Sweet little room
No slippers or bathrobe in room. No EU plug in the room and when I requested one per telephone it did not arrive at my room as I was told. Not sufficient light in room. Carpets does not give a clean impression.
The location is very good as we were shopping at Selfridges. We managed to park the car in a very close side street and had a lovely dinner just around the corner in Marylebone High Street. All very, very convenient.
Quiet and you can relax but still central location and accessible should you wish to go shopping or night out. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Bed, location, design of the hotel. Staff were very helpful.
Double tap and non- frosted windows in the bathroom
it's a charming house.
the room was very small. no minibar. when we asked for cups and glasses, we were charged with 2.50£ only for that service.
Decoration poor, water supply poor, expensive
The evening meal choices also the intimate bar and lounge areas
Not enough blankets !
The staff, the location and the classic understated shabby chic. We loved our stay.
Our room was a bit small and the wallpaper had a few scuffs. The headboard was a bit smelly.
warm welcome with plenty of friendly staff on hand, comfortable quiet room, good breakfast to set you up for the day.
old classy, traditional London feel
the bar and restaurant did not have any music/hence lacking atmosphere
Lovely ambience of hotel
We like to make tea or coffee in our room.
Location was fantastic Traditional style hotel the comfortable seating areas
No tea and coffee in room small room expensive breakfast
We love the historic luxury of the place. It is like stepping into the set of Downton Abbey.
Location, staff, facilities, had a 'boutique' feel
Bedroom too hot!
old world comfort and attentive staff
pricing of everything
Staff attentive and pleasant. Bathroom modern.
Upholstery and rugs stained. Lighting poor. Only plug for iPad under the desk.
location straff traditional features
broken down climate control some staff weren't good speaking english
Luxury feel of room and public spaces
People standing on ceremony watching as you walked to the lift!
Excellent location, discovered a new favorite museum, The Wallace Collection, right across the street. Friendly staff and a great restaurant to boot. Oh and, don't forget the bar. Curl up in front of their fireplace with an English brew. It's heaven.
lovely staff, quickly available. Charming old english style hotel. Well located.
No reliable wifi. They felt the problem was perhaps just one of those things and it was suggested that I use the corner coffee shop. No tea kettle in room which is pretty standard in English hotels. They did bring one on request. I needed a special tea which I carried and they wanted to charge for empty tea cups. We have stayed there many times in the past and while it is a charming hotel, it is being renovated and the first room assigned was near a room being painted. The desk was clueless.
location and facilities
bedding, old fashion sheets and blankets why cant they see how good and hygenic duvets are, move with the times Durrant
The old world values
We had a big suite, which was lovely decorated and roomy. The bed could have been a bit bigger (since we are quite tall, both 1m90+), but was very comfortable. We can't stress enough how wonderful the staff is. Breakfast is always a pleasure. Parking is expensive and a bit difficult, but hey, we love the possibility of parking in London-central. We will be back (we hope).
The showerhead was fixed at a height of less than 1m90, so neither of us could take a shower. The wifi was fine, but the hotel's internet connection was next to nothing (all day and even at night), so we had no use for the wifi.
