Very comfortable, friendly and great value, everything was clean and new including the en-suite. Excellent breakfast. Within walking distance of the city centre and main tourist attractions, but far enough away to be peaceful. |

Friendly proprietors - very welcoming. Good location for Edinburgh city and surroundings. Very comfortable, welll maintained room and excellent breakfasts. Character 'Victorian' building with front garden and guest parking at rear. Somewhere between a guest house and a hotel - (7 rooms) so small enough to feel cosy and large enough to have privacy. Would book again. |

Comfortable Bed & Breakfast small hotel. Pleasing location easy drive from the airport and good for access to City centre. Good breakfast and welcoming owners/staff. We arrived around 10pm and found the room to be rather cold. It appeared that the heating had gone off already and it was next morning before it came on again. Having some control over the heating would have been good. |

The hotel is situated a 50m walk from a bus stop and is convinient to access both the city center and the airport. Their spacious rooms are renovated and clean. All staff are kind. Their Scotish breakfast was acceptable level but not tasty. Boiler was sometime noisy. |

The location of the hotel was very central to the city and outlying areas. We liked the casualness and friendly atmosphere. The hotel was clean and the gardens were beautiful. (And, we loved Brachen.) |

Very helpful and accommodating - very helpful with young child. Beautiful house, clean rooms with attractive furnishings. Good food, and a very friendly owner (and lovely dog happy with young child around). We would happily return to this Lodge. The curtains were not lined (normal or black-out linings) - we had very little sleep due to our 4year old unable to sleep with the bright light. We were awake from 5am! |

Duthus Lodge is a real home from home, An excellent location close to the centre of Edinburgh you could not ask for more. The Lodge is meticulously clean, the rooms are tastefully furnished and the breakfast was perfect and the owners are both friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We would not hesitate in recommending this place or staying there if we visit Edinburgh again. |
