Helpful staff. Nice quiet room. Great bathroom. The whole picture was right. I ordered the continental breakfast but was very disappointed. A few slices of toast for me is part of an English breakfast and not a continental breakfast. |

Nice reception The room needed cleaning better I counted 5 dead flies in the window. The shower did not seem to be able to be made colder, it was either boiling hot or no shower. The room was stiflingly hot as the heaters were on it seemed constantly, and they had taken the knobs off so you couldn't turn them off at the radiator. It was most unpleasant and if you opened the window to cool it down the loud street noise invaded. The walls are papers thin in the rooms and you could hear actual conversations of the people next door, the floors were very loud and our walls vibrated with the footsteps of next door. The music from the downstairs bar was very loud and went on late into the night making it impossibkle to sleep. |

Clean and comfortable room and surprisingly quiet considering it was busy at the time of my stay and I was placed directly opposite the lift which one might have expected to be noisy. Good location within 10 minutes walk of the city centre. Contrary to other reviews, I found the staff helpful and friendly.Ideal for a no frills but comfortable bed for the night. Gave the impression of having seen better days and a bit lacking in atmosphere. It would have been good if there had been an internet enabled PC available for the use of guests without their own wi-fi laptop. |

Spacious and comfortable room, well decorated common areas (eg bar area). The food was poor, not at all of the level one would expect, even at a mid-range hotel. |

The breakfast both mornings was good I did not care for the entrance lobby, very cold and stark with black and white marble and a very high desk which made writing out a cheque awkward, not very friendly. My room was cold first night however by the second night they had got the heating system working.. |

Comfort of room once upgraded, Location very good and free secure parking at the rear of the hotel. Helpful staff to deal with any problems. Booked a standard room, but upgraded to the new wing as the standard rooms are not refurbished and are very poor. |

I liked the breakfast served at the hotel. I also liked the fact it was so close to the high street of Doncaster. I did not like the fact that my room was very near the function room, and the function went on till 2am. |

interestingly stylish We found the room rather cold and the noisy fan heater did not seem to have much effect. Also, I thought the bathroom (though elegant) held safety hazards - no grab handle or rubber mat in the shower |

Interesting Art Deco hotel, recently restored, well-located for racecourse, football stadium and shopping centre. Comfortable Executive Room at reasonable price. Food quite good but nothing special, staff generally helpful and polite. Lack of comfortable, quiet lounge for guests. |

hotel location was a nice short walk into town with a pleasant park at the rear and wide road/footpath to the front giving a feeling of space. staff not hand-picked for a what should be a classy welcome, needs a more corporate approach. |
