It was a beautiful castle with beautiful gardens, which our 3 small children and golden retriever loved. They were very good about accommodating the dog and the rooms were beautiful - we slept in one of the towers with a little living room and 290degree view of the area. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. It was a good location for sightseeing everything in Northern Ireland.

I've stayed in many castle hotels before, and this one definitely charged high-end castle prices (much more than other around the world). I think we paid 275€ a night. At this price, I expect the toilet not to make leaky noises all night, the bathroom to have clear signs of disinfection having taken place, my towels changed (and picked up off the floor) every day, and a restaurant that offers more than your typical fried pub food.

The staff were lovely and it is a very quirky place to stay

This is not a luxury hotel but the pleasure is that it is not the same as every other hotel you will have stayed in. We had no wifi access at all.

Staff, rooms and meals were absolutely fantastic.

Unfortunately there was no hot water or heating on the night, I was there but the hotel discounted its rates by 50% to offset this.

    Staff friendly & food good

No hot water when we arrived on the Friday, after about 1 1/2 hrs finally got some. No hot water on the Saturday. Apology made but no discount offered nor anything complimentary for the inconvenience.

It was totally fun staying in a castle. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the rooms extremely comfortable. The grounds are also beautiful.

Pleasant rural setting though unimpressive entrance.

Standards didn't meet expectations. We paid £54 more than other guests for our one night stay though we booked in February. Breakfast took 25 mins between order being placed and arrival at table.
