Location and the history of the building
There aren't many left like this; historical buildings, upgraded to nowadays comfort, without loosing any of it's charm. Beautiful gardens as well, must be fantastic in summer time.
Excellent food, lovely hotel
Friendly staff, lovely room and an excellent breakfast. Tranquil and relaxing.
The first room we were assigned had a drain problem. We were quickly given a nice room with no further problem.
The food was excellent. Tasty and well presented. Wine very good too.
booking.com price 70 pound hotel tried to charge 75.
It's a very beautiful place to stay full of character
Menu is limited for the late business traveller. I wanted a simple sandwich at about 9pm and Chef was unable to accommodate me.
Lovely hotel, felt like I was at home.
everything, intend to stay again soon
Restaurant was excellent. Great breakfast. Pleasant room.
A small point: the lighting in the room was not well arranged and the bathroom mirror oddly positioned.
Friendly, helpful staff and beautifully and tastefuly furnished room. Although one night of our stay was Burne's Night (with bagpipes and enthusiastic participants!) we were not inconvenienced. Our room initially was chilly but the staff addressed this problem swiftly.
nothing to dislike
The hotels beautiful and I mean stunning
Some fairly ill-chosen reproduction furniture.
Staff and food very good. Wine list short but O.K. Grounds looked lovely but too wet and windy to explore. Log fires. Comfortable sofas and chairs. Splendid building, for the most part, but deserving better furniture and decoration.
it was a bit noisy … due to a full house and an event
the choice of champagne !!!
Dinning room lacked atmosphere Payed extra for everything, not great value for money
Pleasant stay for one night. Difficult to give much of an appraisal, as the hotel was virtually empty (short-staffed) and the restaurant was not open on Sunday evening.
The food and size of room for money
It was clean
restaurant not available due to other functions .. plenty of warning .. not a real problem and lovely village just around the corner .. good food !!
The welcome was most warm and friendly .. helped with our luggage .. room had a lot of character and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay ..
The staff were very accommodating and professional. The hotel is full of character and very comfortable. We had a family celebration and the food was excellent even with a large number to serve. I would highly recommend Dunsley to anyone wanting a quiet clean hotel in the country but with good links.
Prices do not include breakfast
