We booked a double/twin room but on arrival was offered a family room which was excellent, plenty of space, good sized wardrobes and bathroom. Plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu and the food was excellent. Good spacious dining area. Staff are very helpful and polite. Very pleased with the hotel and enjoyed our short break.
Nothing springs to mind, a very pleasant hotel.
The Staff were very polite. The Service was very good, if you asked for something like bacon with scrambled eggs you got it, nothing was too much trouble. They also did a very good English Breakfast.
The Shower in Bath inadequate and not safe. The Beds creaky and not supported. Needs new Beds
Friendly and caring staff nothing was too much for them when asked for anything Convenient location Not too expensive
Everything was ok
Good food (breakfast) Friendly staff Good location Great value
Basic small room but good value Curtain didn't cover all of the window
-not having to self serve breakfast - excellent location - breakfast staff pleasant - stairs very easily negociated, world's smallest lift!!
- shower barely serviceable and for disabled traveller not at all, no grab bars. - sounds travelled from room overhead and hallway outside room.typical of old buildings
I have stayed here on several occasions and I'm impressed every time. Really bargain for money hotel. Will definitely be back.
Nothing to dislike.
Breakfast was very good
We were led to believe that there was entertainment on in this hotel which isn't true This is why we booked this hotel
Comfortable room & excellent choices for breakfast
When I was trying to get to sleep I could hear other bedroom doors banging shut.
We liked the food at breakfast, the service was good. Good location.
Room a little small.
Really good location on beach front, a short walk to Eastbourne main shopping area, An even shorter walk to the best watering hole in town (The Marine).
Lovely breakfast loads to eat. Close to the beach & shops
The curtain ( as in only one!) Was at least two foot to short for the window and as the bed faced the window it let a lot of light in. Not good for sleeping. They have a TJ Hughes in Eastbourne which do cheap good curtains so why not buy some? The hotel has a lot of marble flooring so feels cold nowhere to sit and chill.
Hard working staff, fantastic breakfast, excellent hotel
girls at desk not very friendly
The staff were all friendly & helpful
Breakfast was good, portion size was generous. Beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful.
Requested a room with a seaview. Although we had this the view was very restricted by the balcony. Room wasn't vacuumed on a daily basis. At night hotels colour changing light display disturbed sleep. We had booked a three night stay, breakfast on two of those days was disappointing as hot breakfast was brought to table before having finished cereal stage. We are not particularly slow eaters.
Tasty, freshly cooked food. Friendly and helpful staff. Communal areas modern and clean.
Drab khaki decor in single room and I prefer a duvet to a blanket.
I liked the décor the friendly staff and the location.
There was nothing that I did not like about my stay.
The room was Filthy .hairs every where.urine on tiles.bed sheets had not been changed.carpet was disgusting. A disaster.
Parking tokens for hotel guests for whole days. Location
Room 130 was too hot when we arrived and the windows could only be openned a little. Food was only average.
Staff very friendly Quality of breakfast good Location good
The room cleaning very poor Shower not working properly TV in the room very basic Tow good size rooms on the ground floor full of tables and chairs no lounge seating to rest no entertaining and TV never on very unhappy with my stay I was expecting more from a seaside front Hotel I will not recommend to a friend
Very friendly staff and a good place to stay
The location was perfect the staff couldn't do enough for you the breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. We will be staying there again very soon.
The only thing was if you were going for entertainment there isn't any in the evening. However we were going for a rest and relaxing so was quite pleased it was quite.
Doors shut at 11 Flashing lights outside window Doors slamming all night
