Location Friendly staff
No A/C or fridge in standard rooms Lift wasn't working
Good location and good value. Nice hotel with no fuss.
Internet connection is diabolical. Also my room was tiny. Ok this trip as I just needed a place to sleep but any other time would send me mad.
it was very nice, a friend recommended it as he has stayed there.
the wifi was pretty useless
Very loud neibours and very poor internet which made it very hard to work.... However over all everybody was trying to help Thank you very much
Size of bed
A lovely hotel with a warm old world feel. The rooms aren't big but they are very comfortable.
The small bar is very cosy but also very expensive.
it would have been nice to have coffee/tea facility in the bedroom
Breakfast was lovely, staff bright and friendly
Room was an upgrade but tiny,, i can only presume thr original room was a broom cupboard! Bathroom tiny and shower dribbled out!
location, complimentary wifi, service
rooms in need of refurbishment. especially the carpets and the wallpapers.
Location, bar, restaurant
Bedrooms tiny and shabby. Bathrooms minuscule. Decor hasn't been updated since I stayed here in the 1980's. Housekeeping poor. I was very disappointed as I like the location and have fond memories of long-ago visits.
A wonderful country style hotel in the middle of London. The rooms, whilst small, were well thought through with lovely features. I partiulary enjoyed the Roberts radio and the rain shower head. Around the hotel are plenty of small nooks to sit in and enjoy some peace. The staff upgraded both myself and my brother, which was a lovely gesture as it was my brother's birthday. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was lovely to come back from an evening out to find my bed had been turned down.
Superbly maintained and great customer care. The best base in West London
When booking a non mainstream hotel in London you always prepare yourself for the worse, it's a nice surprise when you find yourself in a fantastic facility! Great location just seconds away from Marylebone High Street, Baker Street and the top of Oxford. Very friendly and respectable staff who familiarise themselves with you immediately. Nice little private wine bar and good meeting facilities.
Not really a problem but maybe one of the slowest lifts I've been in for a while! Encourages a bit of exercise to use the stairs!
The general ambiance and helpful staff.
Am afraid we prefer a duvet these days and found the sheets/blankets somewhat restrictive and too warm. Would recommend you offer a choice. Also no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Lovely hotel with a period feel. Beautifully furnished. Service excellent throughout the stay. Will certainly stay there again when next in London!
No coffee maker in the room
Everything, charming staff, excellent service, great location
No inroom tea and coffe
we had no complaints
Comfortable distinctive hotel( not a large chain) staff very helpful and courteous.
Bed was a bit hard
Location, Good Staff Quiet
Finding hairs in the bath and on the bathroom floor The room was much smaller than on a previous visit
Location perfect for sightseeing visitors of London inner city; traditional style & kind service very good
Rooms & furnishing could be more modern (didn't quite match web site photographs)
Charming hotel with a great location, central yet quiet. Also, lots of lovely restaurant on the nearby James St.
I got one of the (few?) rooms without air conditioning. I was given a non-oscillating fan that was not of much help. No ventilation whatsoever in the bathroom. The room was pleasant, but basically impossible to be in. The booking page does not make any distinction between air-conditioned vs. non air-conditioned rooms, which are charged at the same price. This I find unacceptable and the hotel should at least inform if one is booking an air-conditioned room or not.
great hotel, nice staff and a good size room (especially for London).
all good !
The Hotel was beautiful and the staff were very helpful.
The most wonderful old style truly British hotel. Lovely antiques, great common spaces, and wonderful value. Great bed, delicious food. Caring staff. Can't say enough good things.
