Comrie sits in a beautiful valley amid the Highlands. The architecture is typically Scottish yet the street atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Look out for the Earthquake monitoring station, nearby waterfalls, climb to the monumental viewpoint, visit the old military base and grab some fish and chips!

A small gateway town to the highlands. which includes a post office, local bus service, a range of small independent stores, cafes and hotels. The nearest town with a full service supermarket and banking facilities is Crieff about 10 miles to the East. Hiking and outdoor pursuits as well as easily navigable riverside walks in superb countryside offer a truly relaxing experience - but book local accommodation well in advance.

The location of Newcroft is just fabulous being in the centre of Comrie and yet quietly situated at the end of the lane and close to the river with trees and shrubs. The house itself is superbly equipped and feels just like a real home. Externally, the provision of an outdoor eating area and a further seating area add to the appeal. The attention to detail is absolutely excellent. The shops in the village are just a short walk away whilst the golf club and skate park are also close by. We enjoyed this cottage very much.

I was in comrie overnight for a wedding but am planning to return to do some walking in the future! Comrie Croft is a must for visiting and there are loads of other wee gems I plan to explore as recommended by the lovely staff in the Royal Hotel where we stayed.

Lovely village in wonderful scenic surroundings. The locals were friendly, especially the lady who, on hearing I'd left my wedding outfit at home (I remembered the cake!), invited me to look through her wardrobe for a replacement!!
