Score from 83 reviews Very good
Comfortable, owners friendly attentive and helpful without being intrusive, lovely homely cottage, excellent breakfast, came away feeling thoroughly rested and relaxed, lots of walking and cycling potential in the area.
A very warm welcome from the hosts and spaniel. The room was immaculate and had lots of lovely touches, including homemade cake on arrival. Ideal location for lots of lovely walks and a pub offering good grub just a minutes walk away
Only booking one night...!!
Jan and Eric made us feel at home in their very old home set in a quiet village. Very comfortable room and a great breakfast. Cose to a good local pub where we had true Yorkshire ale and nice food. Excellent advice re things to do and see and how to get their. The suggestion to visit Reeth and then the Buttertubs Pass was a good one - we enjoyed both. Thanks Eric.
All good and nothing to complain about.
Warm welcome with scones, jam and cream, excellent choice of home made foods for breakfast, clean comfortable room, lovely secluded back garden to sit out in, fresh flowers in rooms, hosts and dog very friendly and helpful - they couldn't do enough to help you where necessary.
Nothing at all.
Lovely quiet village location with a gorgeous cottage garden.En suite room very comfortable with thoughtful touches with lovely decor. Superb cooked breakfast with an abundance of homemade bread and preserves . Cannot rate our hosts highly enough either . A real gem in every way.
Jan & Eric are so friendly & welcoming. The room is spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Lovely warm welcome with tea and scones. Anything you might need is thoughtfully & graciously provided. Fresh flowers, homemade jams, delicious breakfast using local produce. Fantastic B&B!
That we were only staying one night! It's a great place to stay.
The warm welcome from hosts and dog. They treat you as a friend and will put themselves out for you. A nice homely atmosphere and anyone who found fault staying here are at fault themselves.
Everything very friendly
Jan and Eric made us feel at home as soon as we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb and bed extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this to anyone so would our dog.
Jan and Eric are lovely, interesting and funny people who go all out to make your stay enjoyable. They have thought of all of those special touches from a beautiful room, great local info, a huge variety of hot drinks, home made food on arrival and breakfast, a fridge for all of your Wendslydale cheese and many stories about the local area. I arrived a stranger but left feeling like a friend. I hope they have a very successful venture and enjoy their new challenge.
Lovely hosts, did everything they could to make you feel at home even giving me a homemade cream tea on the Sunday. Nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast, home made bread, eggs from their own hens. Would highly recommend this B&B, Lovely cottage garden.
Nothing to dislike
We arrived at the cottage and were greated by the couple who own the property. They were very welcoming and friendly throughout the whole stay. Very helpful in things do and places to go. Will happily stay there again without hesitation.
Jan and Eric were delightful. They could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. The room was spacious and fully equipped and the breakfasts were wonderful. The village, Bellerby, is very small, but Leyburn is only two miles away and has many nice restaurants and two grocery stores.
We didn't like that we had go on to our next destination and couldn't stay longer.
Very comfortable place to stay with good facilities & more. Lovely, friendly hosts who made us very welcome. Nice to have somewhere to sit in the room too. The breakfast was excellent, quality ingredients, home made jams etc. homemade cake on arrival was lovely too A fridge outside the room with real milk ( not hot horrid uht cartons) & somewhere to keep produce from the food festival. The local pub 2mins walk, handy for substantial home cooked food & reasonable drinks.
No wifi in room (advertised) although it was offered in the dining room. Room is actually within the hosts house (family bedroom above) - ad suggests a separate annex, although there is an entrance to the house/room without going through the hosts own rooms. Not a problem...just different to what was expected from the advert.
What a perfect place to stay!!!...from the moment we arrived Jan and Eric were so welcoming and made us feel so at home. The room was fantastic, and there was everything you could possibly need in it and then some,it was beautifully decorated and was ver clean,I can not fault any thing at all.we had a brilliant weekend and can't wait to go back in August..definitely a 10/10 you would be crazy not to stay here. P.s Jan makes the best bacon buttys you will ever have.
Eastbrook Cottage was a perfect base for exploring the dales and the owners Jan and Eric could not have been more welcoming and helpful. breakfasts were great with homemade jams and fresh eggs from their hens. The pub in the village (Cross Keys) does good honest pub grub or there are plenty of choices in nearby Leyburn.
Very pleasant atmosphere, lovely and clean recently refurbished room & en-suite. Friendly welcome but not intrusive. We took our dog and she was also well catered for. Located in a small village but a good base for touring the beautiful dales in the area. Excellent breakfast too!
Cottage sign was not highly visible from road, so spent a few extra minutes trying to find it, but once there we were delighted with everything.
Fabulous room and most welcoming hosts. Great value for money
Nothing to dislike
I loved the personal touches, flowers in the room, local information, lemon drizzle cake, and homemade bread and jam. I felt very welcomed and it felt like home from home. Thank you for such a personal stay. Carol
Delightful accommodation Attention to detail Dog friendly Pleasant decor Friendly welcome Excellent food
you'd be crazy not to stay here... we stayed for 2 nights in Jan 2014, the bad weather hampered our stay activity wise but this b&b was fab - Jan & Eric gave us a lovely warm welcome and are an extremely friendly couple who have great knowledge of the area too which really helps if your stuck for ideas - no Bates motel here! Our room was very spacious, pretty and very clean - have stayed in leyburn in other hotels and have found that rooms for same rate are dated and small.. ensuite again was spotless had everything you needed.. you can arrange a time for breakfast and you have the choice of fruit juices, cereals and a full English.. this is a lovely B&B you must try it and would be a great base for your country adventures and you can always finish off in the local The Cross Keys so no worries about driving back/taxis as its just down the road - the only downside is you won't want to leave and it will make you want to 'up sticks' and move to the country!! The room was just what we needed; cosy, warm, clean with lovely furnishing, plus little thoughtful touches like homemade cookies and local maps to ponder over. Tea and cake on arrival in a beautiful kitchen. Stove was on and a they have a lovely little dog to pat! The whole family made us feel so welcome and gave us a great pub recommendation, The Bolton Inn at Redmire. The Reeth circular walk was another great recommendation. Thanks for a perfect stay.
