The bed linen and towels and shower room were nice and clean and price reasonable.
All a bit rickety and shabby and could hear everything from room next door.
Staff very helpful from the word go. Room was clean with basic cooking facilities. Very quiet hotel and close to all transport links with Paddington Station just a stone throw away.
They charged me £99 when to have come after 10pm when my marking was made to 11.30pm. I feel robbed me want my money back.
I needed a place to stay near the Paddington station, the location of the Apartments was ideal for me. The room was clean, kitchenette equipped, everything was in working order. Cannot say anything about WiFi as I did not use it. For the money paid I got what I wanted.
The size of the room was not even micro-, it was nano-. To climb to the 5th floor with the luggage could have been a problem, but the member of stuff helped me. Obviously not the best place for the elderly.
The value for money in the location was excellent. Those complaining about the room size etc. Compared to the price have obviously not visited london a lot so do not know how much accomodation in the city can cost. The room was clean and cozy, staff where friendly and the location was wonderful. Having a kitchen area was very handy too.
The bed was pretty uncomfortable, it could be a bit noisey due to thin walls and the room temperature controls where a bit erratic. Also I can imagine the bathroom may be a bit small for some. My girlfriend and I are two slim built short girls so we where fine but you might not fair as well if you're a tall, heavy set guy.
very friendly stuff, location
very cold during winter, cleaning can be improved, fire alarm is extremely sensitive
We have kitchen, and the environment is quiet，we have a small fridge
The level of cleaning is depended on the mood of housekeeper, the room is too small～
Location is good. It is near Kensington park and Paddington station. Pretty easy to reach anything in London.
My understanding of minimal apartments is 2 rooms: kitchen and bedroom. Both rooms I've been in don't satisfy this. I can't say there is a kitchen inside. If you want very, very badly you can cook something, but... In summary I do not recommend to stay with small child in this hotel. It may be ok to stay in it for adults only and in warm period.
The location was great, and we were able to check in early which was a bonus. Staff were helpful.
Fire alarm went off every morning when the staff arrived, not a very pleasant wake up call at 7.45am!
location and kitchen facilities
Bed uncomfortable and wobbly, though staff fixed this promptly
- location to restaurants
-noisy -wi fi didnt work in room -location to hyde park was double the walking distance stated on the website - the bed was uncomfortable -the toilet made loud noises the entire stay -the shower was too small
Location, pleasant lady who booked us in. cleanliness.
Cold, shabby room, faulty tv, general shoddiness of all areas
Great place, BUT the best thing was the staff, they made our trip perfect.
Size of the room
Central location Reasonable price
Starting to fall to pieces Curtains are too short to cover window Window wont stay open Water in shower is code for ages, then absolutely boiling etc Wifi very slow, almost useless
Everything else: Stained Bedding Peeling wall paint Mould in the shower Ammonia type smell coming from the drains including Kitchen Sink!!! Broken floor tiles in bathroom that I could have easily cut my foot on. I went here because I had a job interview. due to road works we were running late, we called up to inform the apartment and were informed that there would be a £50 charge for being late, When we arrived no one was there to unlock the door and my partner and I ended up waiting on the doorstep for close to half and hour around midnight until we were let in. During this Half hour we had called all the telephone numbers on the door including the emergency number twice(we think this might have been the manager ) Finally when someone opened the door we were informed that it would be £99 charge for turning up after midnight. ( I am currently still fighting this case that I was there before midnight) When we got down to room 3 in the basement, we were greeted by a freezing cold room where the heating barely seemed to work ... It wasn't a comfortable heat for about 3 hours. The rest of the problems listed above were realised quite quickly after that. Save your money Go somewhere else
I loved the location, its vicinity to Paddington station was fantastic. Lovely space, an apartment was handy
My basement room couldn't access the free wifi which was the first reason I booked it. I had to sit out on the stairwell or in the office to skype or check emails which wasn't okay. There was no dishwashing detergent, or teatowel in the room so no way to washup dishes after a meal.
The apartment is located near to the Hyde Park and an underground station. The staff offered useful information about local places to visit and things to do.
Sometimes the toilet presented a bad smell, perhaps because of the high humidity. The Wi-Fi connection was poor inside the room, if any. The kitchen features (toaster, microwave, and so on) were far from the sockets and the microwave could not be used.
The entrance hall and stairwell smelled of sewage. We arrived as one couple checked out a day early and another couple complaining their room did not lock. The room (studio apartment) was cramped and in poor repair, stained ceiling and walls and dirty grey net curtains half hanging in the window space. The room was not the well presented studio apartment seen in the pictures; it didn't even come close! I feel cheated. Nothing was working at first; TV, heating and extractor fans were all off and the room was freezing with the window wide open. Eventually, after the grumpy staff member fiddled with the tv it worked, he said the heating was fine and would take half an hour to heat up. After an hour I worked out the power had been tripped and sorted the fuse box myself! The power tripped throughout the weekend. The bed was barely able to fit in the 'apartment' and was rickety with ancient looking bedding and the 'fully equipped kitchen' was a joke. We were also charged an addition £10 for leaving our bags even though the stay was massively disappointing and already overpriced. Overall a most disheartening experience given the price of this stay. Avoid this place, I have stayed in more pleasant and well maintained hostels at a fraction of the cost!
The location was good, two tubes a short distance away
The rooms were far too small, and the bathroom tiny. There was no hot water at any time during the 3 nights we stayed. The window in one of the rooms was almost falling out and cracked and both rooms were noisy all through the night and generally untidy. No remote for the tv and when told they were going to change us to another room the following morning they didn't. Would not recommend to anyone thinking of staying here.
We were given a room on the basement which was really smelly. The person at the reception told that they were fully booked but when I said that I would complain, then he reacted and changed me to a better room. Even though I tried with FOUR credit cards, I could not use them according to the person at the receiption. Note: I paid all my shopping and meals in London with those cards the three days after... The bathroom was really smelly The wi-fi connection was very weak and thus we could not use it
Bed was very uncomfortable, the apartment was in the basement - thus little to no mobile signal and the wifi was very poor. The whole apartment smelt a little damp, and is desperately in need of a refurb. You do not expect much for under £100 in London I appreciate, but this was really rather shabby.
Stayed here a few time. Rooms vary, some are better set out than others. This one wasn't particulalry well laid out. However is works well as a stopover.
This room was just a small single en suite with a hob/sink/ fridge in an alcove. No space for the kettle, toaster just in the hob. The microwave was high up even for me (and I'm 6 foot).
