My mother and I had all our expectations fully met .... we first stayed five years ago and were equally impressed this time as we were then; we felt very welcome and very comfortable in a very homely atmosphere - room was comfortable and more than suited our purpose, breakfast was great - everything we could have asked for and more. We would certainly hope to stay here again when we're next i that part of the world.
Quite a thin wall between us and the room next door ... on the first night I was slightly disturbed by snoring and, on the second night, we could hear the 'phone conversations the occupant was having, Very minor concerns in the overall scheme of things!
Attentiveness of proprietor, without being in one's face. Nothing too much trouble
Comfy bed Good food tea and scones .Excellent breakfast.
Had e mailed we could arrive late but was earlier and no one to let us in no contact number and waited nervously for nearly a hour.
We ate at the Mill in Rode, which was recommended. It was a lovely setting, the food was very good with locally sourced meats and the staff was very friendly.
For two people, we were provided a double bed which was very uncomfortable for two adults. The noise from the nearby road was very loud with the windows open. We had an uneasy feeling about the whole place and did not feel welcome. Can't really put our finger on it, since it was nothing overt, but it all seemed odd and "off." Breakfast was adequate, although I swear the eggs which were supposed to be local, were powdered (we were given no option other than scrambled). For what we paid, compared to other B and B's and hotels for the price, the value was extremely poor.
Quiet comfortable home Welcome cream tea Lovely breakfast
twin room was more spacious and looked out over fields at the back of the house
double room was very small and quite noisy with the window open as near main road
Lovely owners - caring and very attentive. Generous breakfast with toast, cereal and full English with posh sausages cooked to order. Loved waking up hearing the farm animals and they have the cutest dogs. Highly recommended thank you for the lovely stay xxx
breakfast, down to earth people, comfortable and clean lots of animals1
the road was a bit noisy
very friendly welcome, comfortable and a great breakfast
a bit of noise from the road
Convenience for area Friendliness of owner Breakfast Comfortable bed
Room a bit small
Friendly owner. Fresh eggs from the neighbour's hens. Quiet location.
Small room. No shower, just shower attachment on the bath.
Breakfast was delicious!
Tea and scones on arrival.
I liked everything except cycling on the main A road
Real coffee and warm fresh scones with jam when we had settled in. Lovely sitting room and a really great breakfast.
arrived before time I stated and had to wait in car for some time. Room a little on the small side.
wonderful place, highly reccommend it!
Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very tasty and we even got offered a cook breakfast using their local fresh products on top of the continental breakfast. They have nice animals around the house and the environment feels very homely and comfortable.
Very quirky and homely, fabulous breakfast and very friendly hosts.
Excellent breakfast. Cosy atmosphere. Little sitting room to use in evening when kids in bed

Friendly hostess. warm welcome with tea and scones. Lovely countryside setting.
Warm welcome with tea&scones on arrival. Perfect set up for us - single and double room with connecting private bathroom. Great location for exploring Bath and Longleat. Scrummy breakfast. Spotlessly clean & lovely decor. Great 2 night stay - will be returning!
The friendliness of the greeting on arrival, a 1st class breakfast, there was nothing that would not have been done if requested, would recommend to all traveling in this area if Wiltshire to call and rest. The greeting received by the dogs was just wonderful.
Friendly owner. Cream tea on arrival and great choice for breakfast. Close to Longleat safari park.
Shower attached to bath with no curtain. Some noise, late and early as the owner lives on lower floor.
A very good breakfast. Local free range eggs!
We found the owners very friendly and were greeted with tea and scones, which really made us feel at home. The double room we booked had a separate private bathroom, everything was clean. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to eat and drink. Definitely worth what we paid.
The only criticism we have is that the bedding was worn and faded but that did not detract from our enjoyment of our stay.
Friendly and very adequate.
