The hotel has a splendid staff and a fine location; the rooms are perfectly good value, price considering; the self-service, traditional buffet breakfast is a gourmet's dream - worth the price alone.
Front reception and meals were ok. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The room we were put in had heating on full blast with no way of turning it off. We opened the windows not realising that the road just outside was the main road behind the hotel that led into town. We had teenagers and cars going up and down all night till nearly 5.00 in the morning. So it was either boil all night or listen to screaming shouting and roaring engines. Plus someone had been sick and the smell was wafting in through the window. We were on the first floor. The mattresses on the bed were so poor you could feel and hear the springs creaking every time you moved. Old thin pillows were used and I have never stayed in a hotel where the curtains don't fit. They hung down the middle of the windows with large gaps at the sides and didn't even reach the windowsill. We did not sleep at all. We will never recommend this hotel.
Welcoming staff. Polite and courteous staff. Great bar prices. Great meal prices. Very comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast. All in all, wonderful value for money.
Good location and parking for £1 for 24 hours
Beds squeeked, shower door was hanging off, shower drain smell, carpets felt dirty. On checking out when I mentioned the shower door the owner Vladimir told me it's a big hotel so hard to keep up with everything
Nice clean comfortable hotel . Good breakfast !
Cannot fault it - staff were polite and attentive . Food was excellent. Hotel near the town and promenade. Railway station not too far away. Eastbourne has an excellent shopping centre
Nothing to say
Location - sea front
Room odour and general cleanliness
Lovely clean room. Good value as it included breakfast. Inviting reception area.
Walls thin. Very noisy person in room next door. Could hear them open and shutting drawers constantly, and general noise. Also when checked in only 1 member of staff serving meals, making coffees and booking in guests. I arrived at 7.45 and waited for at least 15 mins to be checked in! Infact i was going to have a meal, but by time i was checked in, was too late as last orders were 8pm. So that was disappointing.
Exterior, location, food, service and public areas
Service was very good and very friendly bar and eating area were very clean
Shower was so small infact very small room was very dull hotel was very very noisy
Good location for the town and the sea front. Reception area which also served as the bar and dining area were very tastefully decorated. It was bright and welcoming due the the glass rotunda. Full English breakfast was included and was very good and freshly cooked as you could see into the kitchen...always a good sign.
The bathroom which was very nicely tiled was let down by not enough towel rails to hang bath and hand towels although there was room and the elderly shower attatcment on the mixer bath towels was a let down.. Because of the location of the hotel there can be some noise from inconsiderate people returning from an evening out.
Everything about the hotel. We will return
Having to park away from hotel on first night due to fireworks and bonfire....
Clean rooms Near Pier Friendly staff Light and airy reception
Could use a newer mattress.
ideal location room was adequate for a weekend away break, breakfast was great
Access to our room was a bit up and down having to use 2 different staircases after the lift, shower had seen better days but did the job, parking is a bit of a nightmare but get a permit from the hotel loads cheaper.
The parking facility was excellent. Very bright and clean reception .come breakfast area. The staff were very polite and helpful. We would like to return again soon.
The helpfulness of the staff.
Paper thin walls, had to listen to next room's tv until 2am.
Room very small. Not enough milk for decent coffee.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy with a £1.00. scratch card. Breakfast was excellent and quickly served. The entrance hall and cafe were sparkling you felt that you could eat off of the floor. Lovely.
Cleanliness, everything looked freshly painted Comfortable bed Great breakfasts Didn't have an evening meal, but what we saw looked good quality and plenty of it.
The layout of the tables and chairs in the dinning room/ lounges could be planned better. The shower could run hot or cold while using it.
staff very helpful; very clean;very restfull would visit again
the really friendly staff, very clean areas, towels, bed linen(cotton sheets, pillowcases) changed daily. Good breakfast menu, auto lighting when dark/or in dark areas, out of the front door cross the road and you are on the sea front, perfect location!
i have only one gripe and this is a repeat complaint as last year (stayed in lewes) and they use the same brand this is the "lychfield" brand and it concerns the tea,it is awful,it is just like those tea bags found in supers you know 28pence for 80 bags......
