Eastbury Hotel  

Very welcoming, very comfortable and well placed for visiting the Sherborne town centre. Good value for money

The food was excellent, if a bit rich for an octogenarian!

Very comfortable, high quality market town hotel. We stayed in single rooms and the beds were very comfortable. Rooms spotless. The receptionist & service at breakfast was friendly, helpful and professional. I will definitely return.

Chintzy sitting room isn't everyone's taste but it is very comfy.

The hotel is charming and old fashioned. The breakfast was good. The location is perfect for visiting Sherborne - you can walk to the Abbey, shops, restaurants and schools.

No hot water on the second morning. No elevator.

I liked the rustic charm, and the friendliness of most of the staff.

The large female employee who arrived as I arrived in the car park to check in weighed down with bags and clothes. She simply ignored me to be found later chatting with other staff! Not very commendable. Maybe some weekly staff training?

From arrival to departure the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Being an old building, the hotel had its quirks but for comfort, cleanliness and the range and quality of the food it could not be better.

We only stayed for one night so were not there that long, but in that short time we did not find anything that we disliked.

As we were sisters visiting sister-in-law who lives opposite to the hotel the convenience is its most desirable feature for us. Also it is the venue used for our brother's funeral reception, making it an obvious choice I was most impressed by the beautifully laundered bedding, and by the delicious food. The fresh fruits at breakfast are fantastic and evening meals were quite splendid.

There was nothing I disliked about the Eastbury that could be avoided. By that I mean there is not much can be done about hearing other people from your room. However I am not too keen on business people having to converse in the guests lounge - I feel they would be better interviewed in an office or private room.

I had been there before to a large luncheon, and liked it very much. It is convenient for family reasons, very comfortable, with excellent service. The secluded car park at the end of the garden is a real bonus. Sherborne itself is an inviting town, with the Abbey at its heart.

Interesting history of the building. Plenty of character.

Being an old converted building with suspended wooden floors there was noise from the guests in the rooms above.

The Garden Room was very expensive, being £20 more than a room in the hotel. It was very cold, with no heating in the room when I arrived. I tried to get a heater, but was told the heating system was on a timer. The radiator did work later on; but it would have be better to have a warm and cosy room when I arrived.

The bathroom was nice but it woulkd be good if it could have a shower and bath, the shower over the bath did not have a screen.

Very comfortable room with good facilities. Relaxing atmosphere with garden to sit in on nice day and comfortable lounge. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and really made one feel welcome. I will happily return and would recommend the hotel.

Even though there was a guest wifi which I logged onto. The signal was so weak that I could not download any of my emails. As an overseas visitor, I was totally reliant on wifi for communicating and was unable to receive any of my work emails. The staff showed little concern or any suggestion to help. Bearing in mind that this is not a cheap hotel, I thought that was very poor. Wifi is very much part of daily life in 21st century even in the countryside and a hotel of this standard should be able to provide that.

Although only a brief visit, this was the second time I selected the Eastbury. It was recommended to me, for comfort and especially the quality of the meals. My room was delightful and all staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. I enjoyed the stay so much that I have decided to visit with my husband so that we can explore the lovely surroundings and spoil ourselves with fine dining.

I liked the comfortable bed and duvet.

I didn't like the food – I thought it was faux-trendy and way overpriced. There was no attempt to include many organic fresh vegetables on the menu. Everything in the breakfast room was sweetened with sugar / loaded with fat. I asked for nondairy milk for porridge, and was told they had soymilk. However, they brought the porridge made with water and told me they had no soymilk. It was pretty inedible. Also, I was concerned about noise from the road in my room, and was told by the receptionist that there was little traffic down it, but that was not the case, and I was awoken early by vehicle noise.

En restauration : les quantités trop importantes des plats, par ailleurs très bons, obligeant à en laisser la moitié. Dommage pour le gaspillage

中世の街並みを残す町に良くお似合いの、メルヘンチックなホテルです。 可愛らしいインテリアの清潔なお部屋で、静かに休むことができました。 手入れの行き届いたお庭を愛でながら頂く朝食は　好きなものを好きなだけオーダー出来るスタイル。お味もサービスも良く、至福の時間を過ごせました。エレベ- ーターが無いのですが　ホテルスタッフの女性がスーツケースを部屋まで運んでくださいました。駅、スーパーにも近く、また教会やお- 城の観光にも歩いて行けます。また宿泊できることを願っています。

Bahcesini, bahceye bakarak kahvalti etmeyi, gormek istedigim yerlere yakin olusunu.. / I loved the gardens, having great breakfasts looking at the gardens, It was perfectly located for the places I liked to visit !
