Rooms were spacious with fabulous views. The grounds were stunning. Reception and bar staff were excellent. Overall we had a great break and we would return. For a 4* venue it's fabulous but would like to see them make it through to a 5* venue Food was overpriced for level. Would expect mitchelin star food at that level of pricing in the main restaurant. The service wasn't great in the restaurant either. Staff were rushed off of their feet and not refreshing drinks or serving tables in reasonable time frames expected at this level.

Location; views, character, some excellent and friendly staff in the dining rooms, leisure facilities, kitchens, and housekeeping - friendly and welcoming. A fabulous wedding and wedding reception. The Reception staff, and bar staff were amongst the poorest we have come across. Their attitude was abrupt and in both cases, gave the strong impression that, as guests, we were not welcome. Reception, especially, both on arrival and departure verged on rude. On the Sunday, we paid for an overpriced coffee with cold milk, and were given nuts to eat with it. On leaving the bar, two staff said privately to each other, 'that was quick' as we left. In the bar and at reception, nobody said farewell nor wished us a good onward journey. All this in contrast to colleagues elsewhere in the hotel, and in contrast from a very different market segment at Brewers Fayre later in that day in Uxbridge where staff could not have been more welcoming. We are in two minds about whether , ever, to return to Eastwell

The beautiful surroundings The dinner was poor, far to expensive for the tiny portions (cannot see the difference between the lunch menu at half the price and the dinner) tough lamb cutlets....should never happen and then we get charged for after dinner chocolates we never ordered.....

The setting, the building, the general ambience and the breakfast Table d'hote dinner was good quality but a little too old fashioned 'nouvelle cuisine' ie. large plates but with little food on them and therefore over priced. Check out was slow, bathrobes were dirty

The Cottage Mews room very good. Room was not ready and was asked if we would like a coffee in the bar area which was fine. However it would have been nice if the reception had informed us when it was rather than us have to go and enquire again. Drinks very over priced.

Lovely country house. Beautiful grounds, first class restaurant. Excepting that standards like this come at a price I do feel a starter for £18 and bottle of water at £5 is excessive. In general the staff were excellent and faultless with one exception. The young lady in attendance at morning reception should clearly have got her money back from charm school!

Reception, welcome feeling from staff, food, facilities. The brochure states that the 'Mews Cottages are luxurious. They are not. Clean, yes, also comfortable, tv upstairs and down, plus cooking facilities if you want them, but the decor, curtains, carpet etc were unattractive. A stained stair carpet and peeling wall-paper laft a tatty feeling.

The manor was excellent on all counts; staff, service, food, wine, location, decor, atmosphere, pianist etc. the mid week wonder break is very good value for money The staff and service at the pavilion did not live up to the manor. The spa reception was inefficient and disinterested, the salon was a mess. The 'product' was good but the unprofessional ism of the staff was unexpected

Loved the mews cottage, and the complimentary sherry! And Richard of course! Being told that the light meals in the bar were not being served that evening after we had checked in the afternoon that they were. We did have delicious food in the bar in the end. Next time we'll make sure we're hungry enough for the lovely restaurant menu.
