Parking was ridiculous, like a chequer-board 3-cars deep at the back of the hotel, and you were expected to hand over your keys so staff could move your car if needed. For £20 a night. Staff on reception were polite but not warm, and couldn't tell me if staff moving my car was covered on my insurance! I parked myself and declined to hand over my key.
The room was elegantly decorated but the shower hose leaked badly, paintwork was chipped, the bed was really soft (too soft for me) and the hairdryer over-heated and melted itself. It was comfy but I'm glad work was paying, it wasn't worth £150 never mind £225. But that's central Oxford for you - everything in Oxford is super-expensive, I would recommend visiting for the day and taking a picnic instead.
Comfy, warm room, characterful building, great location. Can't comment on breakfast as decided against paying £10 each for it. We should have done really.
