I am afraid I did not like very much about our stay. A creditable effort had been made with the refurbishment of the small dining room, it was simply done but pleasant Where to start is the question? I felt that the people running the hotel, nice as they were, did not have the requisite experience to make this a viable concern. The bedrooms are in need of complete refurbishment as is the guest sitting room which frankly left me speechless. |

The friendliness of the owners; the cleanliness of the hotel; the directions on the website; the quality of the food particularly the willingness of the owners to concoct a superb meal on a Monday night when the fish man had not been; the location in the village. We had been travelling a lot in the previous days and wished we could have stayed longer to explore the area and enjoy more fish meals We were informed that the red wine list was defunct as they were changing suppliers but the owners offered two half bottles in place of a full bottle. Hopefully there is now a full range of red wines. |

very friendly, lovely people and, although quite basic as a hotel, they didn't pretend to be better than they were. I like that sort of honesty. What they set out to do, they achieved which is better than setting sights high and then failing! if you are expecting modernity (flat screen TV, beautiful decor, great food) this is not for you. |

The owners were outstanding hosts. They went out of their way to help out with every aspect of our comfort and queries. Being very knowledgeable about the local area they were keen to point us at places of interest and educated us in real highland cuisine. The hotel has basic facilities and the hosts were quick to point this out. However, although you shouldn't expect five star luxury, there was nothing lacking. Indeed what it lacked in luxury was made up for 1000 fold in hospitality. |

The owners made you feel very welcome, a charming place to stay. It is not the same luxury as large hotels but such wonderful food, owners and scenery more than make up for that. A very refreshing change to staying in some souless city hotels. |

Really friendly staff who would do anything for you, friendly locals, clean, warm rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast in bed as an option, the food was absolutely fantastic, beautifully cooked, locally sourced steak, colourful salads, nice restaurant area, they also had a traditional scottish menu, and local ales/lagers. The view from our room (2) was exquisite. Trying hard to fault it! |

The place is a real bargain. The owners and staff were just lovely- really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and pretty with a great view of the river. The food in the restaurant downstairs was absolutely delicious, a real bonus. We had a lovely stay and couldn't fault a single thing really! will be back if we're ever that far north again. |

De voorgevel is het minste van het bedrijf. De mensen zijn heel gastvrij en gezellig. Het eten is heel goed. De kamer is klein maar goed bruikbaar. |
