Eastbury Hotel  

I liked the comfortable bed and duvet.

I didn't like the food – I thought it was faux-trendy and way overpriced. There was no attempt to include many organic fresh vegetables on the menu. Everything in the breakfast room was sweetened with sugar / loaded with fat. I asked for nondairy milk for porridge, and was told they had soymilk. However, they brought the porridge made with water and told me they had no soymilk. It was pretty inedible. Also, I was concerned about noise from the road in my room, and was told by the receptionist that there was little traffic down it, but that was not the case, and I was awoken early by vehicle noise.

It's a nice small hotel located a few minutes walk from the town of sherborne.

I didn't like the bedroom being on the front as there was traffic. The bathroom was very cramped and the water pressure for the shower was appalling.

We had an excellent stay with the eastbury for a sibligs reunion. We had a delicious meal, which though rather expensive, was superb. Our breakfasts also were beautifully cooked and presented, delivered to our table by our efficient and friendly waiter - alan. A nice little garden enables a welcome breath of fresh air, with car parking secreted behind the garden wall. Fashionable shops, gift shops, good food shops and two supermarkets are easily accessible. Two castles, the abbey, a wealth of historic buildings all on the doorstep. Fancy a curry we recommend the Paprika.

Only one of my sisters was a little unhappy with noise from the rooms above. However the staff promised next time she stays they will accommodate here in the ´stables´.

The restaurant was relaxed and welcoming and the food very good. I also liked the building which was attractive and full of character.

My single room was too small and rather chilly - the heating was not on.

The location of Eastbury was excellent.. the staff were very friendly.. the rooms were clean and beautifully presented.. the food was lovely including the breakfast ( although slightly too much cheese on the cheese and ham board).. The garden was a beautifully peaceful place to sit!

First room offered had lovely bathroom but bedroom claustrophobic with frosted windows and velux roof window on a hot day.

It's a quaint little retreat in the heart of the countryside. The breakfast was delicious.

There was nothing I didn't like. The welcome at the door was delightful, the restaurant staff very attentive and considerate, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, the room was homely, warm and luxurious

Изысканный отель в английском стиле. Номер люкс достаточно просторен. Ресторан высокой кухни имеет открытую площадку во внутреннем дворике, он, очевидно, популярен среди местной публики.

Ванная комната со скошенным потолком, поэтому невозможно принимать душ стоя. Здание очень старое, наверное, поэтому в ванной пахнет сыростью.

Good food & service

Found the bath water very difficult to control & slow running.

Lovely room and great service.

Shower pressure very low due to the room's position at the very top of the building.
