Seriously, this was the worst hostel, facilities-wise, I have *ever* stayed in.
Cleanness: -10; it looks like it was cleaned last before my birth (i'm over 25, fyi): stains on carpets, on walls, on toilets, on sinks, on the floor, so basically everywhere. Facilities: toilets were definitely placed there during the WW2 and never renovated since: dirty, noisy, inconvenient and the bathrooms were cold! There was no toilet paper for days and only 1 day prior to my departure a very pleasant cleaning lady brought it. She was exceptionally pleasant to talk to, btw. Shower: right in the room, can you imagine that? And it was a "power-shower" which worked very sporadically either giving ice-cold or boiling-hot water. Only once have I managed to have a decent shower. Windows covered with stains, beds were ok-ish but the linen was again kinda my age. The kitchen was something I would never enter even if I am paid for it. I was surprised not to see elephants there, let alone cockroaches. The window in one of the toilets was broken and those pieces of broken glass remained on the floor until the day of my departure (I spent 4 nights there). And the worst thing: they never gave us keys. So... imagine it: the pub has one entrance, you go through, then they open another door for you and that's it. In order to get out, you use another door which leads you right to the street and if you want to go to the pub, then you have to go round and enter the pub's entrance. And the pub starts working at 12:00 and there is no-one in the morning. So if you want to leave at 7 and return at 10, you kinda have no choice: should wait till 12:00 and the staff that might let you in. Might, because some of them were unaware of where their keys were. Location: around 10-15 min walk from the tube and you pass the cemetery on your way...
Never again will I stay here.
Room was warm; staff was ok;
