Comrie sits in a beautiful valley amid the Highlands. The architecture is typically Scottish yet the street atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Comrie is lovely. Nice hotels and cafes. We were there for a wedding at Comrie Croft. Staying in Comrie suited us better. We had dinner at the Royal hotel. A very welcoming experience. Nice and cosy. Excellent food.

A small gateway town to the highlands. which includes a post office, local bus service, a range of small independent stores, cafes and hotels. The nearest town with a full service supermarket and banking facilities is Crieff about 10 miles to the East. Hiking and outdoor pursuits as well as easily navigable riverside walks in superb countryside offer a truly relaxing experience - but book local accommodation well in advance.antonyUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

The location of Newcroft is just fabulous being in the centre of Comrie and yet quietly situated at the end of the lane and close to the river with trees and shrubs. The house itself is superbly equipped and feels just like a real home. Externally, the provision of an outdoor eating area and a further seating area add to the appeal. The attention to detail is absolutely excellent. The shops in the village are just a short walk away whilst the golf club and skate park are also close by. I was in comrie overnight for a wedding but am planning to return to do some walking in the future! Comrie Croft is a must for visiting and there are loads of other wee gems I plan to explore as recommended by the lovely staff in the Royal Hotel where we stayed.KarenUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
