Extremely welcoming &a friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Very considerate & thoughtful. Breakfast was the best! Excellent! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Nothing I didnt like. It was all great.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, everything was clean and fresh and breakfast was good, plenty of variety to choose from.
Only one small issue, we did not have the wi-fi access code.
very friendly and helpfull. very clean. excellent choice at breakfast.nice and quiet.
Bed was a bit hard. but could be personal taste.
Free parking, friendly and helpful staff, at discounted rate (winter) great value for money, good breakfast, adequately equipped room.
Temp regulation of the shower in "lighthouse" room is not OK, needs fixing. Soundproofing is not great but understandable for old building.
The extra mile our kind hosts went to accommodate our dietary needs and flexibility in check out time.
I was yet again delighted by the warm welcome and excellent facilities. We had a fabulous room with accommodation I would associate with a top hotel rather than a guesthouse. The breakfasts are exceptional and the lounge a great place to relax out of your room, watch the tv or read on of the books available.
Nothing, it is a great place to stay and we will go again.
A friendly welcome on arrival, with word of free wifi & a matching & good sized breakfast to look forward to in the morning.
The Lilliputian sized room left walk spaces similar to a 'hoarder's' home, the bathroom was the size on a motorhome, & the free wifi was also minute in bandwidth! But over all that, was the Siberian cold! Compounded by the near-single glazing, with a faulty closure, which meant condensation on the inside of the glass! Woeful quilt on the bed & NO heating on thru the night (at the end of DEC!) & no additional covers supplied! the heating came on for about an hour at dawn, then was off again by the time we checked out at 10:30am! But for us having stayed with family the night before, we would have had NO sleep at all & may have ended up hyperthermic statistics! Our last memories of being as cold were when caught out by weather, while camping! We're both suffering horrendous colds a fortnight after leaving, so a memorable stay indeed!
Wi-Fi. Cleanliness. Comfort. Breakfast quality and choice. Friendliness of owners who went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed.
Size of en-suite, which was very small and not very private as it only had a flimsy sliding and unlockable door. To be fair though, the new owners had only recently taken over and have lots of plans to improve on what's there.
We just stayed a night, but it was simply wonderful. When we arrived we received such a warm welcome. The room we got was quiet, clean and spacious. And the breakfast set us up for the day. We'll definitely stay here again if we come back to Eastbourne.
Parking area. Close to Town.
Some rooms nicer than others. Needs updating but new owners are in process of refurbishment.
Alison , the new owner was very helpful and admitted they had some work to do to modernise the place a bit. Very well priced with breakfast thrown in too !!
Top of the list should be the wi-fi, it was hopeless and these days its a necessity, go for it Alison. Apart from that it was a very pleasant stay.
The room was a good size for a single.lovely tv and nicely furnished. The staff were nice and Kevin and Jane his wife were great although they were relief managers as I understand the hotel was being sold and new owners about to take over.
The bed which was worn out. the mattress was very noisy due to creaking springs which dug into me.when I mentioned this they put a mattress topper on which slightly improved things but not a lot.
Dining room was good so was breakfast.
romm was not up to a very high standard very little hot water, you got some after a long wait, room was very dated looked grubby.
Very friendly staff and the food was excellent
I am 5'11" but when the quilt was around my shoulders my feet were totally uncovered and the bathroom was very cramped.
The hotel was ideally located only a few minutes walk from the pier. The hotel had car parking which is often dificult in Eastbourne. The staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The location, just across the road from the beach The veggy breakfast was good The shower was hot
The pillows were very flat and we stupidly should have asked for another 2 each! The veggy breakfast lacked veggy sausages
Breakfast was everything you could want, all fresh and well served. "Caretaker" staff were welcoming and helpful. Made us feel at home. Rooms were clean, well decorated and beds were very comfortable.
Climb up lots of stairs! Room on the small side with tiny en suite.
Kevin was a great host and very welcoming. I understand he was covering for the weekend and he made our stay very comfortable. Thank you
Shower kept changing from hot to cold.
It was close to the sea. Good price for what seemed to be a busy period
Very tight shower space. Lumpy single bed
Location and staff
Quality of breakfast is overrated and the insulation in rooms is typical for this type of properties.
Vgood breakfast larger room better and more comfortable good location
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, bright rooms, excellent choice of breakfast, convenient location for all amenities, good value for money. I will certainly try to stay there again when I next visit Eastbourne.
The mattress was uncomfortable and creaked every time I moved and for that reason I slept fitfully. That would be my only complaint.
The manager of the hotel was extremely kind and went out of his way to help you.
I didn't like the sink was next to my bed and not in the bathroom
Good breakfast and variety. Clean and good quality bed linen provided for baby together with travel cot. Car parking space was available.
The room hadn't been cleaned and vacuumed for sometime. No teabags and milk had to ask for them to be supplied.
The breakfast was lovely, they did a vegetarian One at short notice, nice place to stay. Just in the right location for us.easy parking also.:)
Bed mattress was a little to soft:(
