A good mix of independent and good quality eg M&S stores.
A good mix of independent and good quality eg M&S stores. The Coop was in a beautiful building. Many good restaurants and cafes. Good buses to the airport and around the island. Good place to catch ferries to other islands eg Sark, Herm and Jersey. Lovely architecture. Guernsey museum.

Nothing was too much trouble polite courteous staff.
Nothing was too much trouble polite courteous staff. Perfect in every way so much so I extended my stay over New Year. Unfortunately didn’t have a mobility room, wet room, but agreed for me to use the pool disabled facilities for which I was most grateful.
In fact the staff were so welcoming I felt like royalty.
The breakfast buffet was 1st class with so many options. I did have the full English breakfast one day only as the food wasn’t as hot as it should have been so ordered of the specials menu.

Public transportation was the best way to get to see most of the island. The restaurants were reasonably priced; look for Tenna Feast deals. The nightlife was great, with some nice late-night venues. It is rich in history and has some lovely architecture to see. If you like sea swimming, then the pools in the sea are fantastic.

A very very pretty place.
A very very pretty place. Lots going on, you could take a boat to Sark or Herm or even over to France. There were plenty of restaurants and bars and lots of shopping too. There is a castle there that you could walk to and a museum (you need to book for that) and even a historic library with activities for adults and kids to do. That was a hidden gem (was free) cos we had not booked the museum! and a bus terminus that could take you everywhere. The bus tickets were £1.50 flat fare so you could go really far if you wanted. We hopped on the bus to go to a few places. The bus timetables are very easy to read. It was very pedestrian friendly (although surrounded by hills!!).

St Peter Port was a small city and not as interesting as I expected. I did venture out an about. The weather certainly didn't help my visit. The day trips I took to Sark and Herm were FANTASTIC. I loved Sark.
The buses ran on time, but spent time waiting as they were not frequent.
Food near town was pricy, but there was a good restaurant at hotel near guest house, The Piette Hotel.
I was disappointed that Victor Hugo's house was closed.
Be careful where you eat - and plan as many places don't serve from 2 PM to 6 PM.
The staff were extremely kind to us after a long day travelling, even though we kept them waiting up quite late. Throughout our stay, they kept the balance of enquiring if we needed anything without it feeling intrusive.
The variety of cakes was impressive and breakfast was delicious. The hotel is really clean and well maintained, with amazing views of the other islands and immediate access to the pretty cliff walks.
St Martins is an easy 20 min walk, or St Peter Port about 50mins if you don't want to wait for a bus.
There was a bus stop very close to the hotel. We could, therefore, easily hop onto a bus into to St Peter Port. There was loads of cupboard space in the room, with an iron and ironing board - very convenient. The hotel had a limited food menu and wine menu, but it was sufficient for the week that we spent at the hotel. Breakfast was always a treat with a great selection of food and juices to choose from.
The hotel is right in the heart of St Peter Port and an excellent location. The hotel parking was very handy but be aware that to get there it's a rabbit warren of streets to find it and tight to get in and out of the car park but once you get the hang of it, it's all straightforward. The welcome was very warm from the staff and the room was comfortable and very clean.
The hotel is lovely and is everything you could want. Location, for me, was excellent and my room was perfect for what I needed. The staff are very polite and friendly, there is really nothing particularly to dislike although the cooked breakfast could have been better. I will definitely be staying here again.
The view from the room was superb, on the top of the hill overlooking the sea and the Cornet castle
The room was immaculate and the bed very comfortable
The breakfast is an experience - not the usual continental hotel breakfast, it is much more elevated and it has an extended hot menu to choose from
The staff were so friendly and the room was spotless, Nothing was to much for the staff to help you, Also my Full English breakfast in the morning was fantastic..The Hotel was a perfect location for the town centre St Peter Port
A 10 mins walk ..Plus it was only a 15 mins cab ride from the airport.
Breakfast & location good. Hotel had bus stops just outside & was within a short bus ride of the airport & St Peter Port. Management & breakfast staff very friendly, pleasant & helpful.
Hotel is in a great location, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable, fresh milk was a bonus! Great night's sleep and a good selection at breakfast.
Helpful staff. Lovely garden at the back of the hotel. Beds clean and comfortable. In a quiet part of town and handy for walking both to Fermain bay and to the port
Loved the breakfast delivered in a basket. I hope they continue to offer this post Covid. This guest house is very conveniently located to St. Peter Port
