Use of the sister hotel pool, sauna and jacuzzi Room size too small, issues moving about room and access to furniture. Also insufficient space for the toilet. Would only recommend if better room available.

After resolving mix up in booking upgraded to seaview with balcony, other rooms are dated and views poor. Two staff in particular Tom & Amish should be recognised for their professional service, would be nice to hear this has been acknowledged. Short staffed & when there are parties guests suffer from lack of facilities

Location was excellent and comfort ideal. Very good position from which to reach other locations and in the evening only a short walk into town. To be recommended.

Staff were very good and helpful, if a it short-handed on occasions. The assistant manager was notably very helpful and helped me use the internet when I had laptop problems A little more colour in the rooms would help create a welcoming atmosphere

Have stayed at this hotel many times but was really disappointed with this two night stay - see below. Despite being a regular customer was initially booked into a "box-room" at the back of the hotel and then after complaint was transferred to a larger room at the back of the hotel. One major problem with this room was that it backed onto the road at the back (overnight much noise and people being sick from adjacent hotels) and onto the rear car park where the hotel kitchen staff were talking and laughing until after midnight. Took breakfast on the first morning but were so disappointed that we decided not to go in on the second monring. On the second evening decided to have a bar meal in the hotel but were then overwhelmed by a large party of persons and so had to move into the tv room to eat in reasonable peace. Very disappointed and will not be going back to this hotel again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Had to change rooms because the toilet didn't flush. In the new room the shower was very hot because the pressure on the cold water was low, so had to be run on a trickle.

breakfast was good and plentiful.Public rooms were nicely furnished. Room was small and in need of updating.Bathroom was tiny and had signs of mould especially on the shower mat.Wardrobe door fell off.Bar was not always staffed as it seemed that bar staff had other duties to perform. Not up to four star rating.

The staff were exceptional, they were helpful , obliging, efficient and enhanced our stay at the hotel. The location and rooms were excellent My elderly mother came with us and was delighted with the hotel and service. Air conditioning in the room would have been useful, however as we had a balcony we were able to sit out and leave the door open

we were able to use the leisure facilities in the Menzies hotel next door - the outdoor pool is really stunning. This was mentioned at reception but really without any helpful information. Breakfast was nice, the hotel is very near the heart of Bournemouth. Over 2 weeks before our stay, I received a phone call asking the ages of the 2 children who were sharing the room. I was surprised, therefore, when our check in receipt stated only 2 guests. Only the double bed was prepared, with no other bedding for the 1 other bed ( sofa bed). Reception happened to call so I explained the situation, we then received a succession of housekeeping staff in and out of the room whilst my husband was trying to change (!). an extra zed bed was installed, but my husband noticed it was broken. we called the staff back, they replaced it with a very saggy forlorn model. In the bathroom both the shower screen and the tap/shower selection switch had both obviously ceased to function some time ago and the sink overflow hole was quite grubby. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel...

I liked the communal areas and they also allowed well behaved dogs which meant our spaniel could stay with us. We booked a twin room as I have a bad back - we got a double and had to accept the room that time forgot'... Horrible furnishings and beds that had collapsed in the middle. The restaurant staff were very slow and couldn't speak English. To cap it all, after settling the £300 bill, I received a phone call asking for another £150 for a 'bar bill' that, after the receipt was dug out, belonged to someone else. Never going back.

the location, help with parking during Bournemouth airshow, one night manager was friendly and helpful generally low level of service over the weekend e.g. rubbish bags left outside bedrooms containing old food and pizza boxes, strange smell in one of the corridors leading to our room that persisted for about two days (blocked loo in bedroom or stale milk spilt on carpet and not cleaned?). General sense that there was little management oversight during the weekend and staff not especially motivated (e.g. previous drinks and food not cleared from tables in bar / lounge during the evening though staff were not busy). Staff not trained or forgetful (e.g. cleaner barged into room without knocking)

It was a big room, view of the ocean and very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and found the whole experience very good. It was all good value for money and the staff were very happy to help wherever possible. The hotel is a looking a little tired in places but still a nice place to stay. I would definitely recommend it.
