The location was excellent. The public areas were well-appointed and well designed It was a hot day. The room was stuffy and inadequately ventilated. |

Had a lovely 3 night short break - staff were attentive - our room overlooked the beach and pool was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good with pleny of it! Evening meals were very good and the waiting staff were efficient and friendly. All in all had a very pleasant stay and would consider another stay at some time in the future. |

It was a comfortable Hotel and the staff were very friendly. There was just one thing. The room was very hot, especially during the heat wave, and the windows did not open very much. |

It was in a beautiful position. The staff seemed friendly and keen to help. We were greeted by every member of staff we encountered. The lavatory did not flush and this we found very poor! |

The staff were very friendly & helpful especially James on reception, we had a great view from the room which was very modern, plenty of space and clean. Dining staff were also very good & I would definitely recommend the "full English" The outside could do with a lick of paint, although the spa facilities at the Carlton can be used the pool at the East Cliff could do with a good clean or be emptied. Sound proofing between corridor & rooms could have been better, slightly noisy at times. |

Well located on the East Cliff, within walking distance from the beach, pier, and town cente. Marvellous sea view from the verandah. Very nice full English breakfast.buffet. My single room was spacious and well appointed, and seemed to have been recently refurbished. |

Hotel staff helpful and courteous. Food excellent. Furnishings and fittings in room and bathroom ( Standard double ) very tired and badly in need of refurb. Toilet paper must be cheapest on the planet ! Not what one would expect from a 4 star hotel where normal tariff was displayed at £205 per night b&b ( I got it for half the price by using Booking.com ). Bar drinks grossly overpriced. Would have been extremely unhappy if I'd paid full price for the room ! To sum up - this hotel's ok if you don't spend much time in your room, don't drink in the bar, and don't pay hotel's tariff, book through an agency. |

I liked the interior of the hotel, the staff were great. Didn't get the room I wanted. Asked for a twin, sea facing. was given a double bed (I had my daughter with me) and non sea facing. |

The location of the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the hotel lacked information. The receptionist did come across as friendly since she did ask us how our journey was but sadly i did feel alittle upset since she didnt explain anything to me. |

The position of the hotel and the simple clean lines of the sea view room and bathroom. The room was very clean, adequately appointed and unfussy. The restaurant. The food was not good (insipid) and the decor was a bit tired. It lacked real atmosphere and we think you are missing a trick. |

We were very pleased with our stay at the Menzies East Cliff Court hotel. It was very clean and tidy, staff helpful and polite and the room sizes were fantastic. Excellent value for money and would happily stay there again. No but could do with a coat of paint on the outside |

We liked how close it was to the beach and to the town centre. Within walking distance of most attractions. Room was a bit tired in comparison to the rest of the hotel which had been refurbished. Didn't consider the room we stayed in to be of four star quality! |

Brilliant deal from Booking.com. So Cheap! Hotel Room was really nice. Especially compared to those Hotels in the area Um in the hotel room, there is not an actual bathroom, piece of wood that slides accross. Not brilliant, but like going to the toilet in the room itself. And obviously not great if you are sharing |

Staff were very helpful and freindly, good lounge and public areas, food was very good. Good location for beach access. No lift to parts of the 1st floor. Room and bathroom were a bit "tired looking"and need updating, Room was a bit stuffy and needed more opening windows. Poor selection of Satellite TV chanels.Wouldn't rate it as a 4 star hotel. |

The location, the staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and the fact that you can use the spa next door. The service in the restaurant was appalling. I had to send my desert back three times because they did not listen when I asked for no blue cheese. There was only one girl in the reception on a Sunday morning when everyone was checking out. She ended up taking a phone call which lasted about 15 minutes and no one else was around to help. |

The bar staff were very pleasant, as were the restaurant and the housekeeping staff. The hotel is also in a great location and the view from the terrace is wonderful. I liked the downstairs lounge and bar area. We were a little disappointed when we arrived at the hotel, as the man on reception was bit rude / abrupt and implied there was a problem because we had booked a special offer - when we had in fact paid full price - as it was for my mothers 60th Birthday. There was also no tea/ coffee or toast available on Sunday morning. |
