Great location with sea views.
Shower was very temperamental.
The staff were very helpful and polite, they were passionate about there job and making us feel welcome.
Our room was freezing!! we did mention this and was offered a plug in heater which we declined as I had a bad cough and I didnt want this to dry my throat out!! the reason for the room being cold was that the windows need to be double glased as the curtain was moving alot with the breeze? it was too cold to have a shower !!! so i couldnt wait to get home to have a shower.
sea view, good room size, pleasant staff
The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice and hot for a buffet breakie.
Bar area was very quiet, could do with a bit of background music.
Helpfull and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
I've ordered and paid for 5 rooms, and was given the smallest room on the entire floor.
Large room, comfortable bed, very clean.
No negative comments.
Location, was great. Desk staff helpful and lovely
The king bed is two singles together the ridge in the middle is uncomfortable. Needs a mattress topper on to cover & increase comfort
Very good, we were extremely happy with the room and the view plus the service which was provided. All was very professional.
Only one let down was the bed was 2 single beds placed together which caused the bed to have an uncomfortable spine down it's middle. Only other thing was it was raining but I guess if they could do something about that we would have paid much more.
position food when you could get it
We managed to clash with a Christmas Party and could not manage to get any service. Mislaid a jacket and no-one was very helpful. Just told dining room was fully booked but no sorry or suggestions - when asked if bar food was being served was told they did not know and we could not get any service in the bar anyway.
Location - Reception staff
Poor service in restaurant - inexperienced staff - long delays - had the feeling we had been forgotten about at times - food quality variable. No kippers or haddock for breakfast, even though they were on the menu. Very small choice of fresh fruit at breakfast. Also car parking is very limited. All in all, could do better - a lot better!!
Staff very friendly, location perfect approx 10 min stroll into centre, room very clean and tidy and beds comfortable too.
Great location, staff very friendly, food was good and hotel clean and comfortable
No spa directly in hotel
Good parking on hotel site Bed comfort Sea front location, good views, not far from town centre and shops
Bathroom sealant around bathroom needed attention, but bathroom lovely and clean
A nice hotel with warm and friendly staff and all the facilities I wanted. First class breakfast Free car parking as well
Room was tiny
Had a long weekend break, a pleasant stay, nice and clean, staff very friendly, very impressed. Will return again
We like location, staff friendly and efficient.
some areas looked run down
reception and restaurant staff: efficient, friendly and helpful Think the public areas, lounge, bar all recently decorated and feels modern and looks good.
Room was a good size but bathroom cramped, twin bed (not double as requested) and needs the same redecoration as the public areas. Barman (about 11pm) very anxious to close bar and started cleaning up around us - that is not 4* service!
The hotel is in a really great location, has good size rooms, clean, staff are helpful and polite, if you're lucky enough to get a south facing room, the views are amazing. Decent price for a four star hotel.
The gym and leisure facilities are next door in the Carlton hotel. Didn't fancy walking across a cold car park in our leisure attire so didn't use them which we wanted to do.
Peace and quiet
Room Quiet Location Parking Friendly staff
Staff amazing, and very friendly
We paid around £80 for a double room and no breakfast. The double room was modern but small but the bathroom although white looked tired/needed updating
Location fab, room very nice
Breakfast (cooked) was not great but other than that great stay
