Very quiet location but quite near to Scarborough too. Lovely area for walking on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Would stop there again. Staff are friendly and welcoming and breakfast was excellent. The rooms are in an annex next to the main building and if you are on the ground floor there is creaky floor boards above and you can hear people talking so would ask for a upstairs room next time.

The staff were excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a lovely location and is a lovely building. The vegetarian menu was extremely limited and the food was vastly expensive for what you were given. The hotel interior decor was shabby and could do with updating.

A nice quiet, secluded location. It was nice to be away from the bustle of city life yet close to interesting attractions. We were very impressed with the help we received from a young man in reception one night of our stay. The squeaking floor boards over head.

The location was very good I would like to know what the rooms in the house were like.the best thing was the breakfast and the food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.I would stay there again. I think the hotel could do with a redecoration to perk it up a bit.l

Lovely hotel set in lush green countryside. The decor in the bedrooms was a bit dated and could do with some new paper and soft furnishings. However, the bedroom and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfy. The lounge, bar and dining area in the hotel were very modern and had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast menu was great as there was plenty to choose from, although the cooked breakfast would have been improved if it included hash browns and baked beans. Above all a very pleasant stay and we would definately consider staying there again. The hotel was situated about 4 miles from the centre of Scarborough so having a car was essential, and could be problematic for customers who do not drive. The rooms could certainly do with an update as our room appeared to resemble the style of two decades ago.

The staff were very friendly and yet not intrusive. The breakfast was excellent. I would have liked a shower that can be attached to the wall so that I could have a conventional shower as opposed to sitting in the bath and holding the shower head.

Receptionist come everything else was such a lovely, helpful person; nothing was too much trouble. The food is exceptional for a 3 star restaurant. It needs a bit of maintenance, not much. It really wouldn't cost much to make the rooms much better. Eg. re-grout the bathroom and mend the broken door. Shame to let it go for such a small expense.

Staff were very helpful, and friendly. I was put in a fantastic room above the garden and the room had everything I could have needed. Breakfast was fantastic and evening menu looked nice - arrived late so didn't eat. Will certainly book again for leisure with family and try the food. All round a lovely hotel which I would recommend.
