Room, views, breakfast and swimming pool,
Size of room, quality of bed linen, pool, sauna, steam etc
Spa showers weren't very clean
Size of the room, view of the countryside/grounds from the bar, pleasant staff, lovely spa.
The pillows are a bit uncomfortable!
The stay we had was very good, no problems.
Duvets, teapot, staff, pool, sauna, bar, evening meal....
steam room wasn't great
Comfortable room and balcony. Separate shower, great breakfast, gym and spa excellent
Staff, cleanliness, bar area. Reasonably priced drinks for a hotel which very important. Didn't need to go out and find the nearest pub. Facilities very good. Golf courses Golf club & Golf professional shop very good.
Had 6 rooms booked with you on Friday 29th which was part of a golf break booking of 16 rooms on the 30/31st August with a "golf break company" . We were not too impressed with their breakfast or designated area which a bit like Joe's café. Very surprised with this as everything else very impressive. De Vere needs to address this as I and others would think twice about re-visiting. Usually most guests would expect to have breakfast served in a dining room environment even though it might be a buffet breakfast.
THE SWIMMING POOL
THE RESTAURANT PRICES WERE QUITE HIGH AND WE NHAD TO WAIT A LONG TIME FOR OUR FOOD
Lovely place, helpful staff, clean and specious, in addition gym and swimming pool open till late
accomodation, spacious rooms en bathroom. Some rooms have balcony, looking over golfcource. Parking very practical and big enough. Swimming pool, fitness and sauna space available.
breakfast was the only thing that was not good. No local products or fresch juices. Industrial feeling.. We like also good bread but it was fastbread from supermarket... !!!!!!
the friendlyness of the staff stood out
Perfect position for touring Sussex Lovely view of the surrounding country and golf course Extremely clean and well maintained Food excellent Staff very friendly and helpful Sports facilities excellent especially swimming pool area
Dress code did not seem to be monitored ie scruffy jeans and Tshirts allowed Lack of proper training of new staff ie waiting times for routine service very slow
Large, very clean room with views of the golf courses and surrounding countryside from the balcony. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Very good restaurant serving excellent food. Nice bar and lounge area with all drinks reasonably priced. Lovely swimming pool. Plenty of car parking spaces. Excellent value for money
The ambiance was superb, immediately you enter you feel as though you are on holiday. the rooms were large with lovely views and very comfortable beds. The food was good and the staff customer service was superb which is very rare in the UK. Well done as we don't lavish praise lightly!!
Food choices a bit limited.
Staff - efficient and friendly Location - views to Downs wonderful Accommodation - excellent, lovely room with balcony
I realise this is a golf centre, but a couple of tennis courts would have been nice.
Everything they offered
We didn't have time to stay longer
Great potential, very good gold courses and location in countryside
Very poor customer service for that type of hotel, mixed up rooms, poor restaurant service, they try cram everyone and everything in. Spa closed due to problem, no compensation offered.
this hotel was just great there wasnt one thing i didnt like about it from the food the service it was just perfect
there was not thing to dislike about this place
This hotel is large with great facilities including big clean and comfortable rooms, helpful and friendly staff, excellent parking, and good food. We felt very at home there and will definitely return if we are travelling in the area and also use other hotels in this chain.
Spacious bedroom and excellent bathroom. Evening snack good!
Huge room and bathroom with all amenities. House-keeping even mailed my forgotten phone charger back to me within 24 hours - very impressed!
There was nothing to fault. Accommodation excellent, view excellent, staff excellent, golf course excellent. Will be back.
Lovely spacious clean air conditioned room. Loved the bar & breakfast on the terrace in the sun with a lovely view was fab.
That we did'nt get a chance to use the facilities such as the spa, but that was our fault as only there for one night at a wedding.
If you are looking for somewhere that is in the heart of East Sussex, offers peace and quiet in a friendly and rural setting, Is grand without being overbearing I heartily recommend the East Sussex National Hotel, Golf and Spa. From the moment we turned through the gates, drove down the long drive to the complex through to the final day after we left, then used the spa and the pool facilities it continued to be probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in, in the UK. A pure simplistic feel good factor that settled us immediately. The great open foyer with the black and white photos of the good and the famous, the grand piano, the fantastic views over the international golf course from our bedroom and the bar, restaurant and lounges created a vista that surpassed any preconceived expectations. We have a small home but even so the bathroom at the East Sussex National that was a wet room was bigger than our spare bedroom! The staff were great too. We understood that there were corporate do's and a wedding the same weekend and we were all treated with courtesy, efficiency and friendliness. No problem was too big to overcome, all done within minutes. Ben made sure we were settled in. Holly and Kathie looked after our food and drink needs. Would I recommend the East Sussex National Hotel to anyone else? You're damn right I would. Would I give it five stars? Six or more if I could. Will we be staying again. We live in south Wales, my family are in East Sussex. We have been looking for somewhere to stay near Uckfield for ages. We will be back.
There is nothing we did not like. It was an absolutely wonderful experience.
Setting and facilities excellent, spa pool fantastic and the staff there were very welcoming indeed. Cleanliness of the pool and spa areas was very high. Breakfast high quality, hotel staff very accommodating. Air con in room very welcome.
No real dislikes but beds a little 'bumpy'.
