plenty to eat at breakfast, rooms smelt nice on arrival as did the rest of hotel every thing was clean and tidy
the carpet on the stairs was a little worn
Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast
Friendly staff, comfortable room, bar open at convenient times
There should have been a mirror or dressing table in the room for women to use when doing hair or makeup. Chairs in bar very uncomfortable for the older person, perhaps a TV should be in the lounge.
It was a good breakfast, served by friendly staff. The location was OK and suited our needs. Would use this hotel again and recommend to others.
Had a basement room, which was fine, but the carpet on the last set of stairs to room, needed vacuum cleaning.
Service was good, staff helpful.Good variety for breakfast.Off road parking, Easy walk to seafront.Enjoyed stay.
Nothing that was a problem.
High level of comfort and cleanliness, homely rooms, lovely breakfast - all at a very reasonable price and near the seafront and the station.
Our room was bright and nice. with tall windows. It was clean and spacious and overlooked the garden at the back of the hotel. The beds were comfortable with immaculately clean linen and towells. We enjoyed a peaceful evening and had a good night's sleep. The man on reception was helpful. The shower which has been recently re-furbishished was excellent and provided lots of hot water.
The cooked breakfast could have been less greasy.
New laminate flooring in the bedroom - makes a change from dubious carpets one normally gets in hotels
We had to turn the mattress to get a reasonable night's sleep (something we're sure most hotels don't do regularly). There were also not enough staff at breakfast - it was busy with only one person serving so we had to wait a long time for it
Nice staff, parking, decent quality for a decent price.
Staff were friendly, breakfast choice was good and room was clean!!
Clean, comfortable room with all the expected facilities. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice. The owner was really friendly and helpful and the guest areas were spacious and nicely decorated. The garden provided additional attractive space. Very good value for money.
I am being very picky here, but the pillows were a bit tired and flat and needed replacing. In the morning, you had to make your own tea with bags in a cup from a hot water urn - teabags or service would be nicer.
nice clean and large room, good breakfast close to sea front
Hotel looked nice from the outside and new bathroom was lovely, but it was a Superior room and was extra.
Breakfast was adequate and could have been better.
Breakfast. Room quality. Friendly staff.
No shower curtain in bath with shower head. No directions on how to use the sink plug in bathroom.
The hotel is nicely located, has parking and has recently been refurbished. The breakfast was fine.
Although recently refurbished a few further tweaks/enhancements such as newer furniture and better mattresses would make the experience better. A warmer welcome upon arrival would also go down well. A reasonable B&B with good prospects - just need to go the extra mile for the price!
We thought the Hotel outstanding. It was scrupulously clean, the rooms were good sized and comfortable, there was always enough room in the car park, and facilities included a lounge and a bar
It was a little way from Hastings centre, was the only criticism.
-spacious bed -friendly staff -excellent breakfast -enjoyed drinks at the bar in the evening
-toilet broke therefore had to be moved to a basic room -noisy room upstairs due to no carpet -would have preferred a walk in shower in the basement superior room -towels wasn't replenished -bins not changed daily
Liked the provision of a car park space. Location was good and the facade looks impressive. Staff very helpful and breakfast tasty. Large room and comfortable bed. Booking was easy.
Steep stairs down to room. Lack of provision for towels near the wash basins. Wash basin shapes very trendy but not very practical for washing. Square toilet seat!!
breakfast good Alterations to downstairs level look good
Bathroom too small - overall standard not worth the money. Could have been cleaner. Seen better furniture in second hand shops.
Great clean, comfortable rooms and bed, excellent breakfast. Clean towels every day. Bar in the evenings was welcoming. The recent refurbishments give an updated feel.
Front rooms tend to suffer from traffic noise in the early morning(needed window open as it was hot) There should have been a mattress protector on the bed.
the walk back up the hill
The breakfast, free parking, large bedroom.
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, and had good tea/coffee making facilities and ensuite. We all enjoyed the cooked breakfast, which is served in a spacious dining room. There is also beautiful outside space, a large garden, accessed from the visitors lounge/ dining room. Our overall experience was an extremely positive one, would readily recommend to others.
I cannot think of any aspect to criticise.
Very helpful and efficient staff. Comfortable room and secure parking.
We have stayed at Eagle House several times this year, it is very good value, very clean and comfortable. Stayed in 4 different rooms, all are a decent size and the en-suites are good. Parking onsite, unlike some more expensive places.
Not always hot water available early in the morning. Some carpets are awful, but slowly being replaced.
