Nice room, evening meal and breakfast were very nice.
Not being able to eat slightly later on one of our nights, but this didn't spoil our stay
All staff were very friendly and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Room was clean and comfortable.
can't think of anything we did't like.
dirty blankets, filthy bathroom, unapproachable staff and unprofessional, breakfast buffet had stains and the full English look greasy.
Very lovely people and excellent breakfast...three days full of relax... Enjoying a full afternoon tea in the lounge area... Cool!
The rooms were very comfortable and cleaned immediately when the room was available. The breakfasts were excellent and so filling we never ate a lunch during our one week stay. The staff was second to none and were always accommodating especially, Debbie, the manager, Carol, who did everything, and the cleaning staff left the rooms impeccably clean.
The facility operates on ground/well water, like most B&B's. There was heavy water usage one morning because of all the rooms had been booked. Unfortunately my wife was stuck in the shower when the water turned off. That was NOT good.
99% was very good Staff friendly and helpful Bed comfortable Quiet Good parking and free Lashings of hot water
Smell of cooking grease throughout the building
Could walk into Banbury. Waitresses friendly
Management did not appear to be interested in accommodating a gluten free diet. Seemed more take it or leave it than warm and welcoming
bathroom cramped, bedroom small, no bath, not open until 4pm
excellent place to stay friendly staff good service excellent food and good breakfast excellent value for money thanks again
Easington Guest House was set in lovely gardens. It is clean and comfortable and has everything you need for an overnights stay.
Old world charm of building with modern facilities. I was poorly for most of my stay and i was looked after as if in my own home. Bathroom was excellent and easy to keep clean when i had made it dirty through my illness. Would go again without a thought. Quiet area even though on main road with town just down the road.
We were recommended to eat at the pickled ploughman pub by the manager Debbie, menu was in the hotel info book. It looked fantastic. Food turned out to be horrible, not the same menu as we saw, just cheap pub grub. Cost us £17 for taxi there and back for food we couldn't,eat! Don,t go to this pub, it's overpriced rubbish.
I liked breakfast in the morning and the lounge with the TV!
A bit too far from the train station if you want to walk, especially with suitcases. Taxi drivers always overcharged me.
Nice dining room and breakfast was good. Good Service
Stayed on main floor and room was average and very cold. It was June and had to ask for heat to be put on.
The look, comfort, cleanliness & the great breakfast.
Main road location was a minus but everythingelse outweighed this
NEVER STAY HERE. After paying 360 pounds for 6 nights here, I was literally KICKED OUT OF MY BED on the day of checkout. I had for some reason, thought check out was 11am on a saturday. It isn't. it is listed as 1030am but the manager or her staff will PHYSICALLY COME IN TO YOUR ROOM. If they find you there (asleep in bed, as I was) they will BANG ON YOUR DOOR LOUDLY AND REPEATEDLY until you re-open it, so that they can tell you to get out. When I explained I mistook the check out time and asked if I could have a quick shower before leaving (I had a 4 hour drive ahead of me, had a long week of work, and had a very late night the night before) I was told if I did I would be charged for an entire extra night! I left at 10:06 and never looked back. Shocking treatment of a paying customer. You are charged an exorbitant amount of money for the equivalent of a dorm room. Your sheets won't be changed. Your room will at best get a tidy. The TV may or may not have reception. It won't have any reception if you use the kettle while watching tv. The kettle is full of limescale. The shower cubicle has mould in the ceiling. They did not turn on the heating and I used a hot water bottle to warm myself at night. There is no closet. I came back one day to find the window of my ground floor room wide open. And on my second to last day I was not even given a replacement towel but had to ask for it. This is not a four star guest house. However, I would have taken all of that on the chin had it not been for the absolutely despicable treatment I received on being quite literally evicted from my bed after spending so much money staying for a week. Following which they had the gall to call me and tell me they wanted to charge me 20 pounds for taking their room key! (I had no desire to take their room key as I would never ever go back there). The key was in fact, left on the door, which, had they ever done a decent clean, they would have easily seen. Don't stay here.
I had a lovely room on the ground floor overlooking the beautiful gardens. The staff were all very lovely and accommodating. My room was compact but had everything I needed. The bed was so comfortable and I had the best few nights sleep ever. The room and bathroom were nice and clean.
Restaurant was advertised on the a board as open between 6.30-8.00 on Sunday night, but when I went down for dinner at 7 it was closed as I was the only resident! There was no offer of sandwiches although they offer this after 4pmas part of the cream tea, and I was advised to go into town to eat. After a full day working, this was the last thing I wanted to do. Breakfast service was very slow and it was a long time before I was acknowledged. I was given 1 slice of toast at a time which was a bit silly as they didn't scrimp on the fry-up. The meals I had in the evening were inconsistent. The pasta dish was delicious but only half the quantity it was on the second day for my colleague. The apple crumble was stone cold yet the custard burned my mouth. Disappointing as delicious. Having said all this, I would stay here again.
Rooms are a decent size, for 2 people, tea coffee facilities were good. The wifi was poor in one half of the room.
Wifi, also breakfast is different times every day.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent too.
The evening meal in the hotel restaurant was ok, but very expensive for what it was.
the shower was good bed very comfortable everything very clean breakfast hot we could not fault any thing
not a thing
Whatever you do, don't cancel, or have to change plans - their refund policy is a big fat NO.
Location is very good, easy walk into town, plus close to Cotswolds,Oxford, etc. The hotel is fine for the money,we would use it again.
Very welcoming and friendly staff, lovely old property, and excellent food.
The manager was nice, she tried to be helpful and offer me another room due to mould smell in the allocated room - Nice curtains. Beautiful building. Stunning old entrance hall, smelt warm and fresh, but this didn't extend to other areas
Far too much dust in corners of common parts. The room smelt of mould from the shower. The bedding was very old, but was clean. Bathroom appeared clean, except for the mould, but due to other areas of dirt, it doesn't inspire confidence. A mattress and pillow cover was added on request and I was told that the mattress had been hoovered also on request. I slept on top of the bed and used my own cover and pillow. No available soya milk despite request on form. So I couldn't be bothered to try breakfast, due to allergy.
