Breakfast was pretty good, particularly on Sunday. Value was fairly good. I had problems with my room which turned out to be the wrong one. The shower dripped constantly for the first night keeping me awake, and a baby in the room above woke me at 3.00 am and 5.00 am. However I was moved into the correct room and the next night was better. |

We have stayed at this hotel several times. Since our last visit, there has been some refurbishment - our bathroom was better than we have had in the past. |

The staff were helpful, had a sense of humour, and the service was efficient without being officious The room we had was on the annexe, upstairs, the staircase leading to the upstairs had signs of wood rot on the bannister rail. |

Room was comfortable and the full English breakfast was excellent. Very convenient for Scarborough if you do not want to stay in town. The decorations are getting very tired and the room and corridor outside smelt of cooking - probably because the kitchen was underneath and the windows were open. |

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the old part of the hotel looked pleasant. The rooms were dark and dismal. Facilities were poor, especially as there was a wedding reception and the staff were tied up catering for it, hence no evening meal or lounge facilities. |

Attend show at the Spa Theatre in Scarborough. Visit Whitby and surrounding beauty spots. Visit friends Not advised that we could make booking for DB&B. Rooms are dark and mostly in annex . Not advised that there was a wedding in Hotel at same time as our visit which restricted use of dining room |

The friendly greeting was a great start to a short weekend.Even though there was a wedding on it was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was delicious even though we were so eager that we got there 15 minutes early! We were greeted in a friendly manner and were shown to a table and made most welcome to start our breakfast!!Altogether a good 24 hours stay but we do intend to return for a long weekend. |

The food was excellent and good value for money. It was nice to have a big space for the children to run round. The family room we used (Room 3) did not have a shower, due to the fact it was in the attic (!), there should have been a tap attachment in the room but wasn't. We were told that all of the other family rooms did have showers. The TV was outdated and there was no remote control |

The grounds and buildings were pretty and clean. The staff were friendly. They kept the bar open well after their licensed closing time for us. The breakfast filled a hole. The TV didn't work, because the aerial was poor. The beer was £3 per pint. |

The room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of foods. Fight between two locals in the garden who were drinking in the bar unsettled our children and other residents. Although this was out of the control of the hotel, we were concerned that there were not enough staff on hand to deal with the situation. |

Hotel staff were very polite, helpfull and friendly. . It could do with a better tv signal and more channels. Change time for breakfast for a later time like 9:30 to 10:30 as I hate being up early when I am on holiday. |
