We booked the hotel as a last minute pre-christmas getaway. The reviews were good but i often take these with a pinch of salt, however, the reviews were spot on! Martin (the owner) greeted us at our convenience and was extrememly polite and helpful. We had the superior room and were more than happy with it. The room was warm and clean with a lovely en-suite. The sky tv was a bonus! The location was superb and a space for the car really appreciated. I'd certainly recommend the Eastbourne to anyone wanting a nice B&B thats more traditional of the lakes! |

We found the Guest house really welcoming and friendly. Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast time very organised. Only one thing, and it's very slight. The sausages at breakfast didn't look cooked to me. I presume they really were as they look like they done in a grill, but the look of them did put me off ever so slightly. Other than that it was delicious. |

Room was very clean, but en suite quite claustrophobic ,could have made the room a little smaller as it was a good size to allow bit more space in en suite. Martin who ran the place was informative and helpful.Breakfast was a bit regimented I felt and quiet,a little low level music or radio would have made the difference ,and also breakfast was very early with no flexibility. All over it was a nice place to stay due to cleanliness and locality as it is very close to all the shops and amenities of Bowness just a two minute walk and ten minutes to the lake. |

Every attention paid to comfort and cleanliness and our requests were well met. Very well appointed and furnished room (Room 7) - and every room is, apparently, individual in its decor and furnishings, etc. The owners obviously take great pride in their refurbishments and renovations - and good quality prevailed throughout, from linen to table settings/furnishings. Breakfast options were plentiful and excellently cooked and presented, with local produce well promoted. |

Good accommodation - breakfast cooked well and good variety of foods No bedside cabinets .Staff in bit of flap -requested vegetarian breakfast for second day but order forgotten. Everything was not explained about room on arrival eg how to control shower temperature and almost got scalded however manager did apologize and said he was going to write out instructions and leave in room. |

The staff were excellent and always happy to help. Rooms were always clean and very well looked after and comfortable. Off road parking was a bonus as was breakfast every morning. The lake is about 10mins walk away with the only downside being the hill on the way back! |

Lovely warm welcome from Martin, had an upgrade from our booked superior room to their new King room, which was absolutely lovely with a huge bed & quality furnishings & luxury shower room. Home cooked breakfast was gorgeous. Cleanliness was excellent & Martin couldn't do enough to help, always available to give information on the local are or answer any queries you may have. Will definateley be returning to this well run guest house, fully deserving of its 4 stars in this beutiful area again. |
