The room was a good size with all you could need, however, the lighting in the room was minimal which looks lovely but not very practical. In the bathroom there was a light over the sink but the mirror was over to the left of the sink which meant it was hard to see when shaving. But the hotel is lovely, staff are friendly and facilities are good. Room lighting was poor, TV channels were a bit of a mish-mash, some Sky channels and some Freeview. Room very cold and could not get radiator to work even though I had asked.

Location in a wooded area on a secluded lane, lovely. Public areas very stylish. Swimming pool very good. Rooms very basic and not pristine. TV unwatchable as bad reception and little portable television set. Hotel hard to find.

The front entrance was welcoming and bright. The reception staff were very eager to please and pleasant. There was a drop off area and the two car parks were easily accessed and near to the hotel. Plenty of spaces. The swimming pool looked lovely although I didn't make use of it. The menu for the restaurant and bar was good but the food was not hot. The first night they were not crowded but we waited over 50 minutes after we had ordered before any food came with no explanation. Breakfast was a good selection and plentiful. The second night there was a wedding party and the staff were under stress. Our meal was a hot buffet and although the selection was good, the food was still not hot. I thought overpriced at £25 per head.

The room was very spacious and amenities in room excellent i.e. ironing board, iron, tea/coffee making facility, large, comfortable bed. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Parts of the hotel are in need of some TLC such as rotting window frames, carpets in public areas in need of cleaning and some furniture in bar area in need of replacement.

The hotel is quiet, on the outskirts of London making it easy to access the city. Great value, the breakfast is great and food generally very good. The Lounge/bar area is warming and relaxing, plenty of space for guests. The restaurant menu is limited with only three options. Which I consider is poor for a hotel restaurant. The Bar menu is more substantial and feel the option should be made available to allow guests to eat from the bar menu in the restaurant, as the restaurant is lovely modern room which should be enjoyed. The hotel rooms look dated, whilst comfortable the furniture looks dated! For a De Vere Hotel, surprised to see a crt tv and not a flat screen.

Nice clean smart hotel with good facilites and in a good rural position although still close to centre of London I thought the reception staff were not as good as other hotels I have stayed at, the main reception didnt open until 7am and was manned by someone before then that couldnt help with queries over bills etc. ALso think that breakfast should start earlier, it doesnt start until 7am and it could do with being open earlier especially for business travellers.

The area and location. From the outside the the facility looked modern and welcoming. The restaurant whilst empty surved superb food and choice good be made from both the bar and a la carte menu's. I think that the rooms and facilities within are in need of modernisation.

The staff where very pleasent and made me feel very welcome. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower although powerful soaked the bathroom and flooded the floor as the shower door was inadequate. This was clearly an on going problem as the bathroom door was rotting from the bottom up and the bath panel was split due to the excess water.

The public bar/lounge was superb. Also free coffee/tea and biscuits were available in the lounge. When we arrived they had no booking forus, fortunately there was a spare room available, and they gave us an upgrade.

The hotel was clean, the room was well maintained and the bed and pillows were comfortable. However we found numerous ladybirds crawling up the walls and we were bothered by a very faint but persistent tapping noise that went all through the night. When we mentioned these points to reception they seemed disinterested and did not apologise... There was ample parking space, the location of the hotel was ideal for our stay.

On arriving at reception they had no reservation for me !! After showing them my paperwork a room was found and things were sorted out. This was embarrassing and disappointing, I would have expected better.

Great value for money, Excellent location; we came from Heathrow airport and had a wonderful nights stay in the countryside The staff were polite, courteous and professional We would definitely stay there again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family - this extends to other de vere hotels that we will now consider booking first before any others

We booked the double room at a special price and we were more than happy with the room and service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. When we ordered our steak we were expecting 2 have chips with it but we had 2 order them separate which cost five pounds on top the total. The chips should be in with the price of the steak.

A pleaseant value for money stay. The bar back fixtures could do with a clean and the stairs were left uncleaned. Very little needs to be done to raise the standards of the hotel but the cleanliness in the communal and bar areas left a little to be desired.

The hotel is away from any main roads and is accessed from a single lane track just passed Denham Aerodrome. There are a large number of rooms. The hotel also boast a restaurant, fitness and swimming facilities. The restaurant food was good although the menu was limited. However you can also order off the bar menu There are also vending machines for snacks and drinks etc. Ground floor rooms are nice and modern. I would reccomend this hotel but insist on a ground floor room. We were initially put in an upstairs room. This was very 1980's decor and the flush on the toilet did not work. After waiting for 1 1/4 Hrs for maintenance (which did not arrive) we insisted on being moved to another room. This was a modern room on the ground floor. The upstairs rooms are in definite need of modernisation.

It was ideally positioned to break a long journey. The room-service dinner was excellent both in quality and value for money Breakfast was terrible. Everything was cold and there was no attempt to cater hot food for vegetarians

Excellent location to Harefield Hospital where I was visiting Attempt to cancel booking by the hotel two days before I was travelling was dissappointing and I was always under the impression that I wasn't that welcome and was housed in an annex to the main hotel in a room that was not normally used. Also the TV channel choice was limited and was not the satellite tv service advertised.

Location was ideal for our purpose. The grounds were peaceful, parking adequate and staff polite. Our room [No. 33] was next to the pool entrance and some users were not too careful when closing the doors. The room was very warm when we arrived and even having left the window open for 2 hours it was not comfortable overnight. The bed was small [4 foot] and would have caused 2 larger occupants to request to be removed. I presumed that it is probably reserved for single occupancy. The floor did not appear to have been vacuumed before allocation and we had to request a second set of towels.

Hi. We stayed at the hotel as we were guests at a dinner in one of the function rooms. Although I selected 2 adults on the booking, we were given towels for 1 person. The staff did not know how to turn the heating up in the function room, so we were cold all night. The pa/speaker system did not work correctly. The walls in our room were dented. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our time at this hotel.

The staff made a mistake in my booking but they made amendments by upgrading my room. Great gesture to take away the initial frustrations. The bed was most comfortable and we had a very good night sleep after the hard partying the night before. Loved your secluded location. Great place for a short break from London. The time restrictions for the use of the pool.

The staff were friendly especially the catering staff. The service from entering the hotel was poor. Several colleagues had to wait for over 4 hours to be able to access their room (they arrived at 2.00pm) Even at 6.00pm the corridors were full of dirty linen. The room ordered was a twin and we were given a double.
