    Large room

    Lift not working - no offer of porterage or apology Blankets not duvet, not acceptable Electric pump for hot water, no pressure Decor very dated, poor finish Heavy rain overnight & water pouring through electric light in dining room had to insist that light was switched off as apparently no awareness of health & safety

    Welcoming staff, nice hotel but some areas could do with a little updating.

    Bathroom not as clean as you would expect from a 4 star hotel.

    Hallmark hotel was such good value for money. The spa facilities were brilliant. Couldn't fault our entire stay! Would Definitely return and recommend !

    The food, staff and facilities were good. Shame the other problems let it down.

    Lift not working - on 3rd floor. one bath towel and one hand towel for two people. poor shower pressure.

    Spa facilies,restaurant was very nice, do you have to use two hundred characters so people stop writing and cannot be bothered to continue with assesment there was als people smoking outside of reception when there was a clear sign to say No Smoking, so all the smoke came into the hotel reception area

    Doors slamming all night , bathrooms poor low water pressure poor temperature adjustment, the door on the bathroom had all damage up the closing edge, the remote control for television did not work Over all the room was shabby and dated with a few nice touches to try and cover up poor fixtures in room

    The staff were very friendly and helpful! In particular the man behind reception could not be more helpful and very nice and easy to talk to and very welcoming!

    The sauna and indoor pool

    The rooms were too hot and it was too noisy during the night could not sleep at all. The hotel is really ancient to avoid disappointment do not book this hotel otherwise by the time u leave the hotel u will be stressed out.

    Spa was basic though nice Staff we're very friendly Scones beautiful Breakfast very nice and great choice

    Afternoon tea was a joke! Sandwiches were stale Very poor choice, 2 scones each pathetic sandwich and a very thin slice of Apple tart, when warm was nice, though when cool was hard. No refil on tea of coffee offered, no butter with the scones only cream and jam. No menu offered had to ask for no salmon, no offer of alternatives Very expensive bar

    It's location to the city as we were there for a show, the greeting staff were welcoming.

    Cleanliness of the pool and changing facilities, having to wait and take my own ice bucket from the bar instead of it being brought up, room door not on it's hinge, bathroom needed a little work as tap came off in my hand

    Spa and breakfast was exallent Manager was very helpful and delt with all our issues

    Only one staff member at night . They ran out of dressing gowns . Door and window did not lock

    We liked the facilities and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful .

    The fact the lift was out of order.and slightly noisy people coming in late and there consideration for others was not there.

    Relaxing Atmosphere Chilled out bar and restaurant, Bed Choice of facilities, although didn't use as weather was too nice to be inside! Friendly staff and also very helpful

    Room too small and too hot with 1 small window and a small fan not enough to keep you cool.

    Hotel very nice, staff very kind,

    My son and I stayed at the Hallmark hotel last year! We both loved the Hotel so Much we decided to go back And next year we will do the same!!

    The public areas were modern and clean. For a first time visit to a pool/spa area the facilities were adequate.

    Lift was out of order. There was no air conditioning and some of the rooms tired. Breakfast was average but finished very early - 0930, which if you are staying for leisure it would be better to finish at 1030.

    not consider this 4star,some repairs to furniture/fittings incomplete,room should have been cleaner,grubby menues at breakfast,grubby literature in room.breakfast lovely but not very hot.

    Gorgeous room that was very clean. Delicious food and the staff were lovely. The spa was also very relaxing. Enjoyed my stay very much and would absolutely come back again!

    The room was a little tired looking and could probably do with a touch up.

    We loved the location and this size of our room and en-suite We also loved the pool and spa

    The staff were mostly foreign and could hardly be understood, the cleaners walked into our room not once but twice! Once at 8am and then again at 9.30am! We didn't have to check out until 11am. The pool had far too much chlorine and made our eyes sting and stream. We had to take our own breakfast due to it being so exspensive. Shower was poor for such an exspensive room. De-cor was dated.

    Food was gorgeous,

    Feel hotel needs updating, carpet stuck down with black tape at join , just amatter of time when someone trips up. Tables in lounge bar disgraceful, either need re varnished or new.

    The location and the food and the SPA facilities although we feel there should be a permanant front of house person especially during a busy breakfast period.

    No Brandy glasses so served single tot in a half-pint tumbler full of ice. Why clean pipes on draft everything at 2.30pm when bar is open. Trying to measure Pressecco in a metal spirit measure, also despite cards all over the bar showing special offer on 2 of these computer still had the wrong price ie the non-offer price. Why was it that I was sent an email telling me what was on in the Bournemouth area during our time there nobody bothered to contact us to tell us that there would be no lift available for the duration of our stay and none available for several months, there should be some sort of rebate for having to climb thiose stairs whilst we were there. When we checked in we were told there we would be paying for the room only and that if we required Breakfast then that would be extra for every day we had one, yet the bill quite clearly shows that we had paid for bed and breakfast which on 2 of our days we did not use. Glenmorangie bottle on display but none in stock!

    Spa facilities

    The lift was broken and we were on the top floor. Room & whole hotel could do we a makeover, a lot of cracked paint and scuffed surfaces.
