The staff and service were excellent. The hotel was lovely, the room was perfect and the welcome (and open fires) warm
THE STAFF. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good
No hook to hang clothes in the bathroom and no where to put toiletries down other than on the loo lid or the floor
We liked the tranquility, peace , lovely surroundings, gorgeousness bedrooms, clean, owner was lovely very helpful, an easy to talk with,Breakfast was lovely too could of stayed much longer. Will visit again.
I wanted to take my 92year old Mother somewhere special for a couple of days and chose Dunedin Country House Hotel because my brother lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. It made it more special for Mum because of the link. I couldn't have chosen anywhere better, everything was just perfect. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality, it was all very much appreciated. Will definitely stay again.
The guest house settings are absolutely fabulous, ideal wedding venue. The beds were so comfortable - best nights sleep for months. Breakfast was good
No towels provided in the room, and only 1 bedside light.
The hotel was coming to the end of a refurbishment but was still an excellent place to stay
When I booked the hotel, Booking.com placed it 6.miles from where I was working, in GRIMSBY! it is by boat but 47 miles by road so beware.
the general atmosphere was very good and the staff helpful and attentive. The room was clean and well equipped. Reasonable value for money
small TV, rather cramped space in our double room, it was functional but not spacious
the elegance and tasteful decor of the premises ,which are set in a large and beautiful garden. The very friendly proprietor and staff and fabulous breakfast.there was even a tawny owl in the garden one night, which was a bonus as I was in the area to go birdwatching! I will definitely stay there whenever I am in the area and have already booked again for next month.
unfortunately the person in the room above was very noisy and inconsiderate waking me at 6am every morning and constantly going in and out to smoke until late each evening.this was excessive and constant noise and was very much out of ordinary-it was not in any way the fault of the hotel and when i mentioned it the proprietor was very apologetic and offered me a free drink(I didn't mention it until my last/3rd night.)But please see my comments in the what did I like section.
We liked the room style. It was very welcoming and homely. We liked the quiet location.
Beautiful hotel, lovingly restored. Nice owner, nice staff.
The single sausage at breakfast was very poor quality. I'd expect a bit more in the way of facilities for the price.
Ensuite a little small for an older couple.
I had a massive room with 2 armchairs and a period feel to it. Patrington is an ideal base for exploring the Humber estuary.
Beautifully decorated, we'll kept gardens, very welcoming. Well stocked bar and very nice breakfast.
great welcome and very clean and comfortable room.Delicious breakfast .We stayed as we were visiting relatives in the area and as they live in Patrington this B and B was very handy but what a nice surprise.
Room was very nice
Room needed small dressing table and the noise in the night kept me awake like a droning sound all night
not show anything except room n breakfast room was on suit but noisy in middle of nite cud not get back to sleep after partner used it bed like rock
Door wouldn't lock- reported 3 times, 3 times repaired.
Having to ask 3 times for lock to be fixed.
A beautiful setting with manicured gardens, a very sympathetically restored house and attractive rooms with nice extra little touches such as a caffetiere as well a good range of teas and full range of toiletries. excellent cooked breakfast. The hosts were very helpful and happy to share local knowledge. ample free parking on site. we used Dunedin as a base to explore the East coast and suited us well as it is easy to access all routes
Noise from doors closing( an unfortunate by-product of heavy fire door requirements). Although there was a bar it was not in use and the local pub was an o.k option. our bed was on the soft side.
Attention to detail
everything was great recommend this hotel to anyone will definately go again
Pleasant friendly reception on arrival.helpfull and efficient .Spotlessly clean.Very nice touches with the decor. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We stayed in the hay loft and my husband found the shower cubicle a little small.this was no great problem.
Beautiful surroundings Stunning decor Excellent welcome Delicious breakfast Great advice on local place to eat
Nothing to dislike
Very clean, breakfast lovely, nice quite location
maybe would like a slightly bigger TV
Very friendly staff Good range of teas/coffees etc in room
Great welcome could not wish for better.
