Great location worth paying a little extra for a balcony. Spacious well appointed single room. Friendly staff
Luke warm breakfast
The location of the hotel is excellent. My single room was a decent size, quiet and very clean. I had a wonderful view of the pier and seafront. There was a wide selection of cold food at the buffet breakfast.
The hot buffet breakfast was not as good as when I had stayed there before. They no longer had fried bread and hash browns (toast does not go well with my fried egg). The food was only tepid. One morning fresh bacon was put out by the girl from the kitchen. I took some immediately and was surprised to find this was cold. Please make the hot breakfast better again.
Alround good trip

Immaculately decorated and furnished bed and bathroom with balcony. Quiet but sea front location. Parking for £1 a day. Comfortable public lounge. Helpful staff.
Lovely friendly staff, cleanliness and sea view.
Breakfast was just warm and struggled to cope with numbers
the view says it all simply superb
I likled it all the location the food and of course our beautiful bedroom cant wait to go back
Ideal position for pier, shops, restaurants, local theatres. Very comfortable accommodation, lovely room. Friendly staff and the breakfast is excellent with good choice. Ticks all the boxes for a great break.
no negative comments at all
I loved the location and the fact that our room had a usable balcony which was a stone throw away from the sea was amazing. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxed, the staff are extremely helpful and polite, the rooms are beautifully decorated and my general feeling was that I didn't want to leave.
I only have one little gripe, the breakfast room is a bit dated with cumbersome, mismatching seats and if you sat near the buffet then you were always being brushed by people going past. Also they ran out of certain things like mushrooms but the continental breakfast was good. Lastly, although the service was ok, it would have been better if all the waiting staff had been more consistent in terms of English speaking and taking customer breakfast orders in a more methodical way. Having said that, I never left breakfast feeling hungry
Hotel location, good breakfast, places of interest tovisit
The weather, it rained!!!
This hotel is in a great location. Reception staff excellent will help you with everything you require to make your stay enjoyable. Behind the scenes staff excellent.
Staff helpful & friendly
Hot Breakfast items were constantly running low with long waits for refills
good location friendly staff breakfast food quite good and tasty
complimentary water would be a nice touch. chairs in bar area not very comfy TV on in bar area continuously
Facilities and excellent, plentiful breakfast
Lack of parking spaces
Massive room, good facilities
Lack of parking spaces
Nice sized room with sea view. Modern and comfortable. Powerful shower. Huge bed. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean.
The breakfast. Buffet style and the food did not look appetising.
The Eastbourne Centre is now 'The View'. The bar has been revamped and there is a new improved bar menu. Probably the best rooms in Eastbourne.
Some of the B&B's nearby I have stayed in do not charge for the parking vouchers. No complimentary bottles of water in the room, no tissues or cotton pads. Restaurant menu poor.
Staff are all great - friendly and helpful - hotel management has strengthened its anti-smoking policy - great 1970's décor - rooms are exceptionally well maintained to keep the original decorations in the original perfect condition - there is a pride at this hotel that is reflected well in the staff, the hotel amenities and building maintenance. You really can't go wrong staying at The View, really.
The furnishings, really impressive. Staff very helpful.
Missed. having no heated towel rail in the bathroom!
Location of hotel and view from our balcony. Staff more than helpful, even though they had put us in wrong room, but moved us quickly
Told what table to sit at, at breakfast, then having our Crockery taken from our table, admitted it was not being used, but an "excuse me" from the waitress, wouldn't of gone a miss. She had other tables empty that she could of taken this from,
I took my disabled mother for the weekend and the disabled facilities within the hotel were superb. The staff were very attentive and caring. They made our stay very memorable. We will return.
