Loved the soft comfortable beds.Friendly staff. Yes that the TV had a really fussy picture and no sky and as I stayed in the room all night that spoilt it a bit for me as I was hoping to watch a true movie but even watching BBC or Anglia made my eyes go funny so I ended up reading. |

The close proximity to all of interest in Oxford I found it very difficult to drive there. Better instructions on negotiating the complexity of Oxford's streets would be helpful. Also availability of mineral water in rooms would be good. |

it is in a great location, it could be a realy good hotel but it is not staffed by people of a high calibre. I was told that of course the water was not hot and the room cold because the hotel was not full!. Not my problem, i s an hotel or nnot. If they cannot run an hotel in cold weather they should close it. It was badly run and sparsely furnished interms of toiletries, (not even any cotton wool in the bathroom) no minibar or room service menu. No offer of carrying suitaces up to our room. We havd to struggle up the stairs ourselves. I have stayed at the hotel several times before and it was convenient and comfortable. I will notbe staying there again. The room was cold, there was no hot water, the mini bar had been emptied, no room service menu, the curtains would not draw to shut out the light . |

Excellent location just off the high street, helpful friendly staff, very nice breakfast. The hot water in our room was a bit sparse to say the least. |

Ease of access to the centre of Oxford - Good restaurant - Car Parking Thought the room was very small, but then again price wise the cost to the booking was very reasonable |

We were very happy with our room- comfy bed, space to move about, good sized tv and fabulous bathroom and all just a short walk to the main shopping area and colleges for sightseeing. The breakfast was fantastic. We had a taxi waiting outside to take us to the station and the receptionist seemed to take a really long time to book us out- way too much unnecessary paper work. We are not sure whether she worked slowly on purpose, but with a taxi waiting, she could have been quicker. |

Restauant and bar were pleasant and staff friendly and very helpful . When I needed to stay for a second night although the Eastgate was full they found me a room nearby. The single room I was given was very small with a rather over large TV!! |

The location is very good. Also to have a hotel car park was very important to us. The security of your car keys when given to the reception staff, keys were too easily handed back to you. Needs more control. The reception staff were unfriendly. Also the reception area was at times cluttered with left baggage and pushchairs. The cooked breakfast was cool on cool plates and had obviously been made quite a while a head. The bacon was very bad, rubbery. The staff did not seem to care. Just went through the routine of the job. |
