De Vere Venues Denham Grove  

The room was a good size with all you could need, however, the lighting in the room was minimal which looks lovely but not very practical. In the bathroom there was a light over the sink but the mirror was over to the left of the sink which meant it was hard to see when shaving. But the hotel is lovely, staff are friendly and facilities are good.

Room lighting was poor, TV channels were a bit of a mish-mash, some Sky channels and some Freeview. Room very cold and could not get radiator to work even though I had asked.

Just a nice place located slightly outside the village but good value and friendly atmosphere.

The front entrance was welcoming and bright. The reception staff were very eager to please and pleasant. There was a drop off area and the two car parks were easily accessed and near to the hotel. Plenty of spaces. The swimming pool looked lovely although I didn't make use of it.

The menu for the restaurant and bar was good but the food was not hot. The first night they were not crowded but we waited over 50 minutes after we had ordered before any food came with no explanation. Breakfast was a good selection and plentiful. The second night there was a wedding party and the staff were under stress. Our meal was a hot buffet and although the selection was good, the food was still not hot. I thought overpriced at £25 per head.

The hotel is quiet, on the outskirts of London making it easy to access the city. Great value, the breakfast is great and food generally very good. The Lounge/bar area is warming and relaxing, plenty of space for guests.

The restaurant menu is limited with only three options. Which I consider is poor for a hotel restaurant. The Bar menu is more substantial and feel the option should be made available to allow guests to eat from the bar menu in the restaurant, as the restaurant is lovely modern room which should be enjoyed. The hotel rooms look dated, whilst comfortable the furniture looks dated! For a De Vere Hotel, surprised to see a crt tv and not a flat screen.

It got very hot during the night even though we turned the heating off and had the window open

The staff where very pleasent and made me feel very welcome.

The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower although powerful soaked the bathroom and flooded the floor as the shower door was inadequate. This was clearly an on going problem as the bathroom door was rotting from the bottom up and the bath panel was split due to the excess water.

The hotel was clean, the room was well maintained and the bed and pillows were comfortable. However we found numerous ladybirds crawling up the walls and we were bothered by a very faint but persistent tapping noise that went all through the night. When we mentioned these points to reception they seemed disinterested and did not apologise... There was ample parking space, the location of the hotel was ideal for our stay.

Great value for money, Excellent location; we came from Heathrow airport and had a wonderful nights stay in the countryside The staff were polite, courteous and professional We would definitely stay there again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family - this extends to other de vere hotels that we will now consider booking first before any others

A pleaseant value for money stay. The bar back fixtures could do with a clean and the stairs were left uncleaned. Very little needs to be done to raise the standards of the hotel but the cleanliness in the communal and bar areas left a little to be desired.

It was ideally positioned to break a long journey. The room-service dinner was excellent both in quality and value for money

Breakfast was terrible. Everything was cold and there was no attempt to cater hot food for vegetarians

Location was ideal for our purpose. The grounds were peaceful,parking adequate and staff polite.

Our room [No. 33] was next to the pool entrance and some users were not too careful when closing the doors. The room was very warm when we arrived and even having left the window open for 2 hours it was not comfortable overnight. The bed was small [4 foot] and would have caused 2 larger occupants to request to be removed. I presumed that it is probably reserved for single occupancy. The floor did not appear to have been vacuumed before allocation and we had to request a second set of towels.

The staff made a mistake in my booking but they made amendments by upgrading my room. Great gesture to take away the initial frustrations. The bed was most comfortable and we had a very good night sleep after the hard partying the night before. Loved your secluded location. Great place for a short break from London.

The time restrictions for the use of the pool.

It was warm and quiet and the staff were excellent, food was very good too.
