breakfast room the view swimming pool
food choice was a limited on lunch menu. Played golf on a course that was water logged and should not have been open. £30 on a swamp is not good value
The hotel was really clean and my room service meal was delicious. As I was travelling on my own safety was important and I felt completely safe in the hotel. Although it was a rainy weekend, my morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the golf course, had the added.bonus of a herd of grazing deer. Very picturesque!
The hotel is very impersonal, the reception/ bar area is not very welcoming and on the 4 mile walk to my bedroom (that's what it felt like!) not a single picture or ounce of character was to be seen. I also had a problem trying to get dinner when I arrived. The restaurant was full & the receptionist at first refused me room service because I paid with a debit card! My face must have said it all, because he relented. Thank goodness, as the 4 biscuits in my room would not have sufficed. Bed was uncomfortable too.
Everything Will most definitely return to this superbly located hotel!
Large room, lovely bathroom, beautiful view from bedroom balcony. Good choice at breakfast.
Good room size, great view, very comfortable.
The room television has an upper volume limit which makes it difficult to hear on occasions. My partner isn't that keen on sport, so a wider range of TV stations (e.g. "Freeview")would be preferable. A refrigerator in the room would be helpful.
Location, views and facilities all very good. Buffet breakfast was excellent. The general ambiance. Pool area was very good as was the gym. Plenty of parking.
Niggling things in bedroom such as no hooks for anything, handle of shower door was broken, toilet cystern broke. The restaurant was over priced. The pool was pretty cold!
Service staff pool tranquil quiet calm lovely spot
No phone reception whatsoever. Normally would not grumble but I need to stay connected for work. WiFi alternative was not safe or secure at all either and due to the risk of viruses and sensitive business information I was forced to off-line everything! Made me feel stressed out and unable to sleep as I am self-employed and if anything happens when out of the office I lose up to £1800 a day!! Should have been a relaxing stay! Shame. Everything else 10/10
The style of the hotel, facilities and food were very good.
I had to say fair for the cleanliness as wood lice were found in my room, a little more attention to detail required, especially in a hotel of this standing.
Good Gym Nice rooms Great bed
Free room upgrade Very spacious room TV good quality Nice range of complimentary products Excellent facilities
Bathwater not hot enough Breakfast took a long time and was poor.
Room 225 had a beautiful view & the bathroom shower was excellent, food was good and staff were helpful and professional. Value for money. Our room was a good size
My wife & I were in room 225 very clean but the two single beds were too small and therefore uncomfortable.
First class attitude of all the staff no matter their position in the hotel
Air-con in room a little temperamental!
We got our break as a special offer and great service and thoroughly enjoyable.
The state of the toilet on arrival and we were staying for 2 nights but no attempt was made to service the room in any way during our stay. This was reported to reception who apologised. We had stayed twice before but this stay was not as good as previous
Very good and helpful staff, large and cozy room but above all, the food was brilliant and delicious!! Great place to stay and relax.
very spacious and clean room with really comfortable bed. Bathroom a good size and well fitted. Peaceful location and little light pollution , so a restful night's sleep
the public spaces were huge and lacked any personality
Welcome Tranquility View from room Vegetarian sausages Balcony
Only One point - there did not seem enough staff to keep all buffet items at breakfast in stock. One person tying to do it all which meant a wait and slightly cold breakfast.
Room size and gym with pool.
large room, tea facilities, large bathroom, swimming pool and sauna
heating works at least half an hour later than you are in room.. and i couldn't get enough warm in my room.
Good for gym, very new refurb & phone signal in the sticks
I have stopped here before - very good location out in the countryside, Staff are brilliant Joe, Bar and front of house manager ( I think ) is switched on to customers and their needs, Alison in bar area is so attentive and helpful and Christine on reception is friendly lady swimming pool was very nice = had to share it with 3 others though hahah
tried to eat in restaurant, choice was just not to my liking, pork cheek - brill - venison ofal - no thanks just want nice meal and not that pricy = so ate in bar
Location and friendliness of staff
