Everything was 10/10
We liked the setting of the hotel, and very friendly staff. The outlook from the window of room 2 was exceptional(hope were as lucky next time) Overall very good value for money.
Everything was fantastic.
We wanted a country retreat and that is exactly what we go, lovely location and the building was beautiful, staff friendly and the bar with its log burner was very relaxing.
friendly and a bit special
food ok but not great
coming away suhday
When we arrived we received a very warm welcome and after checking in we were shown to our room instead of being handed a key and told where it was, what a lovely personal touch. The staff were attentive, friendly and fun. Our room was lovely, with a view of the countryside. We had a bar meal and despite being too early it was no trouble and we had a lovely meal served. Breakfast was delicious too. Very enjoyable stay.
I attended a gothic wedding on Halloween and this was the only place available and I'm glad as the hotel was great. I didn't have time to check in so arrived around 3am and my key awaited. Breakfast was super and the room was great too. Ii would definitely stay again as taxi wasn't too much into Whitby
Changed our room when we highlighted an issue with flies
They tried to charge us £110.00 extra even though we were assured there were no additional costs for change of room
Good allround. A superb room we received an upgrade. Had a 4 poster bed. Everything that I had asked for ie flowers were in the room on arrival. Food was superb in the restaurant. Altogether a wonderful overnight stay.
I have stayed there many times before with my wife who sadly died 2 yrs ago. I now have a new friend & wanted to impress her so where else to take her but Dunsley. The breakfasts were wonderful.
I ordered a rare steak & it came very thinly sliced & medium cooked. The only disappointment of the trip.
Was a lot of building work going on so not able to use all hotel
... was 1 option. No further comment.
Toilet didn't always flush. One vegetatian meal on menu.
Quiet & Quaint Beautiful & Bright Traditional & Très Bon We liked everything!
The bed was too soft for Goldilocks.
Everything, comfort, food, location to visit the country side,
Nothing except the bad weather, but that is something beyond us,,,,
Everything, price, food, location, comfort and friendliness of the staff.
quiet location friendly staff good food Picturesque
Country house style is comfortable with cosy bar. Excellent evening meal in dining room. Good value for money
Standard room only had hand-held shower in bath. Two items on an already limited bar menu were unavailable
The comfort and ease of moving around the hotel. Our room was lovely, very comfortable with all the little extras that make a sense of attention to detail. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Although the evening meal looked interesting we actually ate out as our days out took us beyond the locality so we did not return till much later. The sherry and glasses available in the beautiful, elegant drawing room was a special touch Would highly recommend this hotel.
the character of the building and the public areas, excellent breakfast made with quality ingredients (amazing sausages!), attentive staff, beautiful area all around
narrow access road from Sandsend a bit gloomy in the evening, the lack of heating in the bathroom & the toilet (otherwise beautiful and spotlessly clean!:))
Lovely building and nice surroundings. Friendly restaurant staff.
Reception staff aloof. Poor breakfast service and menu items not available. Noisy family in room above.
Cleanliness, friendly competent staff. Breakfast, gardens, comfortable bed.
