Great helpful staff got me a double room with bath for Single Occ Great Sauna Steam Room.Swimm Pool All to Myself as Hotel was quiet 2 Mins.to Beach
We had a Fantastic Week-end everything about it was excellent The staff were very help-ful & pleasant
We have stayed at the Durley Dean many times at various times of the year.We are always happy to return as the hotel has retained old fashioned hotel traditions while at the same time is up to date with contemporary decor,wi fi and excellent menu's to choose from.We feel very much at home here and look forward to our next visit.
There really isn't much we dont like. The only small gripe is that thicker toast at breakfast would be nice!
staff were excellent
as the pool is not really big enough to exercise swim it should warmer
Loved our stay Laura on reception is one of the best staff you could ever have on front desk at any hotel she made us feel welcome and had a lovely time ,the swimming pool and sauna and steam was amazing had the whole facilities to our self
There was nothing I didn't like the place it was well equip for our stay the only thing I didn't like was when we had to come home
Too many coach parties. Catered for older people hence the temperature was unbearably hot. Felt rushed when eating what was a very poor meal for the money.
The location was excellent, just a 5 min walk to the lovely sandy beach and Harvester restraunt (very handy for children!). Hotel was all we needed, nice pool and facilities!
Temperature in the pool could have been warmer. Wifi reception was very intermittent/poor.
Lovely period building, comfortable bed and facilties
Very hollow walls, could hear other guests and staff members talking and walking around, even early morning
Easy walk to the beach, clean rooms and even the compact room is sufficient for a short stay. Good facilities with the pool.
The cleaners tried to get into our room and woke us up at 8am then again at 9am even though we were checking out and not required to check out until 11am. It would be helpful if the cleaners did not access the rooms being checked out until after 11am.
All most everything
Heat of room
A lovely couple of nights away to unwind before Christmas. The weather was good too which was an added bonus. This is our 2nd visit to the durley dean hotel and it did not disappoint. We had an evening meal on the Friday evening in the Dining room, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Great location for the Bic, shops and beach. We shall definately be back in the new year.
The hotel on the whole was good value for money. Well located with easy access to main shopping area.
That room had to be paid up front. After taking credit card payment one would assume you could use the bar and restaurant and bar. But after ordering a meal and a drink we couldn't eat until we'd opened an account. Both my partner and myself have travelled the world extensively and never come across this before.
Room was very comfortable with a lovely bed and lovely finish. Room was immaculate and left very clean after we had been out for the day.
The Internet was a bit hard to connect to sometimes but was a good speed once it was connected. Also room was an end of building so had very sloped ceiling and was noisy when rained.
We had a very nice time. The only thing I would say is that the car park is very small and we had a young child. We were visiting family in Poole on the first night and when we got back there were no parking spaces and we had to park about 10 minutes walk away. The hotel were very good and for the next evening they got us a space at a hotel opposite.
small car park.
The room was very spacious and perfect for our daughter to have some space.
The breakfast is overpriced. We had to walk through the dining room to get to our room which was a nightmare with cases and a pram. The window in our room didn't lock which was a concern as we were on the ground floor. We were told not to worry as nothing has been stolen before.....
Pool, sauna and hammam
The noise on Saturday night when there are party.
Hotel excellent location .Very comfortable bed.Very pleased that we could include our dog in our visit. He gives Durley Dean a big ( thumbs) paws up .
Pillows a little too hard for me.
The mattress was appalling and tipped me almost on the floor and the noise next to our head board woke us up at stupid o'clock would not recommend this hotel or avoid room 302
Everything was lovely, it has been updated since the last time we were there.
Need more tea and coffee milk and sugar in the room for the price.
Bed not comfortable
welcome by receptionist
Room was very small Tables very close together
The hotel had everything we needed, our rooms were spacious and well equipped. The towels were big and fluffy and plentiful, the location was excellent too. I would definitely visit again.
Could do with a Jacuzzi as would have been nice to languish in with friends. No biscuits with tea/coffee tray!
Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Self service buffet breakfast was good. Great value for money though and would stay again.
Pool was a bit on the cold side. Room was a bit small and terribly hot, even in November with the heating off and windows open, (I suspect that heating pipes ran under the floor of the room)
Pool Staff Location Cost
Poor room location for pushchair access, 3 sets of stairs even with using the lift Uncomfortable bed Nosy water pipes through the walls next to the bed throughout the night Aged room decor
Location, breakfast, recreational facilities
The lighting in some areas e,g lounge and bedroom was not bright enough
