The hotel is just off Baker Street which is one of my favourite parts of London. So many things are close by and access to other areas is really easy. The hotel was quiet and old fashioned, with great staff and a really relaxing. Wonderful breakfast and a lovely sleep! Superb.
Hardly anything. If I had to find something then the desk in my bedroom was a bit small.
staff was friendly. great location
room was small. Shower water did not warm up! I showered in cold/luke warm water breakfast was only per menu instead of buffet I am used to.
Very unprofessional staff which need some basic training on how to treat customers!
very small room paint was coming off in the bathroom at the ceiling, and the curtains also have been falling down. i mentioned that and they neither changed that problem. i got a new room at the end of the week of my 7days stay which was a bit smaller than the first one but not damaged anymore. it is a shame that i had to ask 3 times in order to fix that problem. doesn't match a lot with the facade..
Bathroom is old, two faucet sinks, room was small
The location & the classic style
The hotel needs an update and it is very expensive
I would not select this hotel for an extended stay but as an overnighter in London it is perfect. Close to Oxford Street and minutes by cab from Theatreland was what we looked for. Quintessentially English it could be viewed as old fashioned but there were no complaints here.
Wardrobe spacewould have been limited for an extended stay
Easy walk from Bond St Station to the quiet location of the Hotel
Charming staff !
Excellent staff - felt very safe and personal
Little bit noisy some rooms near road and not great toiletries in room
Very traditional English hotel, the service was polite and personal, the food and silver service excellent.Complements to the chef. The evening meal was lovely traditional food tasted excellent, even my daughter approved and she is usually very crotical. Wonderful location, close to Marlebone Village and Oxford Street and Regents Park. We would stay again.
The bedroom was rather dated, bathroom very small, reminded us of Granny's house with all the antiques, wardrobe door needed attention as difficult to close.Would have been lovely to have tea making facility in room
Tiny room Outdated bathroom
The room was very small more like a single than double and very litle cabnit space
old style in modern quartier
No coffee or tea in the room.
We booked rather late but were given a beautiful refurbished room on the 3rd floor. Unlike most London hotels this was spacious, as was the bathroom that also had his and hers sink units. Everything exuded quality from the bedding to the drapes to the soft cream painted walls. We are definitely booking this hotel again but asking for the refurbished rooms on the 3rd floor.
Nothing but if I was being picky I would have liked tea making facilities in the room.
with air conditioning on, it was quite quiet room large
toilet stuck right next to bath nasty plastic shower curtain did not feel clean wallpaper peeling, paint marked staff impersonal
Despite having all the facilities expected from a good, Central London hotel, it has a warm, friendly atmosphere which is lacking in some of its competitors.
The table we had selected and booked for dinner had been allocated to someone else by the time we arrived in the restaurant. Small point but displays lack of care in reservation process.
Very good room and spacious bathroom.
Breakfast not included and not buffet.
Friendly and responsive staff; a nice old-fashioned feel and quite a bit of charm. Cozy bar with good food for a late bite.
My room didn't have air conditioning and was hot and a bit stuffy. Opening the windows brought noise and exhaust fumes. No coffee maker or kettle in the room. Very dim lighting.
The concierge is very jolly and helpful. Lovely bar
Sour staff especially in bar. Never smiled once at my husband or myself. Noise in rooms was terrible. Could hear everything from next door and slamming doors till early hours. Only got 4 hours sleep on two of the nights. On checkout there was no thank you for staying or any pleasantries
Durrants Hotel represents the best part of English tradition. The atmosphere is great and the hotel personnel makes there cosy. Location close to Oxford Street and St. Christopher’s Place is very good.
The room was tired and in need of a complete make over. The shower didn't have the pressure to supply an even flow.
Excellent friendly staff who were on the ball. Location excellent for a west end London stay in a quiet location. Unfortunately our Air con didn't work but our upgrade costs were refunded without us even asking. We left with a good feeling & will use this hotel again.
Intimate The dining room and the bar are very congenial
The size of the room is minimal.
