when passing, swaggering about like he owned the place. Plus I was told I couldn't check in until 4pm and would I like to go for a wander around town until then? Bear in mind it was 11am at the time which seems a reasonable check in time to me. Overall smug and snobby attitude of the staff at reception. Not impressed, won't be back.
Room was nice and the staff were very polite and helpful
Loved the setting, the décor, the dinner and breakfast and the staff were excellent and attentive.
Food was excellent, staff in restaurant friendly and helpful. Room with a view comfortable and warm. Great power shower.
No sitting areas during the second day as all taken over by conferences; the one open second night was chilly. Leisure facilities were very poor for a hotel of this class. Hot tub was part of the pool and was cold, changing rooms were grubby and reminded me of old fashioned swimming baths. Only one thin towel each. WiFi not free.
large comfy room, spa facilities, nice and quiet room
choice of time for evening meals 8.45pm and 9.15 were the earliest available. No entertainment both evenings.
Lovely setting ,close to Dunblane.Food excellent, service wonderful and rooms very comfortable
Excellent location for overnight stop on the way to the Highlands; on-site parking, decent restaurant for dinner.
Hotel is huge, and seemed very much geared for conferences, etc, so felt rather anonymous, and required long walk from reception to room
