Very friendly atmaoshere. Outstanding food in the restaraunt.

I like the little note book to write down any thoughts you got e.g. I needed more tea bags and sugar for the next day there was there waiting for me when I came back to the room. Nothing was any trouble for the housekeepers so very friendly.

Tv was the problem their was very old and you could only get a few channels on it. I did phone down to tell them about it and said I would watch tv on my tablet so asked about the internet I followed what she told me but I could only get 30minutes a time which was not very good when you wanted to watch a film.

very little in rooms, need more tea,coffee, milk and some biscuits, for what you are paying very minimal. Bar prices very expensive. Television in room very old.

rooms need total refubishment, stained bed, stained carpets, kettle in room didnt work, shower was hard to work, grime between bath and panel, cracked bathroom tiles and television old fashioned kind.

The room was clean and very comfortable. Staff were smart in their uniforms, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb in a relaxed atmosphere.

sound insulation between rooms on the same floor is poor. Water pressure for the shower was almost zero

Food a little expensive but very good quality. Breakfast probably near the top of the list for quality. Lounge are very relaxing and pleasant and staff very friendly and helpful.

Room (138) was not good at all, very tired and reported lights not working and never fixed. Had to ask for Desk lamp to enable me to work. Would never stay again due to the room which was not as expected from the web site.

the room had seen better days - all in all just very shabby and required substantial upgrading! Youd expect much more from a 4 star hotel, but the cups were dirty, not much selection for tea/coffee, the tv was an old box style and reception was terrible!, the best was old and unfirm, odd stains on the walls and even the lamp shades were wonky. I could go on but you get the picture. I got a deal on this site for £39 for a double room. Im glad i didnt pay anymore otherwise i would have complained.

1. My room door did not shut itself and was open when I arrived and after it was serviced. 2. My televsion picture was so snowy I could not watch it. I twice asked at reception for them to sort it out out nothing happened. 3. My toiletries and tea/coffee supplies were not replenished until I asked. 4. The heating was turned off during the day, even when it was very cold outside!! 5. The Tempus restaurant menu was not at all inspiring.

being a repeat customer I was expecting the same high standard as we experienced before, wrong, room, bed and passage ways getting very tired, evening meal was bad, fishcakes were unedible (way to many herbs !), as was the risotto (hard rice ?), self serve breakfast items were ok, but had a long wait for a poached egg.

Clean and upgraded rooms well furnished. Very spacious grounds - well kept. Would only recommend for business travellers or say large weddings but was attending a funeral. Would check on who they have booked before booking again and ask for a quiet room away from large parties - probably top floor.

Long way to walk from carpark to bedrooms and no help offered. Very long corridors and could spend ages walking to the exit. Not suitable for less able. Very noisy with large conference groups going past bedroom in the early hours or wedding parties. Not a holiday destination.. All bedrooms doors extremely noisy. Cheap, not very comfortable pillows. Room cold during the day. Long walk from spa to bedrooms so had to either walk through large crowds of beer spilling conference attenders in robe or get fully dressed. Sauna not working.

The restaurant and food available was excellent. Best food for a long time at a hotel. Friendly and helpfull staff on reception and in the restaurant.

The rooms where slightly shabby and dust on the lamps.

Receptionist was very helpful and attentative. Friendly bar staff.

Some of the staff at breakfast were too familiar, I was called "me duck" and was I meeting someone as most people did!

Excellent staff on arrival desk, less so on departure. Excellent bar staff, one lady in particular.

My bedrooom stank and there was a damp patch on the floor by the bed. Huge distances from my room (166) to restaurant, bar and reception. Not good if you struggle with walking very far.

the pool was out of use 3-5 on saturday for childrens lessons which we wasnt informed before hand so we didnt get to use the facilities!!!!

Hotel is always clean

being told not to sit at a specific table at 9am in the morning as it was set for dinner! no more than 12 people in whole hotel overnight. We asked the 'waitress' to remove the glasses so we could sit there as curtains were closed and resturant was dark! we were snubbed, also the following day! I suggest that some staff needed training in customer care. It wasn't a cheap stay at £144 .50 for 2 nights and I expected more courtesy.

The food was first class. The staff were amazing, they were very friendly and welcoming and attentive especially the young man on reception and the restaurant Manager who was wonderful and couldn't be faulted. The hotel is beautiful,my partner and I got engaged during our stay and are considering having our wedding there too.

The bedroom decor was a little tired and could have done with some upgrading, for instance the bathroom floor tiles were cracked and there was visible water damage to areas around the bath.The tea and coffee making facilities were not too great for a hotel of this standard. The swimming pool was busy with kids, and as a guest felt like we could only access the pool at restricted times only as the pool is used by non residents so felt a little put out as we had to wait for a pieceful leisurely swim.

I Had room service and asked for sparkling water which was served in a bottle that said still. The TV didn;t work at all but I was too tired to bother. Receptionist on check out was really quite blunt and abrupt.
